it could be tether but maybe its bigger issues...btc, ltc, eth all coins that trade against usds are much higher on poliniex than other exchanges. kind of a tell tail sign, no?

Let the wallet sync up your transactions will show when its done.

Please forgive my noobness with this but I am a trader rather than a techie. So I have some IOC, have held it for ages and want to hold onto it. I did a test transfer to my Qtwallet (I used Qt because I read there were some issues with the HTML version). The TX states it is sent and received but the wallet has no record of the transaction (after 20 minutes). The wallet is 'Out Of Sync', so I am assuming this is the issue. Is the syncing process automatic or should I do something? I would like to try out staking so getting this done is priority and as such I'd appreciate a pointer here.

There was a lot of pumping going on after the profits from DASH's rise.  They might just also be after the coins that seemed hot in the last pump too.  Again, who knows but them.  Draw your own conclusions and decide if it is worth trusting them any more.

16 Million IOC minted and the extra comes from POS interest/staking.

This choice by Poloniex is a blessing in disguise, i will simply stop trading there and remove all my coins, because it is very shady to pull this kind of BS and cause such panic selling and in turn wipe off a big chunk of a coins market cap. I dont trust Poloniex anymore, i wont give them business.
i am in process of doing the same.

ascribing motive is difficult, but judging results is not.
their action has wiped out 10's of millions of $'s from the market caps of the companies they just delisted.
that is too much power for an exchange to wield....likewise when they add a coin...generally adds volumes to market cap of benefitting coin. to much power

situation stinks....and imagine the bigger shitstorm that would ensue if they end up reversing decision. market manipulation on massive scale.

I dont think the motive is difficult. we all know this Crypto game is about making money. How did Polo Profit by the decision to delist ? The way they profited was by being in control. I haven't looked at all the charts of all the coins but the first five i checked all showed two huge pumps in recent time month or so. It makes me believe the decision was made behind the scene and acted upon by them far far in advance of this delist notice. What im saying is they pumped the price sold the coins they wanted to be rid of and then when they were done said ah shucks lets delist these coin. Scammy nasty move. they are probably in need of btc to cover up something far worse that has happened just like Cryptsy. POLO can go fuck themselves. im out. Fish

You can check all of the delisting coins for March 27-28th, which is when the pumping began. If you line them all up on a 1d/1mo chart they very clearly overlap. I imagine the delist decisions were made that day.

Funny to mention sys coin.

Here is there software engineer on twitter saying "Dump it"  in a quoted message of joels, tweetin to Richie from Bittrex.
To get ready for influx of ioc.

So clearly where there is smoke..

Ps i have screen captures also if that tweet gets deleted

Seems sys coin have grudge against ioc .

There was some back and forth on the forum earlier.  Wish these Devs and teams would just concentrate on their own projects and stay out of others.  Too many egos and silly, "my project is bigger than yours!" BS.  Who cares, work on your own crap!  (IOC does just that, they are not a problem to anyone.  Stiff competition for sure!)

These Whales that all swim in a circle and play with each other do not realize that they need the fish and shrimp.  Otherwise, there will be no growth in the coins.  That has not changed since these exchanges popped up.

I am really hoping IOC changes the game away from the exchange value and more toward value because it is used by people or companies.  I sure think it had the potential, just have to get there.

This news about Poloniex delisting IOC is certainly a shock, but the best thing we can do is just move to Bittrex who is still supporting this coin. It certainly is difficult to accept. IOC was one of the most profitable markets I've traded on at Poloniex and believe in the future of this project. Best of luck, and I'll be here watching and supporting where I can.

There are multiple coins in the delisting notice that came as a surprised and to the best of my knowledge NONE of them were give any reasons for the delisting.

