He cancelled the fight with Casimero because of the personal attacks on him and his family.

But he has option B - the Inoue fight, which is more exciting to see against a all Filipino war.

No one is underestimating Donaire, it's that he is facing the Monster who beat him in the first fight although somewhat he won because he as able to break Inoue's orbital bone.
and a considered as Rematch , We know how close their last fight was and I believe that if there is a chance to make it best again then this is the right time.

This will turn out as decision making for Donaire that if he lose on this one then he might really consider Retiring as We also believe that he is in the right age of leaving the boxing arena and become at least a Trainor or a manager depend on what next step he is planning for.

But i will still go for Donaire in this one no matter how advantageous Inoue is.

Is there any progress now about this supposed fight?

Since the fight between Donaire and Casimero has been permanently cancelled, never heard of Donaire or Inoue anymore talking about the possibility of the fight. Or there will be a respective match first before they will bout again.

Like, the boxing council is waiting for the winner of Casimero vs Rigo first.

Both camps are still silent. So we have no idea if this Inoue-Donaire II will materialize soon. In case, Casimero wins over Rigo, I believe Inoue-Casimero will happen much early. Maybe they are still weighing their options here. Let us see once the bout of Casimero-Rigo is finished.

let's take it one step at a time, I know we want a Filipino champion as we support them, but Casimero still has to win against Rigondeaux so he will pass on the next stage.

True, Rigondeaux already not in his prime anymore is a very dangerous fighter, dangerous in a manner that he can beat an opponent with his defensive style, I think even if Inoue will face Rigondeaux, there's still not assurance that Inoue will win, and we can count out Donaire as he loses against Rigondeaux in their fight.
One loss to a  boxer doesnt mean that he would really be having that kind of status forever. We wont know if Donaire had really improved or not but surely these two had already past their prime.
Inoue is been targeted out mainly but i dont see for this guy to be beaten up easily.Lets just see  on how Donaire would be handling out Inoue if they would be having  a rematch.
If this fight would happen then it   would really be getting that some of attention or hype specially we had already  seen those past match-ups.

Though Donaire lost in the first fight, I think his odds are better now compared to the last time as he won against a champion and not only a simple win, he won by his signature KO style. Also, I believe that Donaire will be more inspired, will work hard to beat Inoue as he wants to have a good legacy in boxing and would like to retire as champion in the bantam weight division.

Obviously, it will be better as he is a champion now unlike in their last fight that he was not holding a belt. Though the odds are good for Donaire it's not good for the bettors as we want high odds for Donaire for better payout in case he will upset the monster, actually, we can't call it an upset as both are champions and this is a unification fight.

I agree with that, but if Casimero will reign in the bantamweight division, then I would say that he will be next to Manny Pacquiao.
That's possible but it's not easy to reign in the Batamweight division as Casimero has to beat the following fighters.

1. Guillermo Rigondeaux
2. Nonito Donaire.
3. Naoya Inoue

Inoue is s Japanese, so he is not counted in the ranking of Filipino boxers, but in terms of skills, I can see the quality of Manny Pacquiao in him because he is a heavy puncher and he is fast with a high IQ. Maybe he needs to experience some defeat also so he will become stronger by learning from his mistakes.

This could be the last time we see a Donaire vs Inoue fight, so Donaire should train harder, for himself to the limit so he can beat the best. He still has that powerful punch, his last fight was very impressive but with a moving target like Inoue, I know it's hard but who knows Donaire could catch him and KO him early.

For a gambler, betting on Donaire is good as the odds should really be a sweet one, we can get at least +300 in this fight.

Or this could be Donaire's last fight  Smiley. He is 38 years old if I'm correct and there's no much attractive fight out there for him if he losses this fight unless he wants to be a stepping stone for the young guns of this weight category which I doubt he will do.

I'll wait for some option like Inoue winning by decision and see if it's attractive but won't bet for Donaire here. Betting with head and not with heart but I would be very happy if he wins this fight.

Most probably, that's why he needs to win this fight, otherwise, there's no reason for him to fight if he is concern about his pride. If he will retire after this fight, he will still be recognized as one of the greatest boxers in the Philippines, so not bad for him.

