Of course that the probability of bitcoin to change its value is always 1, because the price/value of bitcoin changes every time and never is stable. Check now and check for the past month this year and you can see how unstable the price was, if it is possible to lose its value then it has the potential to increase its value too. There will happen some correction of the price of course but more and more big investors are investing in bitcoin and this is one of the reason of the high price that we see now.

There would always be corrections of the value of Bitcoin from time to time so that we can all avoid a big bubble. These corrections are actually good for Bitcoin and it is good for people who wanted to enter Bitcoin at a cheaper price. Bitcoin just like any other stock or foreign exchange fiat money can go down and up depending on the market and there are many factors that can affect the market anytime.

There are no reasons that the bitcoin will lose it's value. I think the bitcoin will increase it's value because of the demand of the people. Many people are now getting interested to what is the bitcoin.

Bitcoin will never lose it's value. I know that the bitcoin will become more powerful. Bitcoin is impossible to downfall like 5 years ago. I am sure that the price of the bitcoin will rise up again.

Yes, it's possible for the bitcoin price to start the downfall but its also possible to going up, everything can happen on cryptocurrency especially bitcoin. Well, we are not oracle, we never know what will happen into bitcoin for the next 5-6years but i'm pretty sure the future of bitcoin is really good far ahead.

I think there's a possibility that its value will decrease, but won't totally lose its value. And beside, Bitcoin community is becomming bigger, and we all know that its community benefits on its demand that makes its value high. And since more people are being hooked up into Bitcoin, I think it will be impossible for its value to be pushed back as its value 6 years before.

I see bitcoin like an economy. There are times of bull and times of bear. Times of recession and even times of depression. I think people who can forecast trends will make out the best on these types of changes.

Yes the market isn't stable but it gives profit for everyone. The bitcoin price is hard to predict because their are a lot of people who trade the bitcoin everyday that affect its price. It is also possible that bitcoin lose its value someday because the demand always change and may be the people find a better altcoin to invest that result the bitcoin price down.

Yes you've got it right there are good factors are affecting bitcoin's price. And the news that are coming out that big people will support bitcoin and after the SegWit price can go up easily. The price was stable today and there's no a big blow uprising and even decreasing, this is the start to see the price of bitcoin pumping.

It seems like we're in a point when btc price would stabilize for a while like what it did back when the price was around 2.3k before aug 1st. I'm thinking there's a pattern to this an perhaps after another drama like the split, we'll stabilize again at a much higher price.

It is the case yes. Bitcoins will never fall down to zero but yes there may be a gradually decrease after making any so called drama of anything. Bitcoin have been rising so abruptly that in just a month it just crossed $4.3k and still going on. There may be small downfalls but it will not be stopping in near future to rise.

True, bitcoin may go down in value, but if you look the trajectory since its creation it goes up, that is the only thing that bitcoin seems to do, and taking that into consideration, that is because I hold bitcoin for long periods of time.

Yes, bitcoins are not going to lose values easily. They can be dumped by people only under special circumstances like when people lose internet connections, when crypto currencies are out of fashion etc. but we all know this is not going to take place so bitcoins will keep ruling out hearts.

There are tendencies that another cryptocurrency will rise and will be more in demand than Bitcoin. And I think ,on this way, the value of Bitcoin will crash. If lots of people will find the other crypto more profitable, they might transfer into it, and the demand of abitcoin will decreases as well as its price but it won't totally lose its value, it is just that, it may fall.

If a downfall in bitcoin is happening, it will happen over the next year, then become more stable.

We already had a contentious hardfork and that is obviously causing real problems on th emain chain(unconfirmed up to 90,000 and very high fees right now). Once that backlog is cleared in a week or two, we have another potential Hard Fork coming up.

I fully expect price to go down in the midterm(over the next year).

But I hold my coins like a good lad

Yes, if its demand will continuously decrease since Bitcoin's market value depends on the demand. But as what we are seeing as of this moment, Bitcoin has now a larger community than before, and also its priced increase way high than its price before. So, I think it will be wuite impossible to happen, because Butcoin is continuously growing in all aspects.

Bitcoin lost %80 of its value after the GoX crash in late 2013. People panic sold their coins in despair. The price fell from over 1k$ to as low as 200$ in time. The recovery took very long time but those who hold their coins won the jackpot. Even the top buyers made at east %100 profits since then.

Can bitcoin lose its value? Yes. Only for a time.

In the long run, there will be a recovery as always.

The Solution: If you won't be able to deal with the pain of holding bitcoins for long years, only hold the amount you can afford to lose.

+1 this is a good advice and strategy if Bitcoin will really comeback in downfalls it may be double or triple the value when it arise from a 80% crash like what happened few years later.

Things don't just crash to 0 unless they are completely useless or have poor management (business wise). In the bitcoin case, there is a lot of value in it. It may not be backed by anything but these days even FIAT currencies have no backing.
