Every trader or investor wishes to end up making profit after any transaction. The same principle applies to Bitcoin. It is another lucrative means to earn money. But there is more to Bitcoin than just investing into it. Holders and bullish like me, believe strongly that Bitcoin is the future. The era where most trading will be done with Bitcoin, both online and offline is yet to come. I suggest you read more into Bitcoin and you'll get to appreciate that there is more to Bitcoin than just investment.
I see reasons with the OP, but generally in the world, this is unavoidable. No one is supporting a project without expecting to get something from it and at the end the early adopters are always the ones with the chunk of it because they believed earlier while some just had to join at some point. The thing is everyone is here for the money, and that is the reason why we do business anyway, but that still does not change the fact that blockchain technology is the future.
I really think that the early adopters were not looking for profits, they were interested in bitcoin as a project that could change the world and just out of luck they were able to benefit economically out of bitcoin but most people that came after them have only one thing in mind and that is to make money through bitcoin, there is nothing wrong with that but I think that is why many people are here.
I guess is not like that, those bitcoin developers are definitely thinking of the future. If we talk about 'money' will definitely culminate with the profits to be had. And now it has been proven that they have changed the world and changed their economies. I do not see 'luck' on this project, but I see their future thinking (what will be needed in the future) far beyond me.

I think yes we gain money but not necessarily make money because bitcoin brings as a big profit. A chance to become a rich, depends our hardwork with it. More like for our future to become brighter.

I have been involved in an endless number of online businesses for many years, and the way the bitcoin market has behaved, of course, gives room to think that this is really just one more of the businesses that become fashionable, to later be displaced by the next "big thing".

While it is true that in the case of bitcoin there is a great theoretical and technological support that could make it valuable as a payment mechanism, the matter of its high speculation is out of all proportion and has turned it into a speculative bubble.
Since the time we came to know about this concept of the crypto currencies, we have seen a very much positive change in terms of the economic stability in the entire world. This is no doubt one of the best ways of making more money and that this will surely help all of us in changing our lives in a very much significant manner. We just need to trust bitcoin and other crypto currencies for our better future.

Experience the Future of DeFi

Right now I am starting to feel like this is just a way to make money. Nothing more nothing less. You buy into btc or other coins and in no way are you really supporting the project, besides maybe adding to the order books at the exchanges with some minor effect until whales decided to take over. I sometimes have some sort of dishonest feeling, like the money I make through buying (and seldom) selling is somehow dirty as it comes from people that simply do less research, bail out or simply already had their take.

I started with high feelings of morality, being part of some new future where block chain would be the next internet. Right now it feels like a rat race where you have to grab as much money as possible before others take it before you or from you.

Not that I am ungrateful. I like many projects because of the team behind it that actually want to change the world. But if I look around me, it is mostly those that are in it to make money, a lot of money....and this money has to come from somewhere right (those that lose money)...

What is your take on this? Is this all a phase, part of how this game works?

Yes, this is just another way to earn money. That's the game works here right now. Because Blockchain and Bitcoin have just started and the world still on the acceptance and adoption phase, we are in the speculation process. But then, the objectives of cryptocurrency is very clear. They want to make big changes that will help our world to become a better place.

My start with crypto/btc was that I invested a bit end of November last year. I had a few friends that told me about their small successes and how easy it was to just 'start'. It was indeed quite easy. I started to read and research into btc and every other relevant coin. Whitepapers, teams and such. Then I started to shift focus to the block chain, starting to get a grasp on what could be the future possibilities. I started to get real exited and invested some of my savings in a few projects with (to me) real potential. None of those projects appeared to be alive because of speculation only, mainly because they have a vision and actual plans.

So then I noticed that there are quite a few documentaries. I started to watch them all. A few from 2015, 2016 and 2017. I was disappointed to say the least. Everything was about bitcoin and the value/worth of bitcoin. It was about highs and lows, crashes and deceit. Only a few times the actual potential of the block chain was mentioned. Mostly it was about money.

Is this the only easy way to make money? not everything is said to be easy but it's definitely easier for you to make money because it's a job that will help you, I think it's some other way to earn money
Bitcoin is not just another way of making money, bitcoin showcases the skills of it's traders and the minds of the people behind it's forum. Maybe it gives us a lot of opportunity in gaining money but bitcoin can really make you realize that you are actually good at doing something that is not just all about money, something about strategy. And that is one of the many benefits of being with bitcoin. It is not just another way, but it is where you show your skills.

There are a lot of businesses people get into just to make money. They way they do it and how ethical they are on the way to success is yet another issue.
Generally the more people are interested in btc, the more development etc and the more adoption with time so I wouldn't necessarily see it as a bad thing.

Another thing is all the scams and ponzi schemes that continuously pop up. Not only people lose money but the reputation of crypto's is being damaged even though it's not the crypto's fault.

Yes, there are different way to earn in a form of business I love your idea. One of that is bitcoin, people imagined a big income if they heard the word bitcoin. That could be true to us but not true to others because it deoends on how are you going to handle it clearly. The beyond expectations depends on the view of the person. Basically to other people bitcoin is a source of income because they are very focus just like they tight knot.

We cannot cover those people who made bitcoin as negative to other because it was seen. The only we need to do is to cover up make stand still for good reputations of bitcoin and I do believe bitcoiner that has good conscience can build it up.

I think Yes because in my experience I need a lot of money to help my family . Joining the bitcoin help me to earn money even I'm working . Money that i get cannot survive so I join this to help a lot in everyday. It adds income for my family.

I agreed with you ! In my point of view, I also think that bitcoin is an another way to earn or make money. Although it was starting to be popular, most of the time, it help us to get some money or have a little bit income by just engaging in here. Sidelining in bitcoin gave us extra money that will be a great help to us.

Definitely, bitcoin can generate profit for individuals that are investing on it correctly. But, perhaps , the vision of this innovation is not just about earning money, because this is a systemic flow of exchanges of value that is related to the entire global industry and international economic development.

I believe that bitcoin helps people without permanent job who knows how to join in their signature campaigns to earn for their living and also to the people who have money and try to invest in their project to double their money so i agree that bitcoin is not only a crypto currency that can be use in the future but a project that can help especially when you are smart to know its way of earning from it.

I cannot fully agree with you. Yes, it may seem that everything in crypto is about making money out of nowhere. But the truth is that blockchain and various projects offer a great technology without which future is un-imaginable.
To me this seems like the correct explanation, it may seem that all what people care in the forum is about how to make money and while that is a very important reason why people are here, we cannot forget why you can make money at all, and that is because bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are without a doubt the future of money and in many cases the future about how information is going to be stored.

I think Bitcoin can be a replacemrnt for our currenct currency right now which is paper money. Cryptocurrencies can be accessed through internet and technology which we are very fond of right in our era. Cryptocurrency is something more than just of being a money maker for you. Also it is somewhat helping the economy in some ways. Bitcoin can also help in your personal life specifically the financial matters you are facing right now. Investing into Bitcoin is very good choice you don't just make money but you have an insight of what is going to be in the future.

I believe it is, with the way bitcoins went last year. That abruptly change the field and made bitcoins even more popular
and sought of. It wasn't meant for that originally maybe, but when you dwell and think about it, it was headed for that
plausible direction. In bitcoin's good days, people are really making money at least that's what people are hoping for,
the next big green day. But as of the moment it is losing money, isn't it? But still it remains a fact, Bitcoins is money
making medium.
