If compared to BTC, For now it is still far if the ethereum will surpass BTC. But for excellence does not close the possibility to approach BTC. But Ethereum has enough strength to raise its rank. Just come back again we have to pay attention to the factors that influence the ETH in order to get better.

Well I don't think Ethereum is a threat to Bitcoin, I heard that they have some problems scaling Ethereum blockchain so Ethereum doesn't really have a big advantage(s) over Bitcoin. And I've heard that Ethereum investors sells their ETH to fiat or other coins (If I'm not wrong lol).

I think the Ethereum's not become a threat to the bitcoin because both have as a currency because it has the same aspect that runs in the world called the crytp or crypto-currency run by technology. I like both of them because it has the advantage that I can get my finances and solve for each day, hoping it will not be more or the next in step like bitcoin has. We are all here for knowledge and benefit mainly just go with the flow and be judicious in decision making. Cheesy

I think they are two different sides to perhaps the same coin. For example, bitcoin is the cash in the crypto styem while perhaps ethereum will be more of the infrastructure. We have a similar system with debit / credit transactions as well as cash in America. It's just all called cash in the states.

I think yes because ethereum  is being widely used right now, how? By the smart contracts and the different ICOs that are popping out like mushrooms and that is the cause why ethereum is being widely used and i think if bitcoin will not become a fast and cheap currency in terms of fees then ethereum will have a big advantage on its price and it will eventually take over bitcoin.

I do not think that Ethereum is better than Bitcoin. And I'm not sure that Ethereum will surpass the Bitcoin price or even replace it. Indeed in some ways Ethereum features are better than Bitcoin, but overall Bitcoin is the best. In terms of adoption, development, and price .. Bitcoin is better than Ethereum. So it's better to stop comparing Bitcoin with Ethereum because they're different.

Yes I think, not only ETH , some potential altcoins  is a threat to BTC.
There are a lot of  altcoins, but I guess a lot of them will die itself, only some real good coins will threat BTC.

The answer is a big yes, why? Goto coinmarketcap website, and count all the hundred coins. Count all the coins running in the ETHEREUM blockchain. Count all coins running in the Etherdelta. Just try to imagine these coins is powered by ETH. Someday ETH will rival or surpass Bitcoin at all, but not now. Just wait for the next decades.

I have just invest 10% of my budget into ETH... and its price decrease from about $350 to $240 now.
So sad!

And it's just the beginning...

and the beginning starts to look like the end of the hype > $201.66

It definitely can be a threat to BTC. Checkout all the news about different countries's attempt to utilize Ethereum's model to develop their own digital currency.

Ethereum's model is not ethereum and their model of premined ico pump dump scam probably will only be used by Somalia and Zimbabwe
As for the coin itself no country will ever use urethrum Smiley

I heard that the ethereum is much better than the BTC that in fact is the same as BTC but improved and that is the reason why it is rising a lot of price.

Is the Ethereum really better than the BTC? Do you believe that the Ethereum will reach the prices of BTC and even more that will surpasses  the price of BTC, or that even will replace BTC?

What are your thoughts and predictions for Ethereum ??

Regards

BTC is still the best, but as I can see it now, new currencies from ICO is now in progress. Ethereum is still second on the list but if, if all of bitcoin holders stops trading, then Ethereum will be on the first list for now. But as I can see it now, BTC is still the number one.
I don't think so . Actually there are many big investors moving to Ethereum because it has a better foundation than Bitcoin and all ICO projects use the Ethereum platform because of its high security and fast transactions. I think in the future Ethereum will go far beyond Bitcoin and Bitcoin will become altcoin

It could be, if scaling was not ten times worse than in Bitcoin. Also, it seems they do whatever Vitalik says. So it is not as decentralized.

I think it will not be threat if the community will be fair both currency because it has same aspect which is running in Crypto world or which called crytp-currency running by technology. To my mind ETH wont be a threat to bitcoin biecause it is ment to bo something else than just money  - like bitcoin. It is supposed to be a kind of programming language. It is the same sitaution as if you asked can airplanes be a threat to cars. They are used to completely diffrent things

I don't see ether as a threat to bitcoin.
Ether is platform for smart contracts and bitcoin is money.
Only thing i am using ether for is to send tokens because i need gas, and that's it.
For me, I dont think ethereum a threat to bitcoin. As we all know even ethereum use for ICO's a smart contract, still people will go into bitcoin and will find a way to cashout into real money. Thus, bitcoin added a huge impact to anyone who uses this.

Both ETC and BTC have risen significantly in price this year (and have also fluctuated about a fair amount too) - although price can be a good indicator of strength it can be manipulated - and also crypto is so volatile that on any given day you could get a totally different picture (e.g. could be up/down 20% for whatever reason).

I don't think you can say one is "better" than the other becuase at the moment they're used for different things - Ethereum seems to be used for ICOs (so many ICOs!) and smart contracts for business automation, whereas BTC is more about payments etc...

I don't think either is going to go away any time soon, but that's just my two cents  Cheesy
