I join the mass opinion that of course it's not too late and that the supposed cryptocurrency expert is either a sucker or has some hidden interest in some shitcoin he wants to promote and that's why he says it's too late to invest in bitcoin, to convince you to invest in his shitcoin. Although it may not seem like it, we could still be at an early stage of bitcoin adoption, something like the internet back in 2000.

There is never something as late, if you are thinking to invest in Bitcoins. Bitcoins are limited in numbers. Hence the price will always tends to grow. Don’t take tension that you don’t have enough funds to buy the coins. Just keep on buying at regular intervals and you will definitely come at a position where the profits will be more. Don’t lose hope and think Bitcoins are expensive. Bitcoins are way more valuable than what you think, so just keep calm and buy the coins in smaller quantities.

I am a 20-year-old student. Not long ago, I heard a famous cryptocurrency expert in Korea on YouTube.

He said, "Bitcoin investment seems to be late, to be honest. I'm sad, too. I think 2018 was the last chance for ordinary people."

This makes me feel depressed. That expert started investing in bitcoin in 2013, and he encouraged his acquaintances to invest in bitcoin, but at that time he said everyone thought he was crazy.

Honestly, as an ordinary college student, the price of bitcoin now feels too much to buy.. If it's the price of the early 2010s, I might have bought it through a part-time job..

I'm so pathetic and depressed because I didn't know Bitcoin quickly. What should I do? Cry
Stop all your complaints and start investing as much as you can bear the risk. You were not created to grow and bloom at the same time as people who were earlier know about bitcoin, but you can still grow and bloom at another time. Expensive prices are not the reason why you don't invest, believe me because you are not obliged to buy 1 bitcoin but you only need to buy whatever amount as long as you have a budget.

It's never too late, you just have to try. Do it now or never, then stop complaining because it won't solve anything.

All you need to do is start buying and the buying period can be adjusted to when the Bitcoin price is in what range. There is no such thing as being too late because bitcoin will continue to add new colors to the existing investment system and if you never start it will make it even more late for you to reach the stage of financial freedom that you want. As a student you can see the opportunities in bitcoin and the best thing to do is just buy regularly with a percentage of the existing capital adjustment.

If today bitcoin has experienced a big increase from the year you mentioned then that will also apply for several years in the future. The question is when will you start taking the opportunity and if today you are still just talking and haven't started then it will be much more difficult for you to collect bitcoins in the future. Decide carefully and what you should do to adjust education money with investment because the two are very important to balance.

It is indeed never too late in this market. If you will get depressed because of this idea, then, would be hard for you to see the positive side of knowing this market.
And maybe, few years from now, you will have the same sentiments if you won't try investing today.
So this feeling is normal to most newcomers, but if you won't do any action, you will have the same over and over again.
Bitcoin is an investment, a financial market and it is never too late to invest in them. Furthermore, bitcoin is still quite undervalued compared to its real value and we have many ways to make money in this market so it is never too late to invest. Why doesn't anyone say it's too late to invest in gold, stocks, or foreign exchange? They always say it's late when it comes to bitcoin, while bitcoin is only 14 years old, the remaining markets have existed for hundreds of years. Is that just an excuse because of fear, because of the lack of faith in bitcoin of many people?
Everyone can invest in Bitcoin and they must prepare themselves first before investing in Bitcoin so that they can benefit from the investment they make. Yes, you are right, people never say we are too late in making investments like gold and others and I think they don't have complete knowledge about Bitcoin so they don't dare to invest in Bitcoin and they say it's too late to invest in Bitcoin. and also they will not be able to invest if they only have a poor understanding of Bitcoin.

have you compared the potential of bitcoin each 4 years of existence?

you try to look at 2010 when we are already in 2023 and yes you may be late buying in cheapest price but it isn't too late to buy and profit in the next 10 years again..

those people that entrusted bitcoin of their money back in the days also gamble as they have no idea what this could be in the coming years, so why not do the same now?

you know the general advise 'invest only the money you can afford to lose"

Take my statement as grain of salt but I think even individual satoshi has chance to become valuable in future, prices we have right now is  dirt cheap. We are just about 15 years in, Bitcoin still has long way to go.

.. If it's the price of the early 2010s, I might have bought it through a part-time job..

If you didn't know back then where Bitcoin was headed to and it were to become huge as it is today, would you still buy it? Probably not.

The current price of Bitcoin feels too expensive to buy but that doesn't mean you can't buy it. Investing in Bitcoin does not require someone to buy 1 BTC directly. They can buy it in small denominations. If there are people who want to buy Bitcoin, they can start now before the price of Bitcoin increases.

There are still many people who buy Bitcoin using $10-$30 per week. It doesn't matter to them because they try to collect Bitcoins by buying them little by little. As long as the price of Bitcoin has not increased, they can still collect Bitcoin with that kind of capital. And they can earn more Bitcoins later.

Avoid being tempted by low-priced altcoins because not all altcoins can increase. Many people think that instead of buying Bitcoin with small capital and getting a small amount of Bitcoin, they are better off buying altcoins at a low price because they can get a larger amount. But that doesn't guarantee they can make a profit in the future.

You can invest in bitcoin at any time, it would be good for your retirement, however keep in mind it won't be like buying bitcoin in 2015 when it was $200. You might 2x or 3x within the next decade but don't expect to 50x your gains.

