it is definitely 100% impossible to guarantee the protection of savings in cryptocurrency, but with the observance of security measures, you can minimize the risks of hacking, for example, use hardware wallets, do not download dubious programs, keep seed phrases in your pocket and do not transfer to 3rd parties.
Sorry, maybe you are not careful about what is meant by the content in this thread, because what is meant is to avoid scam when we invest in Crypto projects, not scam in storing assets in wallets so this will be very far from the topic above.

I think it's impossible to avoid scams, if we invest in 10 projects there will always be scams, especially if we hold it for the long term there will be a lot of dead coins, this is because of intense competition and of course it can make coins die.
To avoid project scam, of course, we have to look for many references to prove that the project is really handled by a very competent team so that the project will continue to be developed by the project owner so that we will not hesitate to enter the project.

Of course it is possible if you look closely at the project and ask the project manager who is in charge of the project whether he is good or not, whether he is legendary or his background is good.  Take a good look at the background and, of course, do a Google search to see if the project you are working on has a discussion or mention of the project in the ICO.  It is very difficult for me to win in this way so it is not possible to get rid of 100 out of 100 scams exactly.

Many novices will be deceived because they are inexperienced.

I do not believe that the problem is there, the problem is the lack of research that people do not do when they want to create an account on any site, a great example of this is that people who created an account on the site of your signature today are complaining funds have been frozen and your signature site does not respond to them and does not return people's money

We can only be more careful when investing and don't trust anyone lightly. Don't be too greedy.

I agree, if people start researching more before creating accounts on the sites then they won't be fooled

Many novices will be deceived because they are inexperienced. But there are also many experienced people who are deceived, because people are greedy by nature, they will confidently think that no one can deceive them, and some scammer projects will be very mature, so that people can't see the goodness of this project. Bad. Many people believe it and lose their money. We can only be more careful when investing and don't trust anyone lightly. Don't be too greedy.
I believe you are right. Greed is basically it because even when some investors or traders see that the projects don't look right they still invest in it because they feel they can make quick money from it. Investment is all about calculation and looking for established projects even though we could say that scams could not be 100% escaped.

Scam is scam right? So tell me how is it possible to avoid scam always because even if you don't fall for phishing and go for good projects the team might decide to exit scam on you, remember scam is scam, another one is projects that got hacked and users lost their tokens isn't this a scam too?

If it's really a good project they wont abandon the project, why? Because it can be worth millions if they keep developing it's project and I will call them stupid if they leave it lmao. It's absolute that a bad project has a lot of uncertainty in their project like their roadmap, their team, etc. I won't say it is a scam if a project got hacked if it wasn't done on purpose.

No matter how much research has been given to any project, or any currency, there will always be a way that there is a scam, in the ecosystem of tokens when they are launched through a decentralized Exchange the option of scam is very likely, it is something normal that anyone is taking a risk, the only way to minimize that risk is by betting on projects, tokens or coins that are listed on exchanges such as Binance, since Binance does respond to any eventuality and there is a fixed point to claim.
yep, you can't avoid when the person is really planning to scam. In fact, there were a lot of projects last year that did rug pulls, even though the projects were successful at the start. it is very difficult to avoid the risk of a scam, even in any type of business. however, what we can do is minimize this, and standardize the investment places where we will invest the money we have.

Do you think it is possible to completely get rid of scams?

Hello everybody. I think everyone who has ever been involved in cryptocurrency investments is interested in the question of how to protect themselves from scams and loss of money. Recently I learned about the CheckDot project, which creates a platform with which it will be possible to get an assessment of any project in the blockchain world. In theory, this way you can get rid of a lot of scams, but does it help?

What do you think, is it possible to somehow get rid of scams among crypto projects?

