bitcoind went down and wasn't automatically restarted

There is actually a script written for just this purpose but the restart was taking so long that it was just infinite loop restarting bitcoind.

I just increased the timeout value.

Is there a problem with the pickup of incoming Bitcoin payments into accounts on the exchange today? I paid a bunch of bitcoin to my Intersango account earlier today and as far as my bitcoin client is concerned it is confirmed, it definitely went to the address associated with the account on the accounts page, kind of getting a little concerned it is not showing up after over 40 confirmations it is usually a lot quicker than this.

On Monday evening when my requests for GBP withdrawals from the last 3 days still hadn't been processed I opened a support ticket, everything was resolved this morning, Tuesday first thing, & the customer service from Intersango in this regard was fantastic - I do have the highest respect for their team & what they are achieving in an environment where it is far from simple to facilitate this totally new concept & mesh it with the old fiat banking system that doesn't adapt very well or willingly to what hopefully will be something that will shake it up no end to say the least.

Actually that was solved a while ago.

The problem that still persists has to do with a synchronization problem between the market daemon and the clients of the streaming market data feed.  this only occurs when the market daemon is restarted and is something

I'm still getting the wonky negative charts constantly, at least it corrects with a refresh, but much more important I requested 2 withdrawals to my UK bank account over the weekend & have just seen this "UK/SEPA/SWIFT/Polish withdrawals will not be processed July 26th-30th" WTF, that's like 3 weeks delay & wasn't even shown on the withdrawals page, no explanation either, will someone from Intersango kindly keep their thread here up to date & explain what is going on here, PMing phantomcircuit now - just unbelievable, looks like once again I will have to convert back to Bitcoins at a large loss then move them to another exchange, sell them for more loss & wire to the UK - what a shambles!

Edit: My apologies, I misread that as 'until July 26th-30th' - drama over, sry for the unnecessary ranting

UK/SEPA/SWIFT/Polish withdrawals will not be processed between July 26th & the 30th

or something would be clearer for dyslexics like me, anyway my apologies

Their charts go wonky like that after they've been open for a while, I pointed it out many weeks ago by asking myself to post a thread for it, but it's obviously not a priority of theirs to get fixed, just refresh the page to get them back to normal & you'd need to take a screenshot to show your particular example btw.

Why does the Intersango order book have orders for negative amounts of bitcoins in it?

For BZWBK there are 4 types of transfers which have different processing times and frequencies.

SEPA transfers excluding Finland are done at least once every 24 hour period.

SEPA transfers to Finland are dont at least once every 48 hours

transfers to accounts at BZWBK at least once every 48 hours

polish domestic transfers at least once every 48 hours

All of them except the SEPA transfers outside Finland require a significant amount of manual intervention.

If the request is marked as sent but you have not received the transfer after 2 business days open a ticket.

I just received both transfers, many thanks for explanation.

I made 2 withdrawals to BZ (#26194 and #25923) and no money, no answer for my questions.
What is wrong?

Do you have a problem with the liquidity?

In last few days I sent 5 emails to you, even try to contact by your "support center".

I'm scared, these are my savings, I do not want to open a new thread on this forum.

From my experience BZWBK withdrawals from Intersango currently happen about twice a week, mine #26264 is still waiting since Wednesday, 2012-06-20 15:36:15 and its a 6.30 EUR withdrawal made just to test how soon the withdrawals happen, to see if I want to sell coins there, so like every week I make a small test withdrawal, and when they will start happening in 24h as promised, I'll start trading decent sums there. So Intersango is losing a lot of 1.3% fees they would earn if more trading would happen if withdrawals would be timely.

Ok, I agree, but where is Intersango's answer my questions?
Is that fair treatment of customers?

Intersango fees are too high... I'm afraid I must leave you for greener pastures (after being with you since the britcoin switch).  I will look into btc-e.com and bitfloor.com (0.1% and -0.1%/0.3% vs 0.35%/0.65%).

It looks to me like neither of these have a GBP market.

According to http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/ only Gox and Intersango have GBP markets.  Is that right?

I just bought some bitcoins using Intersango.

I used Internet banking to transfer GBP to their bank account at 19:27 Monday evening British time, and got an email 20:35 the same evening to tell me the money was in my Intersango account.

It always surprises me how quickly the bank transfer works.

It took about 30 hours for my order to get filled, and the withdrawal took 5 seconds.

All in all a great service.  If I hadn't bothered waiting to get a better price, the whole process would have taken less than an hour and a half from bank account to bitcoin wallet.

I paid 0.35% fees, which seems reasonable to me.  I didn't try the other services a previous poster mentioned, but would be surprised if they can match the end-to-end speed of Intersango.

And how will you deposit cash to BTC-E? Deposits are 1% cheapest (not counting how to get money into whatever obscure payments systems they support), and at least 5% to withdraw.

http://www.bitfloor.com/ is great if someone is in the USA near a Chase branch for free deposits and has a US bank account for free withdrawals.

Although Intersango could start thinking about volume discounts...
