It is not easy to control yourself, let alone stop gambling when you experience a losing streak, this must be done consistently, even people who are used to gambling are still carried away by emotions so they continue to gamble and chase losses, that is why it is important to control yourself from the start so that when you start gambling you are used to it. Stop the game when you experience a losing streak or it's time for you to stop gambling.
The easiest thing to set off as an alarm is to limit your gambling time and budget so that when your budget runs out and your gambling time is up you can stop gambling, that's why people who consistently control themselves know when they should gamble and when they should stop gambling. It is important to understand and know your own abilities before trying gambling.
Only by continuing to practice self-control will we be able to prevent ourselves from losing streaks. And even though we have experienced a losing streak, we will not be tempted to continue gambling because we know the consequences and that it will only result in greater losses. However, we need to be responsible with ourselves when gambling so that we don't have to lose a lot of money. And when we can control ourselves, we will not get carried away by emotions and can control ourselves so we don't gamble excessively.
Limiting time and budget is one way to control ourselves because with these two things, we can gamble moderately. There is no desire to chase big wins or recover from the defeats we have experienced. We will realize that gambling games will give us wins and losses, so if we have lost in a row, we must immediately stop the gambling game. Otherwise, we will lose even more money that we may not be able to afford.

That's correct and I won't be a hypocrite to admit that.
Whenever I am on a losing streak it makes my teeth grit to try and win it back and I do believe it ain't just me who have the same emotion when that happens.
Many would say that's the wrong thing to do but when we are in that same position we cannot stop ourselves from betting 10 more times or maybe 100 more because we want to take back what we believe is ours.
I have been gambling for a long time and I know that the end of it is bad. But when emotions are pouring it's difficult to stop and might as well lose everything than just lose a part of my wallet either half of it or just a minimum amount of the total balance. I'd rather risk everything slowly and try to win back whatever was gone through a safety method although I don't think one really exists. What I mean is just lessening the wagered amount and trying to recover it through that means. It worked out for me sometimes but I won't say it does save me every time.
I know some would double the bet to hasten the recovery but it's the other way around for me.
I also felt it when I had that losing streak, and many gamblers also feel the same way as we do. What is different is that there are people who can stop their gambling game immediately because they know that if they continue their gambling game, they could have the opportunity to experience even more losses. And it won't be worth their money as it will make them spend even more money to recover their losses. And yes, you are right in saying that when emotions run high, we will find it difficult to control ourselves because many of us have experienced this too. But we have a way to restrain ourselves, namely by training ourselves to control ourselves while gambling to stop immediately when we experience a losing streak. By practicing self-control, we can save the contents of our wallets and ourselves from increasing our emotions even higher because losing will increase our emotions until we become frustrated.
