First we need to know what hobby is, if we don't know the definition of hobby then we can't know what hobby is. Here hobby is what we like to do. Gambling can be considered a hobby if we like it. And if one does not like gambling then it cannot be considered as a hobby. But since I love gambling, gambling is a hobby for me. However, even if gambling is a hobby, it should be viewed with caution as even a hobby can lead to disaster. Because if someone is gambling as a hobby then at some point it can turn into an addiction because of that hobby. So, taking up gambling as a hobby should be done with caution.

Using limitation when you treat gambling as a hobby will not give you a problem because you always remember when you must stop yourself from playing gambling. If you are doing one particular thing and you are good at it and it gives you joy when ever you do it, and there is no negative impact of such thing, I can consider it a hobby, but anything that can lead you to getting addicted to it, like gambling or drugs, I don't see such as something anyone should consider as a hobby.
