Always be vigilant and alert, I've been in crypto for about 6 years, and the only time I've lost crypto was through btc-e though that was out of hands. Some people can really be lax protecting their private key, forgetting that, that is all a person needs and your funds are gone! Definitley read up on latest sec and encryption news to learn how best to protect yourself.
Exactly. When you are in crypto market, you have to put security and vigilance on top priority in every activity or asset. Yep, Security of a wallet plays a very important role. Truly, it’s completely not easy for anyone of us to protect our wallet. Especially, when we use an online wallet, we have to extremely cautious because it goes without saying that anything which is connected with internet always bring us a partial risk. Some hackers probably keep an eyes on our wallet and steal it whenever they want. I’m mostly prone to use wallet that does not need internet connection because it’s partly much safer. Most importantly, we should keep learning to have an intimate knowledge which can help us to protect ours better.

Yes of course, security of wallet is very important because it is where you put your money so everything such as transactions of payments will be get and putted in there. But I think as of now I don't heard any feedback about losing their money using bitcoin wallet as long they will not forget their password. Hope that it will stay secured as years goes by.

I once read for security wallet,
this is just for discussion how to secure the wallet. I do not think there is a security system and there will be no theft in the wallet.

If you choose your wallet or phone software, you need to be extra careful! Remember that bitcoins are stored inside your device. If your computer or phone breaks down, your bitcoin is gone too! Thieves can also take your bitcoin if it gets access. Consider the following tips to avoid losses:

Perform regular backups regularly
Save the backup on another device like in flash or another computer.
Use the encryption feature
With encryption, each transaction requires a login with a password. This prevents thieves who manage to gain access to your computer.
Do not forget the password
Losing a password equals losing your money! Wallet does not provide a password forgot feature.

Do you guys have a better idea to avoid theft in the wallet?
Your Knowledge and Ideas will be more helpful if shared.

Of course, security should be the top priority in this kind of trend. Our wallet holds the amount we have invested and profit we gained so frequent checking on our wallet is a must to do.

Of course this is a very important element. Security in this money technology where we can not get a refund after any theft is the first thing to pay attention to. We should use cryptocurrency, taking a lot of security precautions, especially if we think that nowadays there are big problems like account thefts. We only need to activate important security measures like 2FA, which is more than just a strong password.

I think the security of my wallet is very important and necessary. Because it seems all the possessions you have are in it. It can be stolen if you reveal your wallet or access an unknown link. Besides, we can completely save them on standalone hard drives, it is quite safe and convenient.

But now, indeed, the cases of hacking of e-wallets. In many cases this is facilitated by the owners themselves, the owners of the email accounts in payment system Yandex, WebMoney, etc do Not recommend to store your password on file or computer. It is desirable to remember it or store it in paper archives in an inaccessible place.A reliable way to protect it is to switch to one-time passwords.By activating this service, no one except you will be able to perform transactions on accounts.

Its important at all since you store your money there and if you neglect to put a excellent supporting defense like 2fa or any other more then you will be sorry at the time you will be hack by an unexpected intruders so by try to reach for any possible counter action so that you can sleep with ease with your money stored and also better choose those wallet which had good reputation and which been mainly used by the other crypto currency users.

Don't use your private key to import anything anyway, anywhere. You can use other methods, but do not expose the private key.

Like I use to tell most cryptocurrency investors that cryptos wallet and exchanges will not give you the security that you need but you alone have to determine the security of your wallet. There are tested majors and steps which you need to take to ensure your wallet is safe. Things like keeping your private keys safe, avoid downloading malwares that could led to attacks of hacking on your wallet.

The purse security should be in the first place, if you are going to work in the crypt.  Do not need to use a lot of wallets.  Better one is proven.

It is like just, why do you need to keep your wallet away from the thieves? It is logical. Internet is very dangerous place, if we are not wise in using cryptocurrency wallet, our money that we store will be gone. There are many hackers in this field and their primary job is to open up your wallet. That's why we need a secure and cold wallet.

If you choose your wallet or phone software, you need to be extra careful! Remember that bitcoins are stored inside your device. If your computer or phone breaks down, your bitcoin is gone too! Thieves can also take your bitcoin if it gets access. Consider the following tips to avoid losses:

Create a multiple backup and make sure to have an offline backup , a paper wallet perhaps. Print a multiple copies of your wallet and save it somewhere safe. If you have a lot of money in crypto, consider purchasing a hardware wallet. In this case, your wallet is not solely on your devices. I personally use different wallets.
Wouldn't multiple wallets be confusing as well as be a problem when it comes to transferring tokens? Not only this would take time, it'll also be a deduction for your money. But then again, having multiple back ups to be safe isn't also quite a bad idea.

Yes for me choosing a good and secured wallet as one of my main concerns cause that's where we store are private keys so we can use it to invest in an exchange, buy online product or send as payment. For me i quickly liquidate my money so that it wont be any risk for hacks or divide it to different wallets.

Precisely, don't just click links and download anything because it can really ruin your wallet until you lose all your money. Securing your wallet is very important, don't forget to make backup and do some study to prevent yourself from being hacked.
This is a problem, people do not take the security of their wallet seriously, there are people out there with millions of dollars in bitcoin using software they download illegally from the Internet and by doing so they are exposing their coins to hackers since you do not know what modifications the crackers did to the software so it could work without the needed key, so if you have a wallet installed only install stuff that you know is safe.
