Scam is a song many bitcoineer and newbies alike like to sing. And indeed they are right. Majority of project that we witness today are scam. No business plan (I am not talking of whitepaper) No capital, no use if any kind for the services or product they are promoting. 99% of this "whitepaper" are scam. There are only few legit ICO! of which I have not seen there relevant yet!

Every ICO is not scam but many ICO are scam. So many ICO are flowing in the crypto market. There are few ICOs they have good project & sound ground reality. You have to study Project report, White paper, Route map and present ground reality to justify, whether ICO is scam or not.

Everybody keeps on saying scam scam scam for all of these ICO's. 90% of them are crap, yes. BUT there is the 10% of them, like vector, who are absolutely not scams. They are good projects that will really help the crypto community grow and its not fair to call an ICO a scam until you have actually researched it and you are sure it is a scam.

Just my two satoshis...
People know that every ICO is not scam that's why they don't stop investing in the ICOs.

not all ICO are scam,,
few ICO is a good project with seriously development, just read their whitepaper before investing in ICO

I never could judge an ICO was scam or not by reading their Whitepaper. The whitepapers always looks promising.

Not all ICO are Scam. You are right, there are scam and there are certain ICO that was made to take advantage to everyone who is willing to invest in ICO but there are also ICO that is true and willing to give their services to everyone with in this present technology of digital currency.

yes i am agree with this because we only know the ico is scam or not when the ico is finished and they will distribute the tokens to investor and participants and they will survive after its finished. but if somehow they can not give some benefits to their investor and participants and they are run away with the investor money, then the ico is scam. there is difficult to know what ico is scam and we only know when the ico is over. so if you decide to invest your money in one ico, make sure you know how much money you want to invest and don't regret if the ico become scam because everything is possible in the internet.

Many ICOs look the same and clone only the ideas of their competitors, this will result in the level of trust becomes damaged. But on the other hand will make some strong coins will be great and reliable because in the end investors will look for something more stable. The effect that occurs is the probability of scam ICO is 20%

No of course not. But before you strart investing you must make sure where your money will go. You  can search and find an info for the every ICO you want to invest in, BUT you should also make sure that the comments you read, are not made by the people who work in this ICO. Sometimes its very easy to find it out.

What is more, there is also a list af scam ICOs that you can find online.  In the crypto-currency industry it has become normal to receive 300–500 and even 1000% a year profit on investments. Many scam projects show and 5000% per year, though at a very short distance. Naturally, the risks of losing your investments are very high. And of course if you see this numbers, you MUST be sure wether to invest or not.

look, making icos is inviting, people dont like the banksters and their burocracy, i also got fed up with it, i dont want to work with them, icos will in the end be necessary, because you cant just constantly split bitcoin and focus that whats left of the national economies on yourself, they will sooner or later need icos then they will regulate it, till it gets overregulated and splits again like what we see currently.

funding via ico is much more comfortable because you dont have to constantly apply to some bunch of idiot bankers,

you simply build your project into a website and look how the public thinks about it and then you regularily update it.

thats much more comfortable than to constantly ask a different bank for acceptance.

but the next problem will be: why do people work for the banksters banknote at all? why dont work for ICO token? well that has something to do with school parliaments and television

i hope one day we will have some sort of central bank for cryptocurrencies that can be understood so you can directly get the output of the economy for your token to build your stuff

regards

It so disgusting and very unfair for those who put their efforts in launching a very nice project and all of a sudden after declaring that it was a succeful ICO there are someone who will accused that it was a scam without any proof. Kindly check and verify and clarifybit first before making accusation.

not all ico is scam but if your gonna investing on a coin why people dont pick the one who already have made a work on their coin before their sale ico's like that have a high chance of success compare to others who dont have made the product a year after finishing their ico after collecting millions they still didnt made nothing from their promises.

We can never deny the fact that there are some ICO that are scam but fortunately, most of them Are not. We must not generalize it because there are just a few of them and more ICOs were able to deliver their promises. Despite the low rate of scam ICOs, we still have to be careful in investing to any ico.

I think scam is a strong word, ICO's are like penny stocks.. most of them will not amount to much. They are risky investments with huge potential for growth, with that being said many of them will go under. So do your research and bear in mind nothing is a guarantee in the altcoin world. Only invest as much as you are willing to wager!

Ditto.
And don't forget the story of the .com bubble that turned out was not actually a bubble since 10-15 years after same business concepts (but not the same companies usually) became a multi-billion businesses.

No. There are many ICO also that is legit, many ICO before have succeed and all investors are very happy on the result. My piece of advise is, research your own before entering in the ICO, know the roadmap/whitepaper, know the team, and know the purpose of their project.

Correct. There are those who are legitimate and for me it is Gladius.
This one will surpass every ICO that have been crap. I have experienced them and I have seen worse. This time I know it will be a good ICO and I know it is more about the project not the money. You decide what is it you choose and I respect that.

id say yes, most of them are scam and im always a  vitctim on it even, whener i joined on a bounty ico that tooks over a month , i dont seem to get paid for working on them that long and i feel dissapointed because i think that ico are legit because it was manage by reputable and pioneer managers like sylon
but it still turns out to be a scam and wont pay for our efforts. some ico's are stop at the middle without knowing exactly what happened to them, they just disappear like a ninja.

90% is a huge amount to term scam,  there are a handful that are scam though,  but i think that the best thing to say is that 90% of the project may not succeed,  not because the founders are scammers,  but because for example, some of the solutions they want to provide may no longer be required,  or some other teams are doing it better or more efficiently, etc.

Every ICO is a scam yes. They are created because the supply of Ethereum is unlimited and you can create ERC20 tokens and then launch a coin for your idea. Thing is these coins are purely speculative and have no real use case beyond raising funds for the idea. Once ETH pops, all these other ICOs are going down with it and BTC will still be around as it's sound money.

not all ico's are scam, some of them though but its up to you if your not looking at their details first or what is their project all about because some people are immediately joining if there's a new launch ico without checking thier info's like roadmad, website, whitepape, etc.. therefore they have no idea what could it end up or if that ico will turn to scam or not. but i see that even the promising ones are still turning in to a scam, this maybe due to lack of supporters or investors to thier ico.
