From our API thread:

I'm releasing the version 0.1.0 of a game I'm calling Patten. Right now it is available exclusively for the Hive wallet, just grab the .zip at https://github.com/knowitnothing/patten_hive/releases, rename it to .hiveapp then open it. The source is at https://github.com/knowitnothing/patten_hive.

Jackpot of 1 bitcoin, max bet of 5 bitcents, more info can be found through the Help button.

Any plans for Litecoin support?

How much work would it be to change to the litecoin protocol?

Just opened a discussion about Litecoin support over here:
https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,6652

How fast this goes is really up to you guys. If you can drum up big support for it in your community then we'll be pretty motivated.

Hi adamas,

As per our post here, we would absolutely love to add Litecoin support to Hive. However, I think you're asking for the very thing we need (a lightweight/SPV backend), which we unfortunately won't have the time to build ourselves. I recommend that you contact the Litecoin team and push for the furthered development of "litecoinj" (based on bitcoinj).

Adamas,

You'll be glad to know that I've spoken with Adrian Gallagher recently, and it seems that "litecoinj" is going to be ready quite soon. Adrian also seems quite supportive of Hive, so hopefully we can get a branch going quickly.
Great news. Thanks! I will support the litecoin dev team with some donations.

I offer 500 ltc for a small open source portable litecoin client with some optimized features, as used in electrum (e.g. freeze, prioritize, delete addresses, etc.)

Wow, you are constantly releasing different languages. Are you using some translation software or are people doing it by hand for you?

People are doing it for us. We had a flurry of activity over the weekend and are just getting caught up!

Right. Some form of auto update is also a must, but I think you already did that.

Indeed, we're using Sparkle, and right now there's an update pushed to it about once per week. Obviously we'll be slowing that down and putting it into stable/bleeding edge channels once things are more stable.

We should start to think about a roadmap to get this onto the bitcoin.org choose your wallet page.

What features do you feel you need before that's feasible? Are you upgraded to the latest bitcoinj yet?

Good timing on that question actually, we literally just wrote the MultiBit guys to ask the very same thing.

Once we have wallet encryption in place, and a reasonable way to capture and parse the bitcoinj console logs (both of those are in progress right now and should take a few more weeks to complete), we probably have a minimum viable candidate for a bitcoin.org listing. That said, it would behoove us to sign a binary with Apple's Developer ID, too, for user convenience.

We will be updating bitcoinj soon, but it hasn't happened just yet.
