I don't know if the four-year bull/bear cycle is an accurate statement. If it is accurate, investing for four years will definitely make money.

There is no guarantee that after 4 years bitcoin will definitely rise again but history happened, in the past 3 halvings bitcoin always bounced back, always hit new ATHs and now we are expecting history to repeat itself. But with the current development and widespread acceptance, it is certain that bitcoin will increase in price in the near future, supply is limited and once demand exceeds supply, price increases are inevitable.
There are too many expectations after halving. People are expecting another ATH for Bitcoin, people are expecting huge profits as well which makes them courageous to buy/invest in Bitcoin during the price deduction.

I actually don't believe in history repeating itself but it was once proven to come and I am also witnessing such an event. This makes me change my view of the market and help enlighten me that Bitcoin is really a good investment whether it was long-term or short-term.

that's right, so the point is that short-term investments in bitcoin are also good as long as we can read charts and must be able to predict well. but if  a long-term investment, of course, our will not think too much about the graph and of course will sell after the bitcoin price rises and of course after there is a big profit.

Short-term investment not only requires a lot of knowledge and skills, but you need to accept the pressure and risks that it brings because trading is not always as profitable as holding. Whether short-term or long-term, you should only invest with money that can lose and should not borrow to invest in bitcoin.

Benefits of short term investment in bitcoin:

1) This approach is more suited by people who can track the market 24*7. Whenever, there is good news related to BTC or other coin, they can make a short term investment based on that and earn decent profits.

2) One can generate profit in short term with this type of investment if he is able to time the market well. The profit earned can further be invested in other forms of investment for more profit.

Benefits of long term investment in bitcoin:

1) There is higher chance of profit with this type of investment. If you see past trends, anyone who has held bitcoin for more than 4 years had always been in good profit. Short term traders on other hand will make lot of frequent trades and do overall loss.

2) People who are busy with jobs or business do not even have the time to follow the market news for making short term investment. For them long term holding of bitcoin is more practical.

I would say that totally depends if you can hodl.

Why because if you can hodl, it will much better especially when the investment is done on a bear market like this, some just can't handle the pressure of seeing their investments go down when the market is bad.

But if you understand the bitcoin ecosystem it will be much profitable you  hodl and go for a long term investment
sometimes things like that happen. I also have a little experience about a friend and he is a newcomer who is interested in investing in bitcoin. And he did various research before starting the investment. he even considers whether he will choose to invest in the long term or short term. in the end he chose long-term investments. But maybe because he is mentally unprepared and not yet honed and it can be said that he is not ready for price fluctuations in crypto. so after he saw the price drop, he canceled his investment. and sell it at a loss. so the lesson that can be taken is that we must also recognize ourselves personally, especially our personal mental and financial conditions. whether we are mentally ready for the long term or only ready for the short term. so choosing between long term and short term investment is actually not as easy as it sounds.

I still believe in history repeating itself until there is new history. As we also know that we do not have a crystal ball to predict the future, so the only way is to look at history to predict it and hope that it will repeat. And when we look to the long term, looking to the future, if history doesn't repeat itself it's not a big deal because just look at what bitcoin has been and is creating. We can see a marked change from 2021 to the present, bitcoin is more known, bitcoin is mass-adopted at the corporate, corporate, even national level. And they are increasing day by day, so bitcoin is always a good investment in the long term.

All other investments, especially Bitcoin, should be considered long-term. Your psychology will also be safe.

History repeats itself can happen but not the whole of history is almost the same. There will be some differences depending on how the market is and some other factors. Bitcoin is indeed a digital asset for a good investment for now, but it is also necessary to know that investing in bitcoin or crypto has a fairly high risk. Every investment must be aware of these risks, such as the volatility that is expected with rapid price fluctuations. This will provide returns quickly and also provide losses quickly, depending on how to make good use of fluctuations.

Bitcoin is currently more suitable for long-term investment, especially when the price is crashing and the price is below. buy and hold for the next few years I think it will be better and can provide benefits. We just have to wait for the new ATH to be reached.

i am a newbie in bitcoin, and i plan to buy bitcoin,, and will invest in bitcoin, and i want to ask everyone? if investing in bitcoin is it better short term or long term??? but in my opinion, long-term investment is better, but what do you think?

In my experience, in this situation it is too difficult to decide to invest in short term or long term. Now the price of bitcoin also too dump I think it is a good opportunity for investors to invest in Bitcoin for a long term not for a short because it's price will be up and down. So it is difficult to get profit from bearish market.

