What could be the state of Bitcoin in the future?

This is discussed all the time but I am asking this question because my elder brother said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not exist anymore and will be completely dead. He also said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not be mined so that Bitcoin will not be able to hold its own position.

So I would like to know from you how reasonable this statement is?
2025 bitcoin will not axist? the future of bitcoin is certainly very certain and will not be disturbed by the government...

but the nature of bitcoin is that the price is very volatile, in the future you will definitely see bitcoin go down to 50% of its ATH and up 100% of its ATL. every day the price of bitcoin is uncertain and that's the interesting part of bitcoin.

If your brother is a genius he should make the most of the certainties he has been gifted in his knowledge.    The rest of know its very unlikely BTC is effected in that way, its really just a question of price vs paper currencies which continue to submerge ever deeper into their endless pool of liquidity.   If he prefer politics he should go with paper, if wants technology and global trade its easily possible BTC is more favorable over time.
It is far more risky to take the path of BTC you are not supported externally hence our harsh pullbacks, most big money moves close to politics and the source of new currency.  This is part of what compromises the system and fails capitalism.

I also heard that statement last 2017 and in 2018 that Bitcoin will not exist anymore and will be completely dead. 4 years after it was said, Bitcoin is still here and it's price is going higher and higher. Many declared Bitcoin dead a few years ago but it is still here. What does that imply? As long as there are supporters and investors of Bitcoin, it will still be here.

There might be a chance that your brother is a newbie and mostly heard negative comments online with regards to Bitcoin and it's completely understandable for me knowing that he is a newbie. Give him some documentaries and some youtube videos that will make him decide how he will sees Bitcoin until 2025. We know that we don't know the future of Bitcoin but to said that it will be dead on 2025 is out of the question though he might be right but the chances of it to happen are close to zero.
We listen to comments like that all the time which is precisely why we ignore them, bitcoin is simply too strong for something like that to happen, after all if despite the best efforts of banks and governments bitcoin is still here then it is unlikely they will develop a way to kill it after they have failed for so long.

So despite all the evidence of the contrary there will always be people that manifest their opinion that bitcoin will die, but unless they can give a clear explanation about why that is the case then we should just ignore them.

Although it is a new asset and unpopular with governments, saying it will die is unlikely. With 13 years of development, acceptance and widespread use, I cannot imagine the prospect of bitcoin dying even if the government denies its existence.
Many predict 2025 will be the time when bitcoin hits new ATH, you and your brother should learn about bitcoin now so as not to miss the opportunity to buy bitcoin at a highly discounted price. Your chances will still be in 2025 but it will be much smaller than it is now.

What your brother needs to do is put his money where his mouth is and bet short against bitcoin. If he is right he can make a lot of money. But something tells me he's not going to do it. There are a lot of loudmouths who take advantage of bear markets like this one to talk about the death of bitcoin, and we already know that bitcoin has died many times already:

Bitcoin Obituaries - "Bitcoin is Dead" Declared 400+ Times

When Bitcoin is in this state of falling and The rising many people who invest into Bitcoin give different analysis of it. From my perspective it is very clear and obvious that the Bitcoin does not die to the zero. It is only some people are awesome of castigating Bitcoin as a dead cryptocurrency because they do believe in cryptocurrency. So from my own opinion not every statement we can follow in cryptocurrency.
Nothing to worry of Bitcoin. Maybe we'll see more bearish movements, but that doesn't define bitcoin's future to be uncertain. Same as now the market will be uncertain, but the future will be more progressive. Maybe some better technology can reach the market, but bitcoin as the leader of cryptocurrencies will have its dominance and contribution.
This is one of the many examples that why most of the people who are using Bitcoin or who are here are just the money or investment, greed.
They don't know how Bitcoin works and the future of Bitcoin. That's why they can say these kinds of statements and I believe that those are their own opinion, so we cannot blame them.

Thing is, why would you one-sidedly believe your brother in this case. Or any of us for that matter. Make a judgment of your own especially when asking here, don't take it at face value and decide based on what you see. Most of the answers here would probably swerve towards your brother being wrong since it is, well, a Bitcoin talk forum. Not to mention matters of the future, are well, for the future us to take care of. Not something we can really touch or know about.

And just saying, a LOT of people have said that Bitcoin will die in XXXX years, and I reckon they're more on the know-hows of things than your brother and yet Bitcoin didn't die. I think that speaks volumes for itself.

