I'm sure bitcoin is used for illegal activity, but so are other currencies. We know that the US dollar is used all the time for illegal activity. I don't think this should be a reason to stop using it.
yeah I think we should not be amazed by the fact that all the currencies also has a mafia, as well as bitcoin, they are hidden and they will not show it, so calm down

Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities? It's easy to figure out that Bitcoin is not being used much for such things. I see more and more articles of bitcoin being used for illegal activities, and I ask myself will this hurt bitcoin in the long run?
Bitcoin is not exception, all currencies are being used for illegal activities. If someone can stop criminals they would do that long time ago. I just pray this rumors to not on bitcoin, and new people that still need to get into crypto world. For them it`s better bitcoin to not have bad reputation.

Wish not to use BTC for illegal activities. Lot other things can be done. BTC and its wallets can be used for legal activities. Lets aim for it. BTC can be used for legal and illegal actives. Lets utilize bitcoins only for good purposes. As bitcoins was created to benefit all and lets bring more fame and name to bitcoins and its founders.
Well with any kind of currency the currency can be used by good people and people with bad attention, but there is no way you can say the currency itself is at fault. Since it's just a way to use it. Not all people use it for bad things remember that too.
If fiat is being used into some shady activities, so does bitcoin. Bitcoin is being used into some underground shady activities like dark web activities such as buying drugs, illegal firearms and whatnot. Though the volume of illegal activities in bitcoin is low, still it is a red flag.
No matter how many times fiat is being used to finance terrorism, drug transactions, weapons, etc, it's always Bitcoin that receives the blame from the media and thus the people believing everything. I thought it would change after a few years, but looking right now at how the situation is, there are no differences. It's still the same.

in my opinion it's not the fault of bitcoin but of the criminals using it.
hopefully a large number of people who use bitcoin for a good deed than for illegal activities.
i think using of bitcoin is depend on negative and positive people if someone is negative then they will use bitcoin for negative activity and if someone positive then they will use bitcoin for the positive activity so we can not blame the the bitcoin because bitcoin is normal currency.
Yes if people activity that is involved with bitcoin is illegal then bitcoin will be used in illegal activities. And when people who use bitcoin are in legal actions, these people will avoid using it in illegal activities because they don't want to be sanctioned by the government. But because they do not belong to anyone, and can't set a law that defines it as illegal or not, is still unknown whether it is eventually or not.

However, do not worry about that, many bad guys still use FIAT money for illegal job and no one can prevent them. Its been really used since it was created because of its anonymity and criminal people would really like that because its really hard to trace them up with using bitcoin thats why its commonly used on darknet and we should really accept the fact regarding on this thing and we cant do anything about it.
Or, the cheapest way possible to mix your coins and add a layer of confusion to those who eant to track your spending is to deposit it into an exchange and send the coins there. At least, you won't pay a couple more extra to just blur your coins out of the open.