Next to Pacman is Donaire based on success ranking in the world of boxing, so yes, he will be recognized as one of the best boxers in the Philippines. It's not yet over for him, he can still fight and could win this rematch, but like most of us believe here, his chance is very low against the beast of Japan.

The age factor is not a big deal, IMO, Inoue is just the better fighter and he will win against Donaire.

In the first fight, we saw how Inoue had dominated the fight, I think the same thing will happen in the rematch.
Donaire understands his chances, but he also wants to take a big risk because if he wins, he will get a good reward for being a unified champion.
I like Donaire because he is not afraid of taking big fights, but this time, I just feel Donaire has faced the best fighter in the division and he can't beat him.

Worth the risk, knowing that he's not getting any younger and if luck hits him then retiring with this kind of achievements is really sweet Wink

But statistically right, Inoue is more younger, skilled and powerful than Donaire, we all witness that from the first fight and from those other fights of Inoue, comparing will favor Inoue.

can't wait for this rematch, still siding for Donaire  Roll Eyes Grin Goodluck though!
Or maybe Nonito is reallylooking for His final Fight before retiring and he found that Inoue is the best contender .

He had already Lose in their first bout so if he lose again then that is deciding factor to retire.

But the thing is if he wins this time as surely the final bout will happen again for decision.
This could be his last and maybe this is also one of the reason why they cancelled their supposedly match between Casimero.

Donaire should do everything to atleast have a chance to win but for sure Inoue will also take this seriously because he's a champion and he has to defend the belt as much as possible.

Age plays a big role but we should not underestimate Nonito because he's also a good boxer. This rematch should happen because we deserve to witness great matches again, I'll place my bet on where the odds is.

Yep, this could be it for Donaire, so me thinking that he will go all in this fight and will try to knock out Inoue. So this will be war from the first round.

Donaire, can't go up in weight, we have seen it before and didn't end well for him. He has knock out of Nicolas Walters.

But maybe he can go after Casimero for fun and giggles.

On the contrary, I think Donaire will still campaign in this division even if he lost to Inoue again.

No need to go up in weight, he can't bring his power, and as you have said, his first attempt was a failure.

He can still remain relevant after a potential lost, and fight others including the winner or loser of the Casimero vs Rigo match.

If Inoue will win and Casimero will win against his opponent, then we should see a great match for unification.

Casimero has been challenging Inoue but Inoue's camp has no answer, so when both fighters are holding their belt and fans would like to see a unification, then I guess they will grant our request. For me, this scenaio is the only way that we could see a big fight in this division.

Ohhhhh, dammit, I was really drunk last night, my head was drowning in a pussy, so I made some members in this forum unable to sleep, due to my post wrongly writing 'boxer' and 'bettor'.

Now i'm sober and my memory is back to normal, and i see this reply, really, what should I do with the spelling of that word, boxers and bettors, should I contact the mod/admin, and tell them I made a typo, should I create a topic across the boards provided on this forum and write, sorry I wrote wrong, damn it.
Lol you can simply Edit your Posts and Send PM's to those who quoted you for editing also  Grin

That will save your time and effort as you already admit Being Drunk while creating the post.

I am also at some point does this action but luckily that time No one quoted my post so i only edit it in the morning.

Just a piece of Advice , Never Post when you believe being total drunk Hahaha.

_____________________________________________

I am still for Inoue on this Fight .

i'm sure both of them also bet for themselves whoever they fight with. so basically they are also bettors. Grin
there still is no date for the rematch, some articles are telling that it could be by the year-end. but with the delta variant, things may change.

there are boxers complaining about vaccine passports, Sunny Edwards made his complaint a trend for threatening to retire due to vaccine passports. this passport will also make it hard for organizing events.

Sure they are lol  Grin

Manny Pacquiao at one Interview also admits that He is betting on His ownfight and also made some joke one time that he bets in His opponent for sure win but of course that is truly a joke haha.

But about the Vaccine passport ?  everyone needs it now and that is a Worldwide protocol for the world to totally kill the virus .

But of course there are still leakage of the Illegal providing of Fake Vaccine result.
