I think religion is not necessary for people but the good way of life that they teach makes a man act more human because they know what is right and wrong and the fact that you believe in God you fear to do bad things.
In todays time, no, religion was used in the history to explain the unexplainable and to control people here and there, but today it is mostly used and serves the meaning of preserving a culture.
I don't think so, as far as i know no religion can save human from perishing because Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which by we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
Religion does help some people and guide them in their life on how they live. Its necessary for the people who are superstitious
Apart from the fact that religions remind us of the existence of a Supreme being, it also curbs the bad behaviors of many individuals. That's to say, someone who would hurt people gets into religion and is totally transformed by belief.
Religion will remain an important part of life for a huge part of humanity for a long time. It helps to find strength in their weakest moments.
It is necessary. When it comes to that there is no exit from some situations only one thing can save us. It is God. Imagine like there is a small bug going from on corner of the room to another corner. You take it and for thr bug it is impossible. You are a miracle to bug. Miracle for humans is God. It is sometimes the only that is left to speak to.

This can also be a bad thing. People will justify things and think it's gods will. Religion is good in such instances but very bad in others.
It is not necessary, but it is in human nature. It is in human's nature to serve and worship gods, but we don't know who to consider to be our own god. Before, people used to worship rocks, stone, trees, sun and every thing that supports life, they worship those things because they don't know who god really is. But nowadays, people have learned many philosophy and declared many different gods and goddesses that' why many religion are made by humans.
I would say it was in the human nature. Nowadays it is less and less in human nature to serve and worship gods. Many christians, and even muslims are now "believers" only because of tradition.
people have always been believing in a higher deity, and that's pretty normal. Back in the days, many scientific facts could not be explained or understood by most people, how would you explain a huge ball of fire arising in the sky on a daily basis, or water falling on the entire land/country for sometimes half an hour, and other times for weeks. How would you explain this lighting ball on the sky at nights, or this strange looking array of colors (rainbow) after a short rain period? These kind of things can be understood now, because they we've proven them and made many steps to scientifically get to that point. But back in the days, people needed a excuse to explain these kind of things, and the best excuse/explanation was a higher deity. If it wasn't Jesus, it would be something else, that would explain these strange effects (it's quite normal actually, as humans are "programmaned" to be curious and find solutions about things that evolve around us). Now that we know all these information, do we still need to use Gods as an excuse?

And one thing I have noticed about religion is that the religious people tend to hold a lot of hatred towards the non-religious, which is even evident from your post. Here you are referring to the non-religious as animals.

Besides it helps us to make our path straight. Although they say that religion is the mere reason behind war because of the different beliefs and ideals, I think it is up to people on what they want to see and think. It is just a matter of accepting and respecting ones opinion. I can say that religion helps me to be who I am. Sometimes if you want to do these things and it is kindof really bad, you will think of the things that religion had taught you.

I personally believe that there is a God who created life itself and everything around it. I also grew up having a religion. However, it saddens and makes me wonder how having different religions causes war and lots of killings! How is that even possible when all religions pertain to one God and all his goodness in nature? I think we should simply set aside our differences and respect each others' beliefs. God did not create us to disagree nor kill one another. I really think respect should be given a lot of emphasis when taught at home and school.
Very interesting point of view. From here it looks like we need religion, not religious leader. Each man is build to do somthing in this world, no mather if it is good or bad. The thing with religion is that you can finde in it refuge, like a small home that you take it around the world with you. I you knew that the bible is the most important sociological book? it is the first of it kind and it is very complex, i mean put 100 pearsons to read it and each of them will see somthing else or at the moust somthing similar but not the same. Everithing what happens in religion, in our days, it is a question of choise. Yes, we condamn the muslam suicydal men but there are some who do this for money to supoport theyr family. I know it is a sick world but God is asking you to belive when you have no reason to do so...it's only a question of choices...there are good and bad everywhere.
if we think we need to explore inside of the world and out side of the world we have realize that it is not possible without Religion every sing religion has clue of discovering new thing for developing the world ...
