So you want to talk about the casuals as if they do not anything about boxing. But I ask you, was the fight organized only for the boxing experts and hardcore fans? Of course not or else it will not make any money. That is why they hyped it in the first place. It is more of a business and less of a sport these days. Gone are the days of the true great fighters like Hagler, Hearn, Leonard and Duran. Those fighters never disappointed amid the hype. Watching Anderson Silva in the octagon doing nothing is more entertaining than the Pacquaio versus Mayweather fight.

Accept it. It was one of the most boring fights in the history of boxing.

Haha although it's funny but you are true. I would rather watch anderson doing nothing but still entertain myself than watching that boring fight + mayweather won like what? haha are they serious?

But still the interest shows up when mcgregor wanted to fight a whore in boxing then after that if ever that mayweather would still won i would accept but he have to also get an MMA licensed and fight mcgregor inside the octagon haha.

Mayweather versus Pacquiao was a disgrace and a big disappointment. All the teasing and all the hype came to what? Nothing but 2 fighters not really trying to win the fight. They did not deserve the money given to them. That fight was one of the reasons why fans have lost their faith on boxing as a sport. It is all about the money over there and the spirit of the sport is gone.

Boxing's loss is MMA's gain.

Well it was ok if you like the details in boxing, of course it was a boring fight for all the casuals that bought on the hype. It was all over the place, so a ton of casuals expected something that the fight was never going to offer anyway. Both fighters are past their prime, and Mayweather is too good at defense so Manny wouldn't be able to blast a ton of punches.

Overall Mayweather won, Manny missed too much. He got a couple great punches, but other than that it was never a real menace.

There is no way this fight was going to live up to the hype. People complaining saying, Well back in the 80’s, Sugar Ray Leonard and guys like that produced classics. But this is a different era. And as you have mentioned, they are already past their prime.

They are both great fighters no questions about it.. Both guys deserve praise and I respect what they bring to the table. Mayweather proved to be the better fighter, simple as that.

Casuals sure are always going to be crying about how all those hyped fights are not like the 80's anymore when Mike Tyson was knocking guys out in seconds.

There are not many brawlers anymore in boxing, boxing is much more tactical. There are still agressive and brutal fighters, but certainly not in the heavyweight division.

I think Mayweather vs McGregor could be the highest selling fight of all times (surpassing Manny vs Mayweather) in any case.

There will always be since this two are very popular, but if you would ask me to watch the game, I would not do it as it's just a waste of time. Like what happen to pacquiao vs mayweather fight, the hype will be on but the actual game is really boring. Any game that involves mayweather is not fun for me. Sorry, just my opinion. For the sake of betting, I will go with Money Mayweather cause he never lost any game.

Yeah I think it will be a very good fight, though knowing Mayweather, i think it will not happen, Mayweather, I think is still enjoying his win in their fight versus Manny Pacquiao which is really many fans are being dissapointed for being the most anticipated, but boring fight. I think Mayweather is a good boxer, but the point is he is aiming for the win, but some boxers really want to win, at the same time to make the viewers feel being worthy viewing it live. So if this bout happen? i think i will bet for Mayweather, as you say, he never lost a fight.

People cant brought back 80s anyways. Tho this is still to early to say that this couldnt bring the hype maywesther is obviously the most controversial  boxer right now so people would really take their eyes to him and that is already a sign of a crowd hype

Mayweather won by split decision convincingly... it may seem like it was very even to non boxing fans, but if you know the sport, you know Mayweather took the least damage and made the most points, was more accurate... basically everything was in his favor. Pacciao caught him very few times with some good shots, other than that it was jab domination by Mayweather.

Nope, well he may won but still not convincingly no matter how many times you are going to count the damages that they have made. Although may weather really does look like it does not hit him. "everything was in favor" -probably everything not just them on the ring Wink

You are counting it out too fast. Everyone was saying how Floyd would NEVER fight Pacquiao and then he proved everyone wrong, fought him and won.

Im sure Floyd still wants to break Rocky Marcianos record to get the nice and round 50-0 record and then get a ton of money in the process. Don't get fooled by Floyd's antics. He may be rich, yes, but he likes to burn a lot of money, if he wants to keep that lifestyle, any money helps and a big fight like that will make him come back.

