This is sort of like asking: Is water wet?

Of course USD is being used for illegal activities, just like every other currency in the world. They are the primary currency traded around the world, the US government takes effort to keep it's dominance and naturally USD will be the premier currency of criminals too. Is there a hidden premise to your question though? Like some sort of twisted idea that American's by association to the dollar, are more likely to engage in criminal activity? Because that seems totally unconnected.
Agree, this question would only require common sense for you able to answer it and as being said its just really like answering on whats the color of apple.? lol. Offcourse usd is being used on doing illegal activities and not only usd but all of the currencies of the world since they do have value and can be traded off. Money is nearly everything when we are talking on purchasing things either legal or illegal.

I think there is only one answer to this and it is Yes. Basically any kind of currency can and has the potential to be use in illegal activities it is simply needed in order to transact with something. And to answer your other question. No it won't hurt the value of USD as it being ised in illegal activities signifies demand for that kind of currency. I don't know why you are making this a big thing but everything that has value can be used for illegal things.

Of course it is used, but they prefer cash rather than through bank transfer. Through a bank transfer it is very easy to track, and a suitcase of cash is difficult to find.

I think it's not only for USD but almost all curencies and also online currencies, crypto currencies also included for illegal activities. Especially crypto currencies, it will be hard to track where the transaction goes if the criminals using bitcoin as the payment. They also can laundry the money to leave the track.

I think US is the most widely traded currency that has been used for illegal activities specially drugs. Even the dollar bill now are physically tainted with drugs. So now since criminals have find crypto currencies to be a safe haven for them to used for their illegal activity specially coins like Monero, I wouldn't surprise it they are already doing it right now.

I also like to point out that not only USD is being used, most of the currency are. As long as criminals will profit, whether you paid in crypto's or USD or any currency for that matter, it would continue to be accepted.
I think some people are still doing that. But, I'm sure it's done with caution. the evidence is so much in the news, and in the media. There are still many people who do illegal transactions using usd

Of course USD is being used for illegal activities especially in 1960s since there are denomination of $10,000 in a single bill. Now days many corruptors and other criminals would hide their money is a stash of $100 USD.

I see more and more articles of the USD being used for illegal activities, such as funding of terrorists and unconstitutional, illegal wars, funding of wars that cause severe infringement of civil liberties like the war on drugs, among other things. I am pretty sure that when goons smash into convenience stores and steal stuff, then the money they probably steal is USD, which makes it criminal currency. Also, I am pretty sure that the baseball bats that majority of the goons have bought were paid for by the USD.

Also, most people collect rain water, drink raw milk, and throw cannabis seeds in soil, all three acts which are considered serious illegal felonies punishable by seriously expensive fines and extensive jail time, possibly life in prison.

Some people also walk, drive, fish, or hunt without a permit that can easily be bought for in USD.

Will this hurt USD in the long run? Will governments ban this just like they started to do with paying in cash for some services to harden the use of illegal activities, and money laundering?
Doing any illegal activities are very much possible for every country. Which means every currency can be use for illegal activity or purposes, and if that happen it will be a big problem to each nation to resolve this circumstances, so other nations they ban it those who make illegal things.

Agreed, USD is just a currency that is mostly known by people so it's most probably used or request by bad people for their services such as killing, kidnapping, etc. USD or any other currency has no fault in those things and simply is used due to value in human lives. Money is considered as one of the needs of human to live.
Humans are at fault here on using dollars in a bad way.

What's even wrong. Are you patriot of US or what. Of course usd will be used for illegal activities as there isn't any currency in this world which isn't being used for illegal purpose. Now the introduction of these crypto currencies it will surely be used for illegal purpose in the future. And can't you see the president of us is itself doing illegal activity by building a useless wall...

As I said before fiat currencie is being used for several years to do any kind of deals, no matter if legal/illegal and there is no way to stop it since countries keep trying nowadays without success. People behind illegal activities did follow the innovation, and the most of them run legal business, or has a good strategy to avoid be arrested.

The accusations against bitcoin it is a planned attack on the crypto currency. Public opinion gradually prepared for the fact that bitcoin is evil and must be fought with him. Only wide spread crypto currency and knowledge of them can stop this process.

BTC and USD are both fairly anonymous currencies (neither is perfectly anonymous). The government creates black markets, and black markets require anonymity. Anything that grants that is likely going to be used on those black markets.

This is the point all of the others should see. They always blame bitcoin for crime, terrorism, money laundering and other unlawful actions. They miss lots of things, with usd, anybody commit crime similar to bitcoin.
Haha, this is the reason make me can't understand the thought about Bitcoin of many people hate Bitcoin.
Why they don't said currency for crime, terrorism, money laundering like Bitcoin? Just by hate Bitcoin make them say that lol.
Exactly, nothing is more anonymous than cash. Most of the illegal activities are funded through cash. Bitcoin which is still known to some million people is not that useful in illegal activities as cash. Terrorists are mostly funded by governments and banks and all of that is done through cash. Not a currency (bitcoin) which can be traced.

And the largest crimes are committed by the largest "democratic" governments. Fighting talibs for destroying opium plantations is so democratic a gesture. Cultivating opium in India and making Chinese addictive to it, in order to wash silver out of China in 19th century with opium wars is so a paradigmatic act of humanity and good manners. Sterilizing "3rd world" population in order to "prevent the spread of HIV" is so philanthropic...

goverment must ban any illegal activity, he must freeze the bank account of terorism
Am I the only one who feels that governments spy on their citizens and fear us more than the meanest terrorists and are not ashamed to use illegal methods to control and still our savings made in national currencies? Would they leave the BTC uncontrolled and threaten their dictatorship that they impose on us behind the circus with "democratic elections"? Since when the most spoiled characters stopped starving for power and hold the key government positions, and since when this world started to be ruled by angels (who would let into existence a currency they do not control)?
