I will personally answer, it is very difficult to avoid scam investments, especially in new projects that actually have potential. Because currently scammers also have a very clever strategy to trap investors. However, apart from that it doesn't scare me into investing even in a relatively new project because one of the keys to investing is to do it with money that is intended for investment. I just currently finished doing my research on one project just now and decided not to invest in it. Basically, I look for
their whitepaper, Partners (I'm looking for something big here), Developers and team that are actually showing their face much better if it is in a video AMA, and I also join their community eavesdropping their convo and looking for something shady.
So for me that's all, still haven't been scammed luckily.

Getting rid scam is highly impossible. But prevention can do the trick. Many newbies are getting scammed so how do you plan to help them out. Complete guidance, reminder and all warnings. We can do that here in forum, the problem is those people arent paying attention on the details and somehow they take that for granted and ending up losing funds. Really not possible to getting rid of scams. Because as long as the loopholes are there the scammers gonna scam. As you said we can prevent scams in some extent by using technology, through our research and most importantly our emotional stability. How to protect money is important as how to make money.
Scammers are intentional scammers and we can't identify them easily because they launch their projects with good marketing even experienced crypto traders also trap sometimes so it's not possible to get rid of all scams. By own experience, we learn which projects suit us or not and one should not believe in the projects by seeing the rating.

Scams are many by types. Some type of scam can be prevented easily by an awareness. Some type of scam could be prevented by checking websites like you mentioned but most of people don't know where to check. even sometimes those website grab money from scam project for approve them as legit. And some type of scams are totally unexpected! Tokensale successful but they scam for unknown reason! valuable coin will be delisted from exchange, A good project can crush & scam overnight, So not possible to prevent all scams.

I think every investor has encountered scammers and they are so secretive that you yourself begin to believe that this is not a scam, no one is immune from this, everyone can make a mistake and do not get upset, there are quite a lot of scammers in cryptocurrency, you need to learn a lesson and be careful in the future, but it's better to learn from the mistakes of others than your own.

you can not avoid all scam, trust me... i am here from years ago and still got scam even if its only small amount compare to my first year in this industry. the only thing you can do is deep due diligent and make your chance getting scam smaller but not 0 chance. scammer were smart people or maybe the condition which makes us got scam ( want to get rich fast because of FOMO ).
I think its impossible to get rid of scam from crypto world. If what the OP means is to keep us away from scams, it is quite possible for us as long as we are careful, as the OP said above, there are platforms that prevent us from scams and I think there are many other similar platforms as a tool for our consideration to go further.

BMs still have the choice to stop the bounty program in cases of possible red flags that are being raised. It's not manager's job to do their own research although it could be an optional of their part to do it by their own but they're not obligated to do. Some scammers are trying to get away with this by having their own people run the bounty program.
If one is getting suspicious of the project, better check Scam Accusation board first.