But for you OP, you don't need to argue with your brother. He can really tell himself that he was wrong and accept his losses by 2025.
Actually, I don't find a reason for being such straight in saying it ends in a particular year, not even experts can see about it.

This is basically just a situation where people dont know what they are talking about. I mean it is the "future" so there is no idea if we will see something like a great price or a terrible one. Maybe in a year it will be 200k, or maybe 2k. This is why we shouldnt be shocked to see people being wrong about the future. Just hold and buy more and wait for the "eventual" increase. Could be in a month, could be a year, could be few years, who knows, just wait for it.
Uncertain, that really means about talking the future as we never know what gonna happen.  In fact, it was 3 years from now, and certainly, nobody could tell, it was just pure speculation which has a higher chance of getting wrong.

Bitcoin's future will always be uncertain but it does not mean that it won't no longer have a brighter future. Its even predicted that in the year 2025 and beyond, bitcoin will have a bigger value compared today, because of the expectation that there will be more additional countries who will start to adopt bitcoin just like El Salvador. So if these will be possible in the future, there's no valid reason that bitcoin will not be mined and will be completely dead.

What could be the state of Bitcoin in the future?

one thing is certain: the future will be good for bitcoin because more people will be accepting bitcoin, more governments will legalize bitcoin and with that we will be able to make purchases using bitcoin. I believe that at that time I will be able to buy anything in my country using bitcoin

This is discussed all the time but I am asking this question because my elder brother said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not exist anymore and will be completely dead.

your brother maybe is out of the world of news, it's not possible that he talks so much nonsense

So I would like to know from you how reasonable this statement is?

your brother is wrong, look at the news and do your own research, bitcoin is accepted in almost every country in the world, do you think after reaching a high level of adoption how will this bitcoin disappear in 2025?

First you should present the white paper to your brother so he understands what Bitcoin represents maybe from there he will understand that bitcoin is a currency and that the last Bitcoin to be every mined will be by 2140 by then this generation should have turned dust and sand. By 2024 the next Bitcoin halving which will drop the block reward to 3.125BTC will take place.
What if his brother is Satoshi Nakamoto? Omg. Because only the founder knows if what will be the future of his creations, whether it will continue for a long time or not but of course he will try to keep it in secret as this can make the public panic. Maybe this was also the reason on why he prefer to stay anonymous to avoid repetitive questions like this. Anyway I see that it will take a very long time for all the bitcoins to be mined. It won't be worth it if we will worry about it since we won't be alive by that time comes. For now all we can do is to enjoy the benefits of using a bitcoin.

I don't know where your brother got his own thoughts from but he needs to be schooled on how bitcoin works
His brother thinks he knows anything in bitcoin. Do you really think he will re educate himself? No I don't think so.

If that is what your brother said then best to listen to His reason first and let us know why he says so , because from that we will find what answers are you asking ehre.

2025 is another Halving season in which surely bitcoin will make another climb and surely ? your brother will be one to cry because of His stupid belief .

or better never talk to your brother anymore because he is not an asset of bitcoin community instead he is LIABILITY .

It was similar to thinking what if all Bitcoin will be mined, are we gonna stop?
Perhaps we can draw some assumptions but guess what OP, there is still a brighter future awaiting us in crypto as I believe that Bitcoin and its usable features remain.

Though we can't tell how much it is valued 10 years or 20 years from now, I'm gonna think that it was still a profitable investment here in crypto market.

Just let your elder brother to say things that he do want but i do have some hunches that he's just telling you these things just for you not to make out some investment with bitcoin and he would really be the only one
who do love to profit.Sounds selfish right? but thats how i do look but if he do really meant about those words then it would really be not an assured thing considering 3 years from now is just really near and considering on how this market flourish out and progress then it is really impossible to happen.Although i do believe into that saying that there's no assurance about things to last up forever but we could
see into its potential and tell if its really have the good future ahead although there are times where bear markets could give out some doubts.

How to kill bitcoins?? please ask that to your brother.
in 2025 maybe we can see a new ATH again there. It's true that bitcoin's future is uncertain but that doesn't mean it's dead. look at how many times bitcoin has gone through difficult phases but was able to come out on its own.
If governments around the world do not have an answer to that question despite looking for it for a long time then it is unlikely a random person is going to hold the answer, bitcoin has been declared dead or on the verge of dying several times and it is still here, and while it is true the naysayers only have to be correct once for bitcoin to be dead, I doubt they will ever be as a decentralized currency with a hard cap will always have some demand and as such it will always hold some value as well.
