What's going on in Napoli?  Located in the relegation line, Spezia defeated Napoli.  Juan Jesus unluckily scored an own goal.  Even though Napoli were effective offensively for the remainder of the Match, they did not win.  This is really sad for Napoli.  Talking about the championship 2-3 weeks ago, Napoli fell to the third place with consecutive defeats.  He may soon surpass them in Atalanta.  The point difference with Atalanta is only 1.

No one thinks a team like Napoli will win the title. Napoli's consistent good performance surprised everyone. However, many football experts have said that Napoli will not be able to hold on to form for long. That is what happened. They are out of form now and are playing consistently bad. They are now in the third position of the points table. They will go down further. I would say they will drop to fifth place in the table in a few days.

About Inter, I agree they have achieved in Millenium years, Inter got 5 scudetto in the row, 2005 until 2010. that great achievement. But Milan, only 2003–04, 2010–11. and Juventus is the king of decades, got 9 scudetto in the row between 2011 until 2020. I hope so with Napoli and Roma. so far Napoli is just great in the Maradona era, while Roma in Francisco Totti era in 2000. but for this session, Napoli and Roma will be difficult to beat Inter and Milan on top when they don't build the team in January.

Indeed it is hard to talk about Serie A without talking about the king which is Juventus,,, and I know I should say very little because of the whole idea that I only followed this league recently and even so just from the news, but does the scandal of matchfixing involving Juventus make their reputation of winning titles in the relevant years any worse? Just asking from a perspective of an outsider Smiley

The same thing happens to Napoli that happened almost every seasons before. This is an unstable team, for which such downturns in the middle of the season are normal. Similar recessions are also common in Atalanta. These teams are strong enough to compete for the Scudetto, but they constantly lack something, they lose points with weak teams, in matches where they should take 3 points.

Roma performance with mourinho this season has not gone well, they continue to be inconsistent in every game and that makes their current position in the standings quite difficult, I think mourinho has now lost his magic in building a strong team and it seems that the strategy that has been implemented by mourinho in roma has been too easy for their opponents to read.

no success will continue to be achieved by someone. even in coaching, of course, there will be moments for other coaches to show success with their team. Mourinho will have strong magic when changing a good team that fits his coaching style. as well as the players in the Roma team. performance that often changes, of course, there is something that has not been formed by the thoughts of coaches and players.
You can see that sometimes Mourinho gets angry on the sidelines because there are players who can't follow the strategy that is applied.

Roma got another tie, this means for the past 5 games they made 7 points, which is not really good for a team who paid so much to get Mourinho to be honest. They are sixth in the league right now and with the "downfall" of Inter they were expecting to be near the top, as it turns out Inter didn't had any downfall even though they sold many good players, and Roma didn't do so well at all. Napoli losing a game and Milan having a great game also allowed Milan to get a bit of a point difference for them as well.

I am not saying that it is a clear difference just yet, but it is a good indication that Milan will be a bit more comfortable from now on out until they lose a game.

That's how Roma plays sometimes unexpected just watch they can't do anything even though they are playing at home
On the other hand when Roma play away against a top team Roma can win really weird right? this happened to other teams in Serie A
Only Inter have been consistent so far keep on winning streak.

I don't think Roma board gives Murinho enough support to turn this team around, they got Tammy Abraham who is not a regular in Chelsea but a good player,I think in the January market Roma will be very busy to support Jose because he needs it,you can't employ a top coach like him and don't support him with transfer, they need to show ambitious and I know Murinho is evaluating his squad before summer.
Mourinho was signed by roma at the beginning of this season, and it is too early for us to say if mourinho has failed at rome, from some articles I read, the roma board still trust mourinho to manage the roma squad and even the rome fans still have great respect mourinho at this time, even Roma is still struggling in the UEFA Conference League and the Coppa Italia right now, so, the opportunity to win the mourinho trophy for roma is still wide open and as you said, if the transfer market january will be a great opportunity for mourinho to fix the roma squad .

Yes agree and also Roma was good at the start of the season but unfortunately Roma couldn't maintain that good trend and even now, Roma is under Juventus even though we all know Roma's performance at the beginning of the season was better than Juventus. But even so, Mourinho has not completely failed because after all Roma are still one of the teams that fill the top line of the standings so Mourinho will still be fine at Roma. At least Roma still has a chance to finish in the top five or maybe the top four, if in the upcoming transfer market Mourinho gets the exact players that can make Roma rise with high consistency, who knows.

