You say we bought a piece of software and nothing more. Well then, as responsible vendors of code you have a duty to make sure your customers are easily able to access the thing they purchased. Since the majority have still not managed it and cannot access their assets I think it is fair to say you will not have discharged your obligation until that majority has been catered for.
Please make the light wallet and a simplified claim process more of a priority. We bought what we thought were liquid assets over a year ago, it is getting very frustrating waiting and it is hard to maintain enthusiasm while things feel stale.
People like you will never cease to amaze me, GUI was never even remotely part of the software we sold. "We bought what we thought were liquid assets" even though we
specified that IOTA was software and
NOT assets/investment/shares/anything equivalent? Even though we bluntly told speculators to literally
FUCK OFF?Explain yourself, what have you done for the IOTA ecosystem? Let me guess: nada.
What have you done for the Iota ecosystem? Explain yourself. I'd like to see a list. What exchanges accept Iota, what companies use Iota, what People even use Iota? Let me guess: nada
Quite right Zanzibar!!!
IOTA has done nothing but waste A LOT of my time so far. I have not made a penny of profit, I cannot access my coins and I have donated 20% of them to help provide resources to the project, then I'm told to FUCK OFF when I ask about (essential) progress a year after 'buying a share of the software' and try to make you see that the GUI is vital before exchanges. The arrogance and rudeness are staggering.
You openly sold to the PUBLIC (not just devs). It is beyond naive and childish to keep whinging that you don't like speculators. Every single person who bought in, dev or not, was speculating on the future value. I don't care that you don't like me. I am not JUST a speculator. People are not one-dimensional. Your bizarre and rather stupid elitism based on skill sets that you value has hampered this project and the community development. You're living in the real world, so deal with it like a man instead of throwing tantrums because you don't like
reality. You sold software in shares... that means we all have to be able to access our shares/assets, despite our skill sets. I didn't buy the whole IOTA package myself, I bought a share of the asset value.
What have I done for IOTA? Not much, except help fund it and spread the word a little. I started helping with editing some text for a few pages of one of the support websites, but I was turned off the idea reading more of your acerbic comments made to me and in response to other reasonable questions.
What have you done for me? Well sweet fuck all so far. The price is plummeting, I can't access my coins. I'm out of pocket and may well see nothing for my support of your project. At this point you are still indebted to me, not the other way around. I have given both time and money and received nothing. Of course a GUI is a necessary part of the sale. You sold to the PUBLIC, so you cannot reasonably expect them to go through an overly complicated claiming process in order to access the value you sold to them. Launching on exchanges before everyone has easy access is inviting trouble.
I tell you what David, there were other things I could have done to help on the marketing side of things with IOTA. I really don't want to any more though. My own finical interest isn't the only driver for me. I work towards things I want to happen and things I value, in communities that I respect and feel part of. You can't simply provide an economic incentive and expect a community to grow around it. That's not how bitcoin or Eth or any other major coin got where they are. They were inspired by their communities and the people who stood in public view, they took advantage of a wide range of skill sets to push the agenda of their projects. This project seems destined to belong to a clique of devs who get nowhere because they can't appreciate the difference between intelligence and wisdom.
If anyone is interested I'm selling my seeds at a knock down price.
I've wasted enough time here in the last year, it'll prob work out as Mcdonalds wages per hour, yay lucky me :/
