No, it's not. Just like not all companies are good. Not all east europeans are stupid. Not all Greek are lazy. Not all coders are nerds. etc etc.

But yes, there are a lot of scams especially since the market is very immature and people are still learning.

Everybody keeps on saying scam scam scam for all of these ICO's. 90% of them are crap, yes. BUT there is the 10% of them, like vector, who are absolutely not scams. They are good projects that will really help the crypto community grow and its not fair to call an ICO a scam until you have actually researched it and you are sure it is a scam.

Just my two satoshis...

Yeah, not all ICO are scams. To be exact, not "EVERY" ico are scam. But scams are everywhere, regardless in ICO, Cryptocurrency Industry, Financial Industry, or any industry. Scams appear everywhere

Not all ICo's as you mentioned but some are turned out to be scams because they could not implement what they say. It depends on their work.We have to analyse their movements and decide to invest.

People keep saying that 90% ICO's are crap but truth to be told is the point of view, if you except 100x profit quick then yes you can say like that to 90% ICO's. Someone once said timing is very important with ICO, and I had to say is truth, if you hit that spot when price is LOW and SELL high then you will make good profit. All comes to how much money you want to make or multiply your investment.

Most of the ico is scam, very few of ico can be success. But not all ico are scam, if you know how to do research carefully, and if that ico can be applied in real life you can be able to get high profit if that ico success.

Investing in ICO's is a risk. 90% of the ICO's are not going to be success.

I wouldn't say that every ICO is a scam since some organisations work very hard to build projects which are solid and which have the potential of making it in the near future. It's just that you won't be able to identify scam ICOs and legit ICOs.

However, the only tool that might assist you in achieving this might be to read and research in depth about projects you are willing to invest in. Lastly, ensure that the team behind the project is clearly outlined.

No, I don't think so, not all of them are scam. Some of them are real. But, majority of them are scam.

Not all of ICO is a scam but how to help who want to make investments? Looking at any project which is also good, also prospects, ideas and whitepaper. Even for experienced people, it is easy to make mistakes.

According to your thread titled  in my opinion not all of ICO is a scam some  of them are classified as a legit investment site.  Yeah there are scam ico maybe it belong to the bounty cause based on my experience some of them are not paying.  Just announced that campaign is not successful and it will not continued to run.  But the reason is the owner of the campaign really not paying cause the intention is successful to get high rating then  boom run.  .that is the true scam. so for me some of the scam ico is on bounty not all but there was ithink.

Wow man there are so many ico scams out there so its best to be careful with what you invest in but some ico's are legit and supported by corporations that have legit intentions and some are even established in the real world beforehand so its best to do research before.

Ok so more then a question, this looks to me like a promotion for Vector.
Now, coming to your question, NO - NOT ALL ICOs are SCAM, but YES, many of them are.

If you are looking forward for upcoming ICOs which you want to invest in and can give you good returns, you have to look forward to the market sentiments, the team behind the project, the supporters, advisors, companies which support and back them up and ofcourse the whitepaper. Cool

The short answer is yes, every coin is a scam to someone. Bitcoin is a scam to Jamie Simon, litecoin is a scam to Core Dev, Luke ; Ethereum is a scam to Tone Vays... Bitconnect is a scam to most bitcoin enthusiasts. That is why it is very important that you don't ask just anyone for opinions on these coins because if you don't share the same values. Then you will either end up being involved in scams or missing out on good opportunities. Always do your own due diligence.

Most alt coin whos on ICO right now has a 90% chance to be a scam thats why investor should think so many times before investing on ICO, yeah they have a good platform but what happens after ICO? most developers leave the coin after a few months and investors cant even get what they invest.

i guess that there is many ico that is not a scam but we don't know which ico is good because we need to follow each ico journey and take attention when the ico is finish. once the ico is done, then we can see what next they will do to survive in the market and if they are really stronger then they will do whatever it takes to gets survive. the difficulties to choose the good and bad ico is depend on us, how we can understand with their project and how good the dev and the teams behind the project.

no,, not all ICOs scam
i earn money from many ICOs
Earning money is not the only important thing like this i have earned more than 20 eth as profit from my investment the problem with many ico i have noticed is they don't fulfil their promises , nowadays a major reason for the price of coin or token to increase is updates if they are not developing any sort of product the long term investors are always the once who suffers.
With all this kyc coming into place it is sure that some regulation surely exist but we still can't trust ico completely.

I wouldn't say every ICO is a scam, far from that but unfortunately, the % of scams is getting higher and higher.
The bad guys have found an easy way to make money very quickly and I'm affraid it is not going to stop soon. Unless ICO become highly regulated.
