Oh, how many times Bitcoin predicted death. 2011, 2014 ... and now. Each  To the Moon some people believe in his quick death. But he's still alive! Everything that happens to him now only  a pattern of market but nothing more. Remember the events of 2014, when  Bitcoin was a sharp rise in prices and fall after.  Bitcoin did not grow much in price all 2015, and in 2016 it began to grow again. I think everything is going on now  in the same way and us still expect a lot of Moons.

This does not mean anything, it can not always be with such a high price, and if statistics are to be believed, at the end of the year it should beat new high price records.

No bitcoin is not dead, bitcoin has a bright future. It never dead. Now the price of bitcoin is very low but dont judge the future with this value. For this year end we have five more months anything can happend in the market. Suddenly the price will go high, but no one cannot predict the market. Currently the price starts to increase hope it will continue in future. If it happens the price of bitcoin will have tremendous growth by the end of this year.

Bitcoin prices have been in a free fall and dropped to a low of $5,860 a week ago.

It meant it dipped below $6k for the very first time since October 2017. Cumulatively, BTC has lost 70% of its value in 2018 and the peak of $20k on December 17 is just but a stat now.

Just compare every year and ask that question again  Cheesy I was following Bitcoin from like 400$+- and it was year 2016 if i remember correctly . And almost every year there was really big price drops and it recovered . Ok i understand this one is kinda scary from 20k to 6k . What will happen if btc in future reach 100k ? It would possibly drop to 20k-30k and people will ask your question again Smiley

Comparing to last year price in early February, the digital currency bitcoin hit a startling milestone when its price surpassed $1,000 for the first time ever. How in the world can you say that bitcoin is dead when in fact it still gains approximately 600% from last feb. 2017 price? Im not sure if my calculation is correct but doing simple mathematics can show that bitcoin is not dead. What is happening now is just a correction and we might see the next bull run coming.

why You have to ask this: "Is Bitcoin Dead?". see that the price rose from $ 900 to $ 20,000, if the price had such a high increase that everyone celebrated a lot, then would not it be more natural the price fall a lot? why the hell do not many people think that it is possible and natural the price fall a lot? this is a very volatile market and this is expected to happen. Bitcoin is not dead because there are many people who use it and the fact that the price falls a lot is something normal.

Yes definitely dead. No moon.

Service being held next Tuesday, refreshments served. In lieu of flowers please donate any remaining BTC to the forum.

On a more serious note BTC is still up from 1 year ago. So considering that growth it would be hard to call it dead. You also forget that for BTC to die the community would have to as well. This isn't going to happen; while mass adoption is what will be needed in the future, BTC can survive in a niche form until such a day.

Just look around how many people are using it in exchange for goods and services. People just have to stop looking at it in a sense of buy BTC today, rich with Lambos tomorrow.
