I think stealing bitcoin is illegal. It is illegal because even if you are anonymous, there's no law that says you can steal bitcoin from other bitcoin users. Those who do steal bitcoin are brave to steal other's bitcoin. Stealing money is illegal so I think stealing bitcoin is illegal too since since it is also a currency it is just digital.
Off course stealing things are alwasys illegal but you have to know what to steal and what you want to steal with becayse when you steal bitcoins you are untraceable for sure!
You are traceable as the network is their but if you know how to hide your real IP that would link you to the crime then you are safe and free to launder the amount your steal. That is my suggestion but don't do that if I were you if you do not want to face the consequences. 
You can steael whatever you want becuase i know for sure tha the bitcoin is there and you cant trace him so i thiknk that the people who steal bitcoins\

All ways of stealing is illegal, bitcoin can steal if you will broadcast you pin to your friends who are also users of bitcoin. But if you are the only one who know about your account i think your money in your wallet is safe.

Bitcoin is money but not a legal money so that is not illegal, I hope you know guys what are the difference of not right and illegal. Maybe it is not right to steal but you cannot say that it is illegal because bitcoin is an independent currency and the government does not recognize it.

The fact that bitcoin is anonymous you cannot trace the real identity of the person who are stealing bitcoins and that is the big problem for the authorities to investigate the case.

Obviously stealing words from ones mouth is also a crime and stealing anything is a crime. Bitcoin is a digital money and it doesn't mean that you could make others your own. But you had mentioned that if you get bitcoin from randomly generated address then it's not is not your fault. You could enjoy with your money.

I was asking if somebody generated a BTC address, checked the BTC network, saw it already had BTC in it, then took it, if that is illegal. I am pretty certain it isn't. If you say it is and a BTC developer heard you I'm sure he'd give you a great big slap.
But there is no way that a persons can generate same address or an address get generated twice within this small number of bitcoin users. The probability of that happen is very very and very low, I have not heard that happen and I think it may take hundreds of years to happen even bitcoin gets exponentially new users. It is illegal to steal. It can be anything. It can a currency or anything. One works hard and earns the bitcoins, but the other takes away from him/her by any source available, either physically or online. Really unbearable dude. This is not a good act. No one would listen to something like that really, everyone likes something that is for free without any work which is the case in stealing as well, so if someone gets a chance to steal something or even bitcoins they wont leave the chance at all without thinking about anything.