Now that is really funny, of course he fought pacman but before that hd makes sure that all are in favor of him. Place, bets or even judges. There is no such thing as unanimous or split decision there he would surely won if pacman cant finish him out. The rules when mayweather fought is that you finish him off or you lose

Lol don't be ridiculous. Mayweather made Pacman look like an amateur. Nobody that knows about boxing would saying Pacman won, he lost, that's all.
Mayweather won all fights convincingly, the only fight that I think he lost was the Jose Luis Castillo vs Floyd Mayweater 1, and in the rematch Floyd won convincingly, but in the 1st fight I think he lost, very close fight, but he lost. Other than that, you can't say the judges have made his career... that's ridiculous.

Lol now if you said that he won on a split decision i would rather accept it but convincingly? Now that is hilarious. Where is the convincing part in there? Very far statistics floyd won all the stats? Seriously?

I disagree with you again. Conor is not in a real hurry. This boxing match will be nothing but a side show to both him and Floyd. this is like an altcoin. This is for entertainment purposes only and to scam the fans of both MMA and boxing to give them millions worth of PPV and gate ticket sales. You think they are trying to play each other on social media and youtube? They are playing us, the fans. They will keep this going on until a time they think it is the right time to go for the kill. Both of them are hustlers, do not forget.

Sure , they want to make money, but we want to watch the fight, I know I want as a boxing fan, and a lot of MMA fans want to see it too. It's interesting to see the 2 biggest guys of both sports fight.

Sure, it may seem like an entertainment only show but make no mistake, when its all said and once, both men want to win and they will fight for real, it's not a show when you get hit.

Of course they want to to win but not for the same reasons when they are fighting professionally. Let me tell you again that this is all a show and a hustle from both Conor and Floyd. They know that we want to see that fight. So they will keep making scenario after scenario of it happenning making us want the fight to happen more. They both are doing a good job of doing the marketing themselves by posting on Twitter and Youtube.

This is all fanfare and nothing more. The fight won't happen. Both of them are taking advantage of all the attention they are getting. And Mayweather loves it more so than Connor because he wants to stay in the limelight and stay relevant eventhough he is "retired".

Pacquiao's case is different. It was the "boxing" fans who are asking him to fight Pac-man. He has no where to go but fight Pacman. But it took him 5 years to fight him, But I have mad respect for May fighting Manny.

Yes, I agree, he wants to break Marciano's record, but I don't think fighting Connor will add up any legacy to this already storied boxing career.

It will make his record look more marketable. "50-0" sounds perfect, better than "49-0", and looks better in t-shirts too. He thinks like a businessman, he sells TMT gear, im sure he knows all of that. And he loves money, so he is going to take the risk sooner or later. He likes to spend too much money too. He will be back if he can get an 9 figure payday for sure.

If I was a betting man Id bet the fight will happen. All this prehype is not for no reason and these are in deed business men after all we are talking about. Business men dont waste their time showboating. Fight will happen some time 2017.
The hype is simply because Mayweather wants to be relevant in the scheme of things and Connor taking a long break from MMA wants his voice heard over the media and so is the reason you are hearing this hype ,for the match to become a reality it will take a really long time and it wont happen this year for sure.

this is might be will more near to do so and McGregor has already get boxing license but this is will be more heated because i heard that Mayweather only will fight for $100 millions but he was highly doubt whether McGregor able to get those money because he said too that this is only about money
If you look at Mayweather's career he only box in Las Vegas and Connor Mcgregor has not taken a boxing license in Vegas and i really do not think that they would accept the proposal for a rookie to fight an undefeated boxer . Cheesy

The fight would be a major success no matter if it happens in Vegas, California or Abu Dhabi. It will be a hit and may sell more than the Paquiao vs Mayweather one. Even if it turns out being a disappointment for casuals because Mayweather does his usual routine of hitting and not getting hit with his defensive style, people that really like boxing will enjoy it and MMA people will buy the hype.

And McGregor is young and explosive so don't count a lucky KO out, it can happen, it would be devastating for Mayweather, that is why the fight will sell a lot. I will certainly watch it and take a bet.

I am a boxing fan and Pacman was fighting with an injury and the match was really close in my opinion,Mayweather has not won all the matches convincingly, take a look at the fights between Canelo Álvarez and Oscar De La Hoya ,Mayweather somehow managed to take the victory ,may be money power who knows.
I am not fan of both boxer champions but I watch there game and for me pacman wins in their last battle but the juries picked mayweather. And I cant do about that thing. We can just wait until the rematch started.
