Russia has as much ties to the red plague, as Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus and later Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, etc. As a matter of fact, Russia had less statehood and less say in the running of its own affairs under the Soviet yoke, than the other republics. The russians are doing the same. They had a "drill" with 30 000 troops 20 km from the border of Ukraine. Probably half of the army went lost at that moment. Glonass sucks after all.
