Investing in ICO is still profitable if you can find a nice ICO . We have to admit percentage of good ICOs are getting lower each day but they are surely not dead. We just need to give credit to right people with right ICO. If we do a nice analyze it's not that hard to find promising ones.

You must check project far and wide, before make any movements. If project solves fundamental problem or bring real innovation to human society you must give chance to this projects and check they one more time, before pay. If here is no any conceptual innovations you should act as you wish. Keep in mind that only 1% of all startups will work more than 5 years.

There are still quality projects and promising ICOs which has potential. i believe they will continue to be.
But always they have to researched (trusty project, team, whitepaper, roadmap etc.) before investing by the investor.
that's a little yet super important think to do especially new investors often missed this one, they get caught by the hype and just follow the train, and the outcome they're losing money.
team, roadmap and many more, all of these will lead the project to a success, otherwise, the project will fail, simple as that.

I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?
i think its still promising, but not as much as before, no one knows where will the market go, and many projects are really scams, so better quit as you porfits
This is true, when we do compare on last years behavior regarding on ICO then i would say its much better on those years compared as of now because there are lots of project do pop out from nowhere which it does really give us a hard time on selecting which projects would really succeed unlike before we can able to identify since they are only small on quantity which would easy to choose when you do compare them.

I believe they are completely safe as long as you are not putting your money into fishy projects. The easy way to not get scammed us to start identifying the ways to know which ICO project is good and which is not legit one. We can always rely on the forum and different threads about the ICO project created by investors like us. The discussion gives really important information regarding it and slowly you can build a trust on the ICO. Then only go for ICO investment.

I think getting scammed can be minimised by putting money into those projects which are having good team members on it. Or at least those people who have already managed many ICO and launched it successfully. So yeah with proper study ICO are still good investment.

It is still promising but it's unfortunately true that most of new ones are scams. You need to be picky and do a good reseach before you invest in a ICO. There are still good ones to come like the one i'm supporting now GUTS. If you wanna know if an ICO is a scam or not , look for the team and advisors behind it. If there are experienced and well known people/companies behind the Project don't hesitate to go in.

I do not know whether some ICO projects are promising or not, but I think the ambrosus is a promising ICO project with a powerful and experienced dev team and well organized idea and road map.

I don't think we can make much or even a decent amount of money in the normal ICO investment because ICO token have the values like the normal coins have during trading , so why this is much risky or we can say it can take long time to make profit

I want to believe ICO are still profitable, but you have to do the research (and have some luck as well, cause the whitepaper might be strong but external factors can always play against you).

some of ICOs are doing great like cartaxi

In picking ICO where we can invest we need to be more practical and careful because almost of them are scam.. Ive been scam on joining a campaign and the manager didn't updating us.. so i stoped on them .. thankful also because I knew it early than later..

ICO investment remains profitable only if you choose the right coin. The problem right now is that the choices becomes so many but it also becomes even harder to distinguish legit from scams. The projects appear all good, hiding the scam purpose. Their is a need to dig really deeper as to the real deal of the ICOs. I prefer the ones listed on trusted ICO publications.
Almost ICO projects recently are best place for speculator and MLM groups. The profit from ICO really make many newbie think this is good choice for them investment.
MLM groups really have nothing to do with these projects. it's not multi level marketing program nor Ponzi, why did you said that, what's the reason behind it.
you also required to do some analyzation to the ico to make sure that you're investing in the right place not just speculating, I think that you're doing wrong in this crypto.
Why they cannot earn profit from promote ICO project they invested?
You also know some projects give members small % ref if they can adtiverse this project to people in thier country or groups.
And do you know they can create a hot trend at first time (listed on exchange) for people missed buy token.
In my country this situation always happening and I know recently Civic, Status are projects they promoted.

Yes, ICO on those reliable big projects still profitable, but we have to read carefully and determine which is not a scam ICO.
Such as kickico and monetha, the ico buyers already taken the profit since the crowdsale's price. And that was related to the monetha project and in the middle of the october a lot of people that already buy in the kickico crowdsale will be feeling same with the monetha buyers.

Indeed we should read seriously not to get caught up in ICO which ends up just a scam, and to note is how the ICO website is made whether it is clear or not, then from the ICO developer team, WHITEPAPER, and make the announcement thread clear or not, and roadmap should be examined seriously so as not to be wrong in following it.
All those maybe help to see what is the best ICO to invest in. But investing an ICO will not promising you will get benefit, if you see the value of another ICO there is so beyond your expectations.

The opinions are different on this thread, but as for me i think it is still worth it to invest in good ICOs, because when they reach exchangeres they mostly always have a x2 price + you have a small % when you buy them. So it is still profitable thing Wink