I support this currency on plo

The important question is why? Delisting

$ioc is a threat to polos house coins. The texh bringing will take away from $sys and $strat volume tremendously. The polo clowns are deep in stake with those 2 coins and we are a threat. this is a railroad job to fuck ioc before launch but not gonna work. devs or insiders are not in this . his was not a pump or a dump. this is steady growth and panic traders dumped their tokens. thise that sold obviously are not close informed to what ioc is building or who this team is in contact with. this project is as big as any on crypto. price may not reflect it now but mark my words you will not see ioc at some shitcoin price in future. ive been here in ioc since jan 2015 ive been in ltc aince a dollar and btc since 30. i got the eth ico and trade many coins. own alot of etc also. the only only coin i stake and hold for longterm is ioc. our ataking is 55 percent our price has been stable. our ioc leaders and dev team are here 24 7 and our community is always available , hell even the trading chat in slack will make u a shit ton on some these guys like jc skuffone yolo hal call swissbrokers and others calls. we are here to stay we will break 100k wih or without polo. we wont pnd we will climb create partnerships and buisness models using our platform. taking 50k 500k 1mil usd profit in his coin is peanuts , peanuttssssss. hodl work hard , spread word, trade, we will succeed
This is untrue.. I dont.think fhey have any stake in sys.. please prove your wild claims.

I do not understand the motives of their decision.. only if there was an appeal process. Ioc has development so not sure.. was the daemon crashing or acting up in any way? What btc core version is current daemon on? Maybe something to do with that in regards to security?

I think it is as simple as they want other coins.  Whatever criteria they used made them think they needed to get rid of these particular coins.  Their right and their site.  I still think it is a stupid way to make this move, but nothing can be done if they made up their minds.  Trade on where you trust and long live IOC!

We havent got any reasoning as well. Not sure if they feel the need to do so.

There are no issues with the daemon or anything else. We havent had any contact in months. A few months back Polo mistakenly unlocked the wallet and activated staking. They got a stake reward of approx. 400 IOC. We contacted them to ask why they did this. It was an accident they said and would not happen again. Did we get those coins back? no. That was the last contact we had.

There is no direct way to contact them. Only through support ticket. We filed an official complaint to their management yesterday but there is still no reply.
If there was an issue then they would have contacted us of disabled the wallet so someone would have seen that and could contact them.

Without a satisfying and official reply from Polo it is just guessing what the real reasons are. This is probably the reason some community members seek ways for themselves to explain why this happened and who's behind it. It is frustrating to see Polo is a black box. They only harm their traders and genuine projects like this.
To be clear: The IOC team does not claim (or guess) there is any "inside job" involving SDC / STRATIS with Poloniex.

We just hope to get an official reply from Poloniex and they would have had some communications with us so we could minimize the damage to the traders / project. This tweet 2 weeks notice from polo was just dropping a bomb. it's simply irresponsible.

IOC will survive even without Poloniex if we are truly going to be delisted.

Cheers
Richard

Great video by our Commander in Chief, Joel, giving a good overview and explanation of I/OCoin and how its been working hard since launch back in 2014.

Please share everywhere you can.

Poloniex puled a straight up Punk move, There was absolutely No Reason to remove $IOC, something very underhand happened.
Poloniex is not the force it used to be either, the site is often very laggy, it pulls very shady stunts to screw its own customers with this lag and all kinds of backhanded tactics. I see $IOC befitting from this puzzling choice by Poloniex.  One thing is for sure  I/OCoin will be around a lot longer than Poloniex.

So lets trade happily on Bittrex  https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-IOC

Soon to become the #1 alt coin exchange.

It's dumped at Trex in the same time, but they are not delisting it. More smells like an inside job Cheesy
Usually in this case the devs or the contact person are informed by the exchange for delisting their coin a few weeks before it got official, this
time is given as a chance to repair what it needs to be repaired.

Of course it is all about the money.  They probably want higher volume coins and were having trouble with their site anyway.  I just cannot see why they would not upgrade a little and keep the coins and add for more volume.  If I am wrong and you are right, then here comes the next crash!   Maybe a crash either way!  Either way, I agree with POLO statement!

At least Bittrex gives a warning for their criteria and allows the communities to rally if they choose.  I have no problem listing and de-listing coins for volume reasons since that is how the exchange makes their money, but ninja de-list just brings up too many ethical questions.  I guess we shall see how they do, but I am off Poloniex for good.