Scam, fraud and Phishing will never gonna be rid or eradicate because it will always be there regardless on any circumstance but you can avoid it by making the right decision and thinking first before entering in something that you don't know yet. Always remember that it is very important to do plenty of research to avoid getting scam or fraud.
I agree with that and we have to accept that fraud will always exist from time to time,
even so that does not mean we have to just give up, however we need to try to avoid it,
indeed research is very important and before investing or joining a project we need to do that

And that's why they are the target of these scams. The scammers know that there are many people that are aware of their tactics. But they also know that there are many newbies that they can still snatch. As for those experienced people that are still deceived, many of those experiences are not enough for them and that's why they're still fooled. I agree about the nature of being greedy, it's one reason why we invest on those projects that promises big gains but in reality, when they promise like that, it should have been a red flag already.

That's the problem, even with experienced people on the internet, even they know it's a scam, they will still test the investment because their reasoning is, as long as it pays on the early operation, it's good. And because that's their reasoning, they will drag those inexperienced ones to become their referral.

That cycle will just repeat and repeat. There's no solution for that as there are still people who will fall on the scam scheme even with experience or not.

Yes possible, Just don't talk about your financial matter to someone anonymous.
when you started taking an unknown person secretly that means you give him the 1st opportunity to scam you.

It is not possible to prevent those scammers, the better thing you could do is keep cautious. Sometimes scammers always DM/mail you first out of Nil,
Sometimes they will give you unbelievable offers, sometimes they give you some ROI to boost your greed, and when you will invest huge money out of jealousy you will get scammed.
So, the main solution is to control greed and not talk too much with strangers.

oh yeah, you are talking about crypto scams, to avoid scam projects just do a little recherche about the project, read their whitepaper, read the details about the developer team. If you think the project and team are reliable then invest otherwise skip them.

We are less likely to be scammed if we only invest in major projects or currencies that have reached rank 20. You can check out DAO maker, Orion protocol is just one of their successful launch. Going back, if we participate in new projects, there are risk but a great reward, you just need to DYOR real good.
This thing you said is true in most cases but in some cases it will not be true. Because you you examine very well in the market of cryptocurrency you will discover that at some times big projects use to fail. Especially when they change hand of management. Then you will not know that the hands of management  has changed and within some times you will end up being scammed.

You can lessen the chance of scams but it's not possible to avoid them all the time even sometimes you can be trapped whether you do proper research about the project. I believe it's not easy to identify scammers. I never heard about the Checkdot project. You can get rid of scams with your knowledge and proper research before investing in any project still I feel finding all the things right can end up a scam but nowadays I see most of the projects do audits to show they are legit but I don't have an idea about this whether it is trustable or not.

Do you think it is possible to completely get rid of scams?

What do you think, is it possible to somehow get rid of scams among crypto projects?

There are many kind of scam that can threat people, not only about coins but many kind of investment that attract people to gain profit in short time. It is possible to avoid it as long before we made research before jumped into it, simple thing maybe seek in this forum and see how people respond about the project but we must know who really criticize it or who only shill it.

Scams are everywhere and anywhere you least expected, and certainly there's no investments that will give you profits in a short amount of time. So, if you encounter that sort of investments that are just too good to be true then it's best to decline or avoid it early because that will really cost you your money and time.

If you find any offer or scheme which promises you unrealistic gains, then it must be a scam project which will scam you sooner or later. The only way to be safe from a scam is to stay away from the quick rich schemes.  Another thing is to stop being greedy because if you are greedy it's likely you will accept unrealistic offers or invest in potential scam projects.

To be honest, I can't tell which projects are scams and which aren't because they are all packaged in the same way which makes it easy for investors to get attracted to the benefits that scamers provide.its hard to avoid scammers I've been fooled 3 times in the scamer project and that's enough. I will now only follow IDO on binance or launchpad on exchange platforms whose projects are well verified, unlike ICO full of scammers. Be aware guys with your investment

It is possible to avoid scam projects but not entirely because some of the projects keeps changing their strategy to make their project looks real
True, scammers are so much clever these days. They have so many ways to scam us with different strategy they have prepared after this time. As long as we know how the basic scam works and then I think we can avoid some of the scams out there by just sparing some time to do a research rather than do it blindly by some of you guys in here. As long as the scammers are successful with their scams then it keeps going.
