I think you shouldn't invest in Ethereum. As Ether is not a currency in the traditional sense, it cannot be used to buy goods and services. Hence, its value is tied to the success of Ethereum. Moreover, there is the possibility that the Ethereum network could be replaced by a superior blockchain technology with similar features. This would inevitably result in a crash in the value of Ether with an unlikely price recovery.
You should be careful if you want to invest in Ethereum. There are several risks involved when buying ether as a speculative cryptocurrency investment. Firstly, the Ethereum network is prone to cyber attacks, as witnessed in the DOA theft last June, which resulted in a crash in ether’s price from USD 21.50 to USD 15 within hours of the news surfacing. Secondly, the supply of ether is not fixed and its future supply restraints are still uncertain. The price of any asset is driven by supply and demand. Hence, uncertainty of an assets supply creates substantial risk for investors.
If you want to invest in Ether, it should be with the belief that the Ethereum project will succeed and will play a major role in technology and industry in the future. The more the Ethereum blockchain will be used to create smart contracts and decentralized apps (or dapps), the more the price of ether should increase. Some exciting dapps are being built on the Ethereum blockchain, such as AKASHA, a promising next generation social media network.
I highly appreciate of Ethereum. Ether has become the second largest cryptocurrency within a rather short period of time, which is a testament to the Ethereum network’s viability as one of the most important blockchains (and technologies) of the future. Since ether can now be bought purely on a speculative basis via cryptocurrency exchanges, new investors will likely to enter the ether market pushing up the price as Ethereum becomes more mainstream and receives more media attention.
Of course it is okay to invest Eth. Ethereum is stable altcoins. The market price for the Eth right now, is a perfect time to buy. Just do some cost averaging and there is a lot upcoming ICO that will use Eth platform.
It could drop in price but as long as bitcoin goes up ethereum will follow so I think is good to invest but you should wait for price to drop a little before going in.
The best time to enter into a market is when the price is low. Eth has currently dropped and that becomes a good moment to get some before it rises again

I think for now you can invest in ETH because the price is too low and when you buy it now you will surely get more profits in the better days ahead
I have started to keep ethereum on my wallet it will go up again this year so better hold now and profit later.. Ethereum is one good alt to hold.. This is my 2nd option to invest aside from bitcoin.. Its profitable too.

Crypto would survive without Bitcoin but well missing Ethereum would be a bigger setback. I do not see the blockchain space without Ethereum any time soon.