This is the reason why many people buy altcoins because they want those 100x gains like the early bitcoin adopters. However there are so many altcoins out there that many of them have a higher chance of going to 0 than 100x. Remember Doge how people assumed it would hit $10 a doge? Well the market cap was unsustainable at those levels and why it stalled and headed back down and lost 90% of its value from ATH.

I think that kind of YouTubers are just spreading fake information. They don't have ability to judge the Crypto King. If you are new in the crypto market so don't think much about investing in Bitcoin. I believe that if you believe in Bitcoin so Bitcoin will never disappoint you. I will suggest to invest in Bitcoin but invest that amount which you can hold for a long time than you will be able to get a good profit.

They are not spreading fake information but just giving their opinion on the future of bitcoin. For someone who does not have great faith in bitcoin, you cannot expect them to speak well of bitcoin.

I would not recommend or advise OP to invest in bitcoin. I advised him to educate himself about bitcoin and then make his own decision. OP should not invest based on anyone's advice, including yours or mine, as we have no guarantees for OP.
OP, you are investing with your own money, you should research things yourself, don't invest based on the advice of any expert or anyone.

in my opinion you should not be sad and don't be discouraged, indeed currently the price of btc is around $34k after being in a bear market for a long time, and it is true that the best investment in btc was in the past like in 2010 but for me personally Now don't be afraid to buy because soon in 2024 there will be a BTC halving. I think your op is not too late to learn about BTC and learn about the risks of investing in BTC and of course you are not too late to invest in BTC. But in my opinion, if you are hesitant about buying BTC at the current price, you should wait for the BTC price to fall first. and you need to remember that investing in BTC is of course very risky, so if you are hesitant about buying BTC, I don't think you should buy BTC because BTC is only for people who are ready to take risks, but behind the risk of course there are opportunities for profit and opportunities for loss.

No, it's never too late. Yes,  you are too late in the event where the bitcoin price skyrocketed, but it's still not too late to invest in bitcoin because there are a lot of ways to earn through bitcoin; you can do holding, trading, etc. There are a lot out there. What matters is how you will earn from it; the answers will be yours. Don't listen to others claiming to be experts in bitcoin or whatever; at the end of the day, you are the one who will determine if it's too late.

Investing in bitcoin takes a lot of time, effort, and knowledge; it's up to you if you want to. I guarantee that investing in bitcoin will be worthwhile as long as you equip yourself with the necessary tools to do so. So don't be disappointed because you didn't get rich immediately. Be disappointed if you can't make yourself rich. It's better to do your own research and not believe in the hoax of others that bitcoin is not a good investment and it's too late, because it is not and it never was.

The potential for the growth of bitcoin price is nigh limitless so I don't think that the phrase "too late" should be something that anyone should utter when it comes to bitcoin investment, you're still young so you don't need to be worried that you're late at getting into bitcoin and what you should be doing is just jumping right in, the first step in anything investment is to just get into it, what's the point of doubts and indecisiveness if you're not really invested into bitcoin. Also, let's use that YouTuber's logic, if you wait for long and the price of bitcoin goes up and it will not touch a certain price floor anymore, they will say again that 2023 would be the best time to buy bitcoin.

First of all there is no "YouTube cryptocurrency expert", just because some people are famous online it doesn't actually means that they know what they are talking about. Saying that it's too late to get into bitcoin when we are pretty much at half the previous ATH, I mean, how can it bee too late? Of course for the average person $35k are a lot of money but this doesn't mean that can't buy 0.1 or 0.2 bitcoin for example. I try to buy a little every month, it's way better than doing nothing. And let's say that you manage to buy 0.3 bitcoin, during the next bull run you could sell them and wait for the price to dump again (because it'll dump sooner or later, that's for sure) and buy more using the same amount of money. If you believe in bitcoin just buy it, don't listen to influencers.

...

That's one of the things that newbies think. You don't have to buy 1 BTC, no one would suggest that for a newbie (unless they have that much funds).  To even prove this, you can see that the smallest unit of BTC is 0.00000001 BTC (currently $0.00035), which means someone can own as small as that quantity. Also, you can buy by purchasing in batches, maybe $10, $50, or $100 (depending on what you can do). Don't let anyone fool you, Bitcoin investment is still a thing. You are not late because there's still a lot of room for growth, and also note there are a lot of advantages of Bitcoin that even overrule the gains.

I also thought like that in 2018 when butcoin touched a new ATH, it turns out that in 2022 the price of bitcoin will be even crazier, now we hope that the price of bitcoin will reach $100k. If today we feel it is too late to own bitcoin then when bitcoin hits $100k we will regret it. I think the price of bitcoin will be more expensive in the future so it's never too late to own bitcoin

I don't recommend anything to you because Bitcoin has risks, the risk is that you will make a profit or risk a loss. The decision is completely in your hands, but it's never too late

Well, for me it's their own opinion. That's why I am not really a fan of watching such YouTube videos or even though you are watching it it's nice you tried to ask in this forum for a second opinion.
To answer your question, for me, it's really difficult to identify the future of Bitcoin but just think of big companies who started to buy Bitcoin and they hold or buy millions - billions. So for me, it's never too late.
