I don't think a lot of people are going to use it in the future
the price action of the last 3 years is not caused by ordinary people, these are people who chose to invest in crypto, not use it

Of course this is always the case for projects that are high in risk (e.g. cryptos), but when the coin was still a community driven coin this was much less. The goal at that time was mass adoption within the Netherlands, now it is "0-confirmation transactions". Two totally different audiences.

Using it and investing are two different things. But yes, since the people behind this project care more about the user base and not investments. It currently is unattractive. I really wonder how they plan to increase the 'user base' when ordinary people only know bitcoin from news. Actually they don't plan much. Their philosophy till now was to develop something and 'hope' it would get people's attention. So far it hasn't worked. and before people gonna throw numbers at me, the price action of the last 3 years is not caused by ordinary people, these are people who chose to invest in crypto, not use it

You have a point. My take is that they don't know what the hell they're doing. I analyzed their marketing stuff over the last year and find that they are shooting all over the place. They don't know who the hell they're selling to, almost as if one guy is setting the tone at his whims.

Deal Coin - P2P Lending Eco-system
December 08, 2017, 04:50:28 AM
Let's be honest here, the coin looks great and the team looks talented but I don't think a lot of people are going to use it in the future, it's like a niche coin for a country.

Also there are too many altcoin right now, I dont think a lot of people are going to buy this coin. It's better to stay away from it

Bittrex uses the company Jumio for the verification process. Jumio has been around since 2010. If Jumio have been selling IDss I guess they would have been caught by now.
Many of the large exchanges require IDs registration nowadays, even the more shadier ones.
Yes, Bittrex is not excelling in communication and support, but so far I think it is one of the more reliable exchanges around.
But I could be wrong, time will tell.

Time is catching you up:
https://cryptocoremedia.com/bittrex-selling-private-data-and-hiding-truth/
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bittrex-leaks-user-passports-in-support-emails-says-russian-telegram-channel

Jumio went bankrupt in 2016, was bought by an investment?/advertisement? company.

Unless you're having connections (read: lawyers) that can help you with US law... watch out with them. But this in principle counts for every exchange outside your country of residence.

Now that we're talking Gulden. I noticed that when I bought some Gulden my receiving address changed. Anyone knows if that is how it supposed to function? My wallet is showing the bought guldens but the original address is somehow gone / not visible anymore.

Yes, you will get a new address after each transaction, for privacy sake, so no one can see what’s your complete stack. The old one will continue to function and is tight to your HD wallet recoverysentence.

6.9BTC left in the buy book and then it's gone. Soon trading stones might even be more profitable indeed!

Well, up to now there's not given much promotion to this coin and I think it could be a 'local' just for the Dutch market. Seems like they already have some actual use cases so that the coin can also be spend in real life (https://twitter.com/PatrickvdKruis/status/924255774389522432)

Yeah, that's your typical trustworthy financial advisor for you right there!

Well, isn't it like it is? If a coin only exists to speculate we might as well revert back to trading stones ;-)

I didn't want to post this in the Gulden Announcement page to avoid bias opinions but wanted to know if Gulden is a safe bet compared to other alt coins. The reason I am asking is I noticed there ranking on coinmarketcap is way below other coins that have nothing going for them or is it that the other alt coins are way over priced?

Gulden?... Good, but not great!.
I believe, Gulden is a safe bet compared to other alt coins. Because, gulden stable currencies.
Perhaps, this coin is very appropriate if used for long-term investments.

Nah, there is too many people interested in other coins for that coin to be worth any investment from me.

If you want to change the world invest in this. (Devs motto)
If you want good ROI go to BTC
