WTF is going on with BTC transfers now? I have waited over 3 hours for may transfer from Intersango. NOTHING!

Did this resolve itself?

Likely the hotwallet was depleted.

New Policy:

The first transfer from UK bank accounts to Intersango must be a minimum of 100 GBP which will be held for 5 days.

This policy will have no impact on current users.

This policy will come into effect as soon as the implement is finalized.

Update on pending transfers:

Transfers which are pending will begin to clear within the next 24-48 hours and all pending transfers will be cleared by weeks end.

You know what, you 3 have no idea how to run a business. At least not a exchange, where open and hones communication and speed of transactions are the 2 cornerstones (yes, there are many more).
I like to buy your exchange and reboot this under a new management. You guys have failed miserably.
I like to make it work before you 3 fuck this one up too badly.
We all be happy - you got rid of something you obviously do not care for, clients will be happy because they get better service and I'll be happy running this nice BTC/EUR/GBP/etc exchange, servicing EU countries like never before.

You 3 can stay on board until the code and financial audits are completed. After that... adios amigos. Wink

Do it. I wanna see how good you are at running something like this.

Actually, if you are serious about it you would build and start your own. That way, you would know how to fix something when it breaks. Otherwise, you have to pick through someone else's system and try to figure out what he was thinking when he built it.

According to ticket responses the review is complete and they're working through the backlog. They'll update the status message to say when they expect the backlogs to be cleared.

Interesting. I'm waiting to see some withdrawal proofs to be honest

After I made some noise here and in the IRC channel, my BTC transfer was completed. I actually feel bad for the poor guy in help desk, who has to put up with all this shit because hes employers are a bunch of amateurs.

AFAIk, there's no dedicated help desk employees at Intersango, it's just Patrick,Donald and Amir, and it's Patrick and Amir doing tech, while Donald does organization, at least that's what we can see from their web page, About Us a the very bottom: https://intersango.com/. So not sure if there's anyone to feel sorry for.

Still no sign of missing deposits on accounts, and no update from the original status message.

I must say I'm a bit disappointed that it takes over 24h to withdraw bitcoins. I know your hot wallet is not big, but 24h.. c'mon. This is unprofessional. Feels as if I was using PayPal or dealing with Mt.Gox "3-day" SEPA deposits.

I transferred one block a couple of hours ago and it went through fine.

Also, their Dwolla in & out service works fine as well.

Therefore, I assume, their present problems are limited to Metro and, as per their announcement, with SEPA till the 30th.

WTF is going on with BTC transfers now? I have waited over 3 hours for may transfer from Intersango. NOTHING!

Not affiliated with Intersango, but:

- Did you check the status of the transaction with blockexplorer.org or blockchain.info ?

- A slow withdrawal may also mean manual intervention is necessary, for instance if they have coins in cold storage.

Yes I did.
Is this is how you jokers run a 24/7 international business? Open a up a fkn candy shop and practice for few years.

Let me add few more question to my previous post.

1) Intersango, are you experimenting with fractional-reserve banking?
2) Intersango, do you have liquidity problems?

(if answer to 1. or 2. was "no", then explain why you cant complete BTC transfers from Intersango)

This is all really bad timing.

The payments blackout (which has been scheduled for a long time) right after the metro bank issue and my mistake of accidentally marking payments as sent all came together to make what would have individually been a nuisance into a real problem.

If you have a withdrawal request marked as sent which you have not received (and it has been more than 48 hours) open a ticket clearly indicating the withdrawal request is marked as sent.

If you have a withdrawal request marked as requested do not open a ticket it will just be closed.

What about deposits that haven't shown up?

Agreed! Still no sign of my deposit from the 19th.

So what is the status of this situation now? When will we be able to withdraw GBP again?

Legally ,it wasnt them who sold the drugs/ but they allowed themselves to used as a vehicle to launder the proceeds and this is taken seriously in the UK  and most of europe thesedays

Cf. The Mexican HSBC situation recently. Bitcoin will get this more and more as it gets bigger. Growing pains as it starts to *really* piss people (companies) off.

If you piss off the wrong customers they can make anonymous tips to the authorities causing them to investigate.
