I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?
Yes, it's still be profitable to invest in icos till now, but it's difficult to find a promising one, most of icos are scam games, especially in China. But if you can find a promising one, you will get good profit like 10X and more.
It's quite hard to find one tgat will not have any problem when ICO is ongoing. Somwe were pretty good when theor promoting then it gets fading or turns out to have a ptoblem. It will be much better if we find one project that will really gives a great plannong and awareness so we can join in presale that have lots of discount. Or join at tle last week run to make sure it is successful.

I think there is too much emphasis on making a profit. Let's use this technology for the good of humanity and profits will come. You can ask anyone who's been rich for a while, it doesn't make you happier in the long run. Invest in ICO's that are for the good of all, adding real value and you'll contribute to a more honest world AND make a profit. Don't fall for the ' new social media platform like facebook but better ' or ' this meme is popular so I made a coin '. That shit won't fly in the long run and is harmfull to the reputation of crypto currencies as a whole. If you don't see the big picture and just want to make a profit, please leave and buy traditional shares, it will make you your profit and you won't be hurting the crypto community by putting money on shitcoins.

Well, I still think that investing in ICO is still promising, because the whole industry is in its intial stage, so that I think now is the short-left time for taking great advantage of altcoins
We have different insights and opinion in every ICO and yet just like you said it is still promising on "Some ICO's" nowadays . ICO now is everywhere some launches an ico without a proper knowledge and some are scam? or either they failed to reach minimum cap it depends on how projects were worth in the future not only in its price.

The idea of ICO is promising: there are a lot of interesting projects with qualified teams. But as in any sphere of investment, you should learn more about the market and people and projects before investing your money

I would consider buying into ICO which are having much hype.. like SALT, IFT, myBIT, Blockcat..

I'm becoming more pessimistic about investing in ICOs. Too many coins pouring out every day, reminds me of the dotcom bubble.

I think investing in ICO is still promising. The price is still rising and I think it will continue to rise. ICO is a long term investment and seeing the market at this point really shows that the value of cryptocurrencies is the high peak and may continue to appreciate. There are many success stories that really conclude that it will have a good profit afterwards.

You can always buy cheap coins when you invest and you can wait for at least a year to grow it, for sure that is instant money.
Now, that bitcoin is rising well then you can get the better value of your money even if the price of tokens will not move
but that's only a lesser chance of happening.

Investing into ICO's provides good returns on the investment. This is purely subject to the growth in the token value as well the market capital gained. These days ICO projects gets developed with unique features and the same causes the investment into it promising.

I have seen so many coins or token that is under their ICO price but I still think that it could still be promising .
It really depends on the project I think even if some of the coin is undervalue for a couple of weeks or month it could be pump if the project is great.
Correct, the most important aspect are the developers of the project, it does not matter if the the token goes below ICO price if I believe in the project that could be a good opportunity to buy even more of the token for a discount that way when it skyrockets you can get even better profits or if you like you could sell at an earlier moment now that you have reduced the average price of each token you own.

If the project is funded and there are people behind the project that makes it legit, I think its worth investing. It only needs time to make the price go up. I saw a lot of project since the time I have been here in the bitcoin community and witness projects looks scam because of fudsters but after the development, investors started to buy by bulk.
I know that when it comes to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies there are almost no rules but what you are describing should be forbidden, the developers of a project should not buy their own tokens, they have insider information about the coin, they could send a message that the development is going to take an additional 6 months and that makes the price tank then they buy cheap and then they deliver the results in just two months and the coin skyrockets and they make a fortune.

Investing in ICO's require patience.  You can not expect large amounts of profits immediately.  Some projects do go up pretty quick but the majority takes time until developments and marketing kicks in.
Investing in ICO is a must for long-term investment since recent ICO projects have seen very slow but profitable growth, which will make ICO projects more likely to Develop technology and apply it in our daily lives

Many of the ICO has scam a lot of investors and I told my friend about a coins that he invested on but today the coins turn to shit coin. I don't think it is bad  to invest into a reliable ICO now especially if you know how to play your games very well.  Many investors are still making good profit from ico investment and others are still losing and getting many disappointments from their investment. It all depends on your analysis and study on any coin you want to invest in.
That's given already, with lack of knowledge most likely you will be able to invest in scam ICOs so the bottom line is
you need to fully understand the project your are planning to invest before putting your money to it.
It's hard to lose in scam because you are not given a fight of your own money, you lose because of negligence.

last 3 ICO which i had invested seems to be a disaster for me..
price almost dumped to 50% on listing at exchange...
Stox, Nimiq, Starta
Well, by seeing the price of bitcoin, no wonder that could happen. Just see all of the alts, but good thing is that majority of alts still have the same value in dollar, so if your'e investing from dollar and converted to either btc or eth, you'll get the same amount as what you've invested into the ICO or a little bit less
