It's safe to buy with crypto currency but once you sent a payment to the buyer and the transaction is confirmed you cant cancel or get your funds back this is why selecting the right buyer or website which is not scam is very vital in buying with cryptos. However, if it hard for you to select the right site, you can just ask the forum about the best place which you can get mining equipment instead of been scammer victim.

Bitcoin is always safe if you make buy/sell transactions through popular exchanges listed on Coinmarketcap. In particular, Bitcoin cannot reverse the transaction if you do not own 51% of the total number of miners in that transaction, and all transactions will not change if 1 block has received.

what make scam is not bitcoin, but that site.
that site try to cheat someone, look for prey to be cheated.
paying with bitcoin is save, because you have full control and it cant happen when seller up the price without buyer's knowledge, and also your identity be anonimous.

Hello:
I am new to cryptos and I must say that my first experience has been a bad one, I recently visited antminerusa.com and purchased some hardware, that was about 10 days ago, I paid using BTC, now the site is no longer available, its been down for 3 days maybe a bit more, this lead me to think this website is a scam.  Now what should I do to recover my BTC, if the purchase where made using a credit card, I would report it to my bank and they could void or cancel payment, but with BTC what should I do?, if there is nothing that I can do, then it is obvious that using cryptos is a scammers paradise because there is no protection to buyer (that I know), unless there is a way to introduce the complain in the chain in order to reverse payment.

Before buying from any store you should have done the research on that store.  If this store was brand new then you should avoid buying things online from there. Many people are doing this fraud by running the stores and then away with the people money.
As for your question is concerned buying with Bitcoin is completely safe but it depends from where you are buying. Always buy online from trusted stores.

Any currency is a paradise for scammers when there are people who are easily deceived.

That is a very painful thing, if you are new to crypto, why do you dare to take the risk of buying goods with Bitcoin, before you buy, you must research and look for references to a movement and open a forum to find the truth of the site you are looking for. Make a lesson and be careful for the future.

I hate it when people get scammed because they are careless and lazy and then say that they had bad experience WITH BITCOIN. You had bad experience with shopping online and maybe you aren't meant to shop online at all.

There's a saying a fool and his money are soon parted. It illustrates this situation very well.

This is the risk of using crypto currency or Bitcoin you couldn't reverse or void your transaction.
And if you can then this would be another way for scammers to take advantage.
This is why you need to do your own research before paying anything online make sure you are using a legit and trusted site.

Got a bad site and get a bad buy. When buying with a credit card, I carefully check the seller and read reviews. When buying using cryptocurrency, you need to be even more attentive and be sure that the seller is honest (or at least find positive reviews). Honesty is not an exact concept in humans Grin

Its not the payment that is guilty, if you buy goods online with fiat and then you are cheated, it doesn't mean fiat is guilty. same as bitcoin. You have to find a trusted seller, look for online stores that already have a lot of positive feedback, or famous online stores, that's the core of the problem.

No one here can recover your BTC when purchased some product, only seller can refund back your BTC.
When you want to buy with BTC payment, what should you do?
1. research first seller, information, detil and reputation.
2. Double it check when store you want purchase have legitimation and not scaming you.
3. this point you purchased with BTC are decentralisation. Important thing are YOU have knowledge how to detecting scamer and Know how to save your balance and Please don't blaming Bitcoin when you don't have knowledge about it, everyone here safe buy using bitcoin without problem because they bought at the right place.

I don't think there is a way for you to recover your BTC since it is already sent. Its unfortunate that you bought something from a scam site but before you bought anything online regardless if its going to paid in BTC, credit card or paypal, you should check the integrity of the site first, look for any feedback even if credit card purchases and paypal purchases have buyer protection program.

I think that in this case the biggest risk factor is the website, because when they are little known companies there is no one to guarantee the transactions, the truth is that the purchase with cryptocurrencies still has a long way to go, because there are risks of losing the money, in the case of an Exchange, security levels are much higher.

Why need to create fud just because you are a stupid and fool buyer?you made a purchase in something that you don’t understand a lot?and being not illiterate I believe that people must learn about how internet is performing, and this is the major factor why scammers successfully victimizing people because of behavior that you have

First you said that you are NEW in cryptocurrency so how come that you trusted that soon the sites that you made a purchase?isnt fair or both tha at least you made a research and some proof of purchasing from others before doing so!?this is your mistake mate and will serve as lesson, and again never trust everyone that soon.

I think you are careless.  if you understand crypto risk, you must be careful when making transactions.  if you use a web scam, I think your BTC transaction cannot be recovered anymore.  you should trade to replace your BTC.

Obviously yes, bitcoin has already many users and investors. We would not be here and wasting time if the bitcoin is not legitimate digital money. Try to read news and articles about it, you can read a thousand of it on the web. Buy as many as you want, it's safe and tries to learn what's the origin of the bitcoin so it might be your assurance on buying bitcoin.

I am really sorry to say this but your funds are lost, you can give it a quick google and find multiple complaints about that domain.

BTC transactions are non reversible, so when using BTC to pay for anything, it is recommended to either use a trusted escrow service, or buy from a trusted source.

It's safe to make a purchase with BTC on marketplaces that accept Bitcoin as means of payment for goods. Sorry about your transaction though that is why you need to make sure you are making an online purchase from credible websites like Amazon, Ebay etc.
