I set up a wallet at blockchain and then earned £0.27 by filling in some online surveys and watching videos.
It was taking too long to earn bitcoins this way so I bought some from mercaBit.eu
The transaction went through smoothly this morning.
Been lurking on various forums to get a feel for how this works and also gained an interest in how international monetary and currency systems operate.

I have some miners with dual 7970s and some single 6950s running, earned a bit with them.

After a mixed experience with bitcoins (Lost 0.4 sigh) I've decided to join here to learn more about it and basically educate myself.

I saw the 7970s on sale last week and used bitcoin as the excuse to justify picking up a couple. And after some sweat I got them set up and mining whee! I wish I had done this last year, I'd buy a bunch more to use as heat through the winter
