today I experienced an unexpected transaction from one of my wallets, all my assets were sold automatically, this is the first time I've experienced this, I didn't protect this wallet with a PIN and 2fa
can it be delayed after I use 2fa and PIN for all transactions?
It is always advisable to add additional security features to any wallet to ensure that it is more secured, considering high sophistication of hackers, some wallets are 2fa enabled especially any one that is linked to your mobile phone network such that before any translation is carried out a 2fa must be triggered in such a way that any anonymous transaction or if the wallet is being compromised it can easily be detected, however I don't think a PIN is needed here, it just to protect your wallet from being accessed by close friends, relatives e.t.c.

I have been using 2fa since the day my funds were stolen. If it weren't for this app, I would never be using exchange and other sites that requires pw with your valuable in it. So far after using this security measures, I have never been experiencing issues of of funds being lost, so I consider it to br safe.

When you are using any exchange it is necessary you use 2fa and PIN to be on the secure side, you would hear many hacks and yet i am wondering why anyone would not understand the seriousness of securing their funds. The fact is there is no point in holding thousands of dollars worth of fund if you are not intelligent enough to secure them Tongue.
I guess every exchange is required to safely use the code from 2FA and this PIN is a required protection in the exchange but why doesn't he do it?
Although there's no guarantee that it's accurate but I think with 2FA and PIN combined it's safe not to run into issues like this or he might have been neglectful to interrupt something like that.
I hope he can use this method.

Is it even possible to create a wallet without any protection at all? I mean every software that you can use to create a wallet be it on ethereum, BSC or whatever other chain asks you to set a password yourself or gives you a seed phrase or a private key that you need to write down. Without the seed phrase or key no one can import your wallet to any other software. If you haved used an app or a browser wallet or exchange then you should also have a password for that app or website which you need in order to access your wallet or account that you have there. Of course the more security steps you have the better so if you have amounts >10$ somewhere, i would take the time to enable 2FA.

2FA is not used to secure your wallet.

Hackers can use different methods to hack your wallet or account by managing 2FA code from you.

2FA is used to make sure that whatever happens is due to your intervention. That is, it is used to authenticate you.

If you are not smart then 2FA will not make you smart, it is not a very rare case that many people have been deceived by sharing 2FA with unknown person for their greed.

That's why we people use 2FA and PIN at least we know it's not easy for hackers to break all this easily so these extra security measures keep one's wallet safe from hackers. No, now it's not possible whether you activate 2FA or PIN but I must say be more careful now use 2FA and PIN in every wallet and avoid clicking on random links.

Nothing is secured in online, i'm using crypto.com where implemented biometric verification that's means it’s highly secured exchange but in 2022 (January) this exchange got hacked and lost over 30 million dollars. But i'm inspiring to use 2fa or others security to safe your wallet. But what's wallet you're using right now? I'm using Trust Wallet for long time but i didn’t use 2fa and i didn’t face such issues.

I do not want to upset you my friend, you have already lost your funds. And you won't get those money back. It was necessary to first register on the wallet to use all the means of protection that will protect you from scammers in the future. As the saying goes, we learn from mistakes. And next time you will know how to use protection in time to secure your funds.

You should protect your wallet with the 2fa authenticator, it's a risk if you're not set up your 2FA because something like this can happen especially when you're entering a phishing site without realizing it. When someone enters your wallet usually the user will receive a notification in their email and you can change your password because 2FA is hard to break through. Always keep your wallet safe

No, it's not possible to delay the transaction even if there is or there is no 2FA the function of the 2FA is to protect anyone from logging in not to prevent them from doing transactions it's better to use pin and 2FA to avoid intrusion, but on Electrum you are required to input your password when you ar doing transactions, you did not post the kind of wallet you're using but if there's an option to put pin or 2FA you should do so.

Dude, you should've learned more before making a wallet because that will be like your vault. But you did it like leaving the vault just closed but was not even locked with a security key.
That's 2FA when it comes to wallet. Your security key or better because no one could access it except you who own the email and the phone. Even if they hacked your e-mail they will need to input the restore key which you only have.
A good learning point. You know what to do next.

Once the transaction is done, there is no chance to delay or cancel the transaction by applying 2FA or PIN. You should have set 2FA for your wallet in advance. It gave your wallet an extra protection. I don't think it's safe to use this wallet anymore. Better open a new wallet and set 2FA prior to use it.

We can't say it was 100% safe as there is no such thing as an online wallet. However, this gives us at least the highest level of protection. But before using this stuff, be sure you have the backup codes as in case of the loss of your phone or damage to your computer, there still a way to restore and access your wallet.

All of my wallet and accounts from exchanges had captured the 2FA security which was recommended and I could really say, for how many years my funds are safe. I really suggest you do this but of course, don't let other people use your device as this is one reason for code leaks.

When having huge amounts of crypto assets, it's understandable that people will use all the necessary things to secure it because we all know that hackers are there and scammers are just looking for some opportunity to strike. That's why 2FA authentication is important because you are maximizing your security to protect your assets from hackers. Many investors skip this kind of thing because they thought they were just safe in their preferred exchanges while they are completely prone to such a kind of tragedy where they cannot be saved by their exchanges.

yes it is, and you know that's a bad news mate because your late and your assets is completely gone, so its impossible to recover or whatsoever.

for me having 2fa on my wallet for long time now, so far i didn't see any suspicious activity on my wallet , that's why i'm very confident that having 2FA is totally secured and no one can make transactions without a code..
So i suggest better to create new one then set up 2FA to prevent losses, stop using that wallet again!

for more details what wallet did you use at that time?
and are you sure it's the fault of the wallet you're using?
try to think again what you did before your wallet was hacked?

for example I use a mobile trustwallet, and I've never had a problem like yours even though my wallet is without 2FA. maybe you have tried swapping token dusting in your wallet? if yes, this might be the problem. next time don't care about any tokens in your wallet, unless you bought one. or do you know where the token came from.

I always activate 2FA on the exchanges that I usually use, and I think it's proven to be more secure, maybe in special cases someone will be able to enter but to open or hack 2FA is in fact very difficult, so always enable 2FA for the security of our assets.

That's why people should enable 2FA authentication for the security of a wallet or should be used in everything  important . However, in many cases hackers can also break the 2FA security system. In many cases there are many exchangers who have weak 2FA security system , in that case the users get a lot of problems with it .
I believe that getting access to a wallet via a connected platform or through private keys will neutralise every form of security on a wallet? Correct me if I am wrong and that includes 2FA Authentication itself, unless the wallet is a centralized wallet that implement 2FA for every transactions but won't be possible on the likes of trust wallet, coinomi wallet and metamask.

I think you got hacked by someone by phishing. And they did it easily because of your security lack  And that's because you didn't enable your two-factor authentication security system. There is no such thing as an automatic sale with 2fa. I think they hacked  access to your account and have been transacted or withdrawn from your wallet coins. From then on, keep an eye on these and enable the security systems well.