Research and analysis of the trend of Bitcoin in the market will find that long-term investment will be better than short-term and will keep rising for a long time.
Investing in Bitcoin for the long term is best, and many long-term holders of Bitcoin have already made profits. Start accumulating in a bear market and hold on to it for the long haul to reap huge benefits.

yes, indeed there are so many examples of our friends who invest in bitcoin for the long term, and the results are greater than short-term investments. So long term investment is the best choice.

If you can buy and invest in Bitcoin at this time, I would definitely suggest you to hold it for the long term. Because at one time we saw the highest position of Bitcoin at 69k dollars. Bitcoin will definitely stay within one hundred thousand dollars any day. This is said not by me but by various experts. So even if you are a newbie, buy bitcoins in this market and hold for long term if you can afford it. It will get better soon.

Short term as well as long term investment on bitcoin is profiting.
I'm curious, what do you mean by short term investment, is it day trading or something like that?
What I understand is, trading and investing are both profitable, it is something very simple.

For me, bitcoin investment will tend to be more profitable in the long run instead of trading it with various strategies. I don't like day trading even if a lot of people take advantage of its price volatility, especially on bitcoin. Bitcoin would very well be the best choice asset for long term investments like 5 to 10 years. But of course we have to be quite concerned with its development and also how to secure it in the wallet.

Eitherways would be profitable. But if you have not that much of a capital, go for short term 'coz long term investment with Bitcoin would require you huge amount of patience given that the market value is volatile, it won't always be uptimes. But also, short term investment required a more precise technical analysis because the market price behavior is changing almost time to time. You need to be cautious of when should you sell and buy to generate profit.
I think it is best for beginners to hold for a long time. It is not suitable for Bitcoin in the short term. The fluctuation is not very obvious, but holding Bitcoin for a long time will bring huge profits. Is now a good time to enter?
Easiest way is to engage with long term investment because it would require you less time of engagement. The only downside is that the market price of bitcoin will not continuously increase in a rapid rate, therefore profit won't be constant.
Short term as well as long term investment on bitcoin is profiting. Everything gets connected to the market situation. For now the market is at its bottom and to profit out of the situation is short term investing. Quite often some news is getting around and making variation in the price. It is risky, but for users who keep themselves much engaged into the market it is possible to book profit.

Long term investment preference is for users who have a good sum of money left after fulfilling all their needs. Investing those left amount into bitcoin will not hurt them at any cost, even if the market turns downwards. Here patience pays them back with good profit in the long term.

When you first entered the market, you may think that it is a low and buy, but you find that there is a lower point when you enter the market, but don't panic, because the price of bitcoin will recover quickly, you must be patient and good mentality.

Be A Digital Miner
I have 2 plans in trading and investing. i.e. Day trading (my job every day) and long term trading or investing (money that I always set aside from my daily trading profit).

to be honest if my circumstances can afford then I will answer that long-term investment is the best. but my economic circumstances forced me to have to continue to trade daily. because I have a family to support.
for some people, day trading may be used as a main job looks difficult to accept and high risk. and I thought so at first. but after I went through several years with ups and downs between loss and gain. now the experience has become a valuable lesson. and now I rarely lose in day trading. because I have implemented risk management, financial management, profit and loss management in trading and combined with technical and fundamental analysis which must be prioritized. so trading is not speculative.
but of course I wouldn't recommend day trading to anyone. because the risk is high and if we are not good at controlling emotions (emotional management) then it is not surprising that more people lose money from day trading. I was forced to do it out of necessity.

and I even do day trading is to be able to support my family and save some of the profits to invest in Bitcoin for the long term. and fortunately I know this forum so that it helps me a little to support my family from signature payments ($40/week).

so the answer to this question is if you are a financially capable person, or you are working, and you have extra money to save then long term investment in bitcoin is the best.

even if the price of bitcoin is now down. but if you regularly look for information related to bitcoin then you will be surprised because now the wallet that holds at least 1 bitcoin has exceeded the new ATH. meaning that every day bitcoin holders continue to grow. meaning that people are competing to buy bitcoins from the current low prices.

Indeed, day trading can also bring good profit and can also be considered as our main source of income but not everyone can do it and it takes a lot of time and effort even going through a lot of previous losses to make money in trading. Trading is not a job for the masses and not many people can do it.

I agree with you, long term investment is still an optimal and safer option, especially for a newbie like OP. I still prefer to have a stable job outside and combine with long-term investment because long-term investment also does not take up too much of my time.
And having 2 or 3 sources of income is what I think is necessary, we should not depend on just one source because if the job goes wrong, we will be in trouble.
