Upon all those sources and explanation, I still need the community input on the argument to know if gambling is a HOBBY so that I and the person will understand more.
Cheers.
In my point of view, there are lots of things we like to call hobbies. If you are a lover of antique objects and you look for and collect them, that is part of your personal hobby. if you are a racer, that is also a hobby. If you like fishing, especially when you go out to sea, that is also a hobby. what is called a hobby, something that we like and what is certain is that most hobbies require media to make it happen. well, what's the name if the media is called money. yeah, almost every hobby that we enjoy requires money as facilities and infrastructure to make it happen. gambling is no exception, gambling from my point of view is a hobby. yeah, a hobby that can channel the sensation and pleasure we get. But what we need to realize is that all hobbies are risky. yeah, the risk of spending money to enjoy our hobbies.
Hobby and addiction are two different things, in my point of view.
However, the two can be mutually exclusive if we have to synchronize them. The point is, doing something we enjoy doing too much is not good. usually the impact will affect our routines, whether it's work, financial conditions or anything like that. The hobby of gambling is a hobby that is quite extreme because it contains and risks money in it. in this hobby, everyone has a different definition and point of view.
for example, I like sports, especially football. In fact, I used to be involved in a football team. although amateur, but I like it. Then, this hobby was transferred to the casino for betting. yeah while enjoying every match we bet on, there is a sensation we get. whether it's adrenaline pumping fast, watching the beauty of a football game and getting a win from the betting session we have. and if losing is a risk, isn't that fair enough? The most important thing for us to know and understand is that this hobby requires all variables that help us not to overdo it. in particular, knowing and realizing the limits of what we can afford. for me, it's that simple. if anyone says it is an addiction, yeah that is their right to judge. and I personally, am not responsible for other people's assumptions and comments.
