Day trading is troublesome and time consuming. You shoulf focus on coins with strong fundamentals and bright future. This way you will stop carrying about the daily, weekly or even monthly price of coins and will have more time to read and research about coins that you might invest in in the future. Don't waste your time and nerves checking the prices every 5 minutes 24/7 and focus on the long term relaxed investing. Best of luck, guys !

Stop panicking! There is time for falling prices and there is time for their growth! Look at the crypto currency market today - everything is gradually reviving and growing. I hope this trend will continue in the days that follow. And as for your question - of course, the reduction in the price of BTC has traditionally entails a decrease in the cost of all altcoins

Generally , altcoins follow BTC. Bitcoin has big impact on market. So, if market effected , altcoins also affected too.

The price of bitcoin is falling because there're a lot of people who are tryng to sell their coins. This will effect the altcoins temporarily. But, later on when the price increases, the price fo altcoins will also increase.

which I know once because  altcoin always follow the movement of bitcoin and thus if the BTC down altcoin will come down, especially now the market situation is not good and the price of bitcoin and altcoin very fall and with so many people who invest or hold their coins with long-term

It is definitely bad. The price of bitcoin influences the price of altcoins too. So, when the price of Bitcoin falls, the prices of altcoin fall as well.

Whenever bitcoin sneezes, every other coin catches cold. The ability to navigate  the bear and bull on bitcoin can determine your good point of entry and good point of exit of your altcoin. Bitcoin determine your altcoin success.

Bitcoin is the main pair in exchanges hence if there's a price swing it does reflect in the prices of altcoins when the value is dropping since btc is the leader of the coins that are existing. If btc bounce back we can expect altcoins to follow. We are now in bear market so I take this opportunity to buy few coins including btc and eth and check back the price when bearish market is over, im planning to hodl all of my coins for long period.

Bitcoin price is constantly dropping for the last several days. What effects are putting it on Altcoins ? Is it bad or good ?

Unfortunately there is still a strong correlation between the price of Bitcoin and the Altcoins. My hope is that one day people will start looking at the Altcoins differently to Bitcoin and the correlation will disappear. Until that day comes we are stuck watching the prices of Altcoin decline along with Bitcoin.

BTC and ALT has always been in complicated relationship. It true that value of the coin depends upon the project progress but when it comes to the BTC and ALT there is always some sort of indirect relationship between them. I mean if BTC is going down then people do get feeling that alts will drop too and thus they go on dumping it too. Thats why we always see the panic sell in the alts when btc is going down.

If thats the case then obviously it is going to be bad for the altcoins during the course of long time. The reason? It takes very long time to get rid of the loss and recovery takes long time.

I think that it is bad for the altcoins if the BTC is dropping. This is because altcoins depend on BTC in its present value. BTC is the foundation of all the existing altcoins so whatever happens to it will greatly affect the altcoins performance.

For some it is bad for others it's not. When BTC and altcoins are in dip, this is the chance for newer investors to ride in to the bearish market, to gain a handsome amount of profit when the bullish market runs again.

In my opolinion, yes. Bitcoin price does affect the prices of altcoins. Due to the reason that mostly to turn cryptocurrency to fiat money, altcoins should be converted to either bitcoin or ethereum. Means that it acts as a third party which nakes it important and a factor in price.

yes this is really bad for bitcoin. You can confirm it by looking it in the cryptomarket or in any exchange for crypto. You can check there that most of the crypto market price are dropping together with bitcoin. I do not know why the altcoins would be affected on the bitcoin market price movement maybe I guess that most of altcoins are having some contract with bitcoin for an exchange as when their exchange drop so does the value of the altcoin crypto.

yes it is really indeed not good for the altcoin market price when market price for bitcoin market price drop. As we all know that these crypto are all altcoins for bitcoin and are being dependent on bitcoin market price. Most of the altcoins are ethereum platform base and as we all know that ethereum the crypto that is nearly direct to bitcoin which is dependent on it market price. Try to look coinmarketcap.com and see it for yourself on what happen to most of the crypto. All are dropping because bitcoin market price falls down.

I think yes! Because,it has been observed that these past few days, when BTC is dropping, altcoins are also down to dip. Bitcoin is strong and proven, have a capability to rise up again to the higher, unlike altcoins it depends on the movements of bitcoin in the crypto market.

Yes, there is some correlation, because the system is closely interrelated, and the coin prices are regulated inorganically. Only coins with organic movement differ.

Of course I guess based on bitcoin many people are interested for crypto market so if someone see the price of btc is low that time they can discourage but based on this now is the best time for invest money in crypto market specially in bitcoin because the bitcoin is the highest position in the market also the price of the bitcoin will again increase.

has it ever occurred to you that it may also be the other way around?

we all know that altcoins have been getting pumped hard for most of the year 2017. and that has left them with huge bubbles. now the market is just correcting this huge bubble and when everyone dumps their altcoins they want to go back to fiat at a time when they are not sure about bitcoin price rise.
what they do is that they dump their pumped shitcoin for bitcoin then they sell bitcoin and crash bitcoin price.

Basically when the bitcoin falls with it falls and the whole main market is critters, so it seems to me that it's bad for altcoins.
