These factor can affect the popularity of bitcoin, if the price is not stable and very low, the users will try to find other coins like ethereum that is somehow related to bitcoin but bitcoin is still the most popular cryptocurrency coin that offer high profit to the users. Bitcoin will nit lose its popularity just becaus eof its fluctuations. Bitcoin users thinks that it is normal and they think that it is the best time to grab the opportunity to invest while the price is low.

I don't think bitcoin is losing it's popularity even with the current price situation bitcoin was in. Just because the value is at a lower state than it is normally does not mean that the product that is bitcoin is losing a a majority of its user base Wink

Bitcoin will remain popular because bitcoin is the main coin in crypto, although many altcoins are made, but it will not degrade the popularity of bitcoin because bitcoin is the basis of altcoin. Not all altcoins will work, but many altcoins are failing, so for bitcoin investments it is still the main choice.

I think Bitcoin is a safe investment. If you invest in a new project, 80% of them are not able to give you a profit.. Some will not develop the project, some will make a wonderfull thing with the money.

So playing safe is Bitcoin, risking for a 10-20x profit are the altcoins

In my opinion, so far nothing happened that can cause Bitcoin to lose it's popularity. In terms of uses, and value, Bitcoin possesses the first position in the market though Altcoins seem to be profitable in the short run.

Yeah not only bitcoin but whole concept of cryptocurrency is still popular and gaining popularity day by day because newcomers just enter the markets with only a few knowledge about altcoins and all they know is Bitcoin only so whenever someone wanted to try investing in this community then they need to know more about Bitcoin first that's why it will never lose it's popularity although advanced people in cryptocurrency are now focusing on other coins because of the profit that they can gain.

Bad news about bitcoin and its falling price might affect btc’s popularity but I think it is like a sleeping giant while other coin are pumping and sounds like giving more profit than btc but we do not know btc are just waiting for the right time to wake up again then bubbles up so let us hope for that to happen.

I believe bitcoin still the best among the rest, yes it is not stable but it gives us more profit than other coins listed on the market and it is more popular nowadays because there are many people worldwide who've invest of it. Bitcoin can bring us a wonderful, happy and contented life if we invest and hold it until the price goes up high.

It may happen. For now, Bitcoin remains the most popular non-centralized virtual currency, but there is no guarantee that its position will remain that way. There's already another set of coins inspired by Bitcoin. It may be assumed that significant development will take a long time for a new currency to take over Bitcoin.

I think bitcoin is as popular than ever now. Even people that I don't think have no knowledge on bitcoin knows bitcoin now. People are still going crazy about bitcoin. Although bitcoin price is low right now I still see a lot of people still talking about bitcoin and I think that is enough to know that bitcoin is still as popular as ever.

Well, the last time I checked the market caps of cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin is still very much ahead of the second placer of the list. Bitcoin has at least 137 billion USD in market cap while the second one, Ethereum, has only at least 50 billion USD. That means the second placer is not even close, and has not even reached half of the market cap of Bitcoin. Needless to say, popularity is still with Bitcoin than in any single altcoin. And this will be the trend for who knows when.