I watched just a few those matches, including that of Roma draw against Sampdoria and about that I can say Roma should have won the game, they were goal hungry in the game and pushed with every possession, they were rather just unlucky to have conceded the goal not too long after how hard it took them to get the goal initially.
Roma have to work so hard and need luck from themselves and opponents as well to go far in this season. It is best if they can end this season in top 4 and join Champions League next season. It will give more motivation for star players to join Roma in summer transfer. However, I am doubtful that they can achieve this.

Recently Napoli has been a bit off form. Roma could take this opportunity. However, if they want to be in the top 4 of the points table, they must leave Juventus behind. It will not be easy at all. Juventus and Atlanta are doing quite well. If Roma were to qualify for the Champions League, they would have to perform well against strong teams. If they can't beat the strongest teams, they won't be able to get into the top 4.

This is what I do. I drink and I know things.
Extremely unpleasant results in this round: Milan, Inter, Juventus scored points, while Roma, Napoli, Atalanta lost. Napoli managed to lose at home to Spezia - one of the worst teams in Serie A. It's good that yesterday I did not have time to place bets here - 100% I would add to the multi-bet match Napoli - Spezia and lose.

It depends on which side of the bet (coin) are you on, the winning side or the losing side. Grin
Luckily the results of Milan, Inter, Juventus, Roma, and Hellas Verona send me to the cashier with a nice Christmas "gift". The only reason that I didn't add Napoli to any of my Serie A bets, was the very low odds. One of Napoli's big issues is that they can't handle the pressure of being a favorite, so I prefer to avoid betting on them at such prices. Another game that they fail and the title looking to go away... Lips sealed

AC Milan fight for Scudetto with Juventus very tight in many seasons. Inter Milan only were able to won 5 Scudetto after Calciopoli and Juventus struggled to get their power back. Roma won only one Scudetto but they had some amazing run with AC Milan but failed because of amazing performance from Shevchenko and Kaka, failed against Inter Milan because of Mourinho and Ibrahimovic. The domination of Juventus in 9 seasons are very impressive because Serie A is more competitive than Ligue 1.

Napoli are the best in clubs you mentioned. They did not win any Scudetto since the era of Maradona. Even when Higuain had an amazing season with about 30 goals for Napoli in Serie A, they failed the race with Juventus.

I quite agree, I didn't place any bet on the Serie A this week, but there is absolutely no way I would have won if I did with those results.

For me personally, it will be boring if the scudetto are played by Milan and Inter, I love when the underdog is involved in the fight, and not the clubs that have been in the top for decades. As for Juventus, how good it is will be seen in the next round against Napoli (hopefully Napoli will come to its senses by this time), up to this point Juventus has been successful mainly due to a series of easy opponents.

Napoli has weird results. I recall the same thing happening last season, you never know when they will win or lose regardless of being the favourite team or the underdog... As pointed, inconsistency is the right word to describe what is happening there! I read rumours about teams from other leagues thinking about signing some players from Napoli. Don't know how much accurate this but it will make things worse there imo.
It is a weird season for Napoli so far. They gave us a big surprise with their win row but then they made us more surprised by losing too many points in recent matches. They fell down on table much faster than what I imagined weeks ago. I know with Napoli, it's not realistic to think they can manage their win row for too long but I did believe they can keep up their good position on the table. I did believe they can win Scudetto as well because opponents in this season will be AC Milan and Inter Milan, not Juventus.
Anyway and somehow Napoli lost all early advantages very quickly and easily. Furthermore, it seems Juventus are back and if top clubs keep up their unstable performance, Juventus might join Scudetto race in coming months. It will be a biggest surprise in this season.
Personally, it was unexpected for me exactly with what pace Napoli scored points at the beginning of the championship and kept its lead. Because it seems that there were no prerequisites for such a pace and such a state of things, so the decline in the results is by no means surprising. It is surprising with whom the team loses points, because after an important victory over one of the leaders Milan, a defeat from one of the outsiders follows. With all due respect to a club like Spezia, it is still unacceptable to suffer defeat from them at home if Napoli wants to claim something serious this season. Also, of course, the club must necessarily strengthen, and not engage in earnings by selling off its players.

When the season started, Inter Milan was underrating, people though they won't be able to even occupy the top 4, because they lost their keys players. But, as we can see now, Inter Milan are doing greatly. They are presently leading on the Serie A standings with 46 points, and also they have high chances of winning the Serie A trophy. So far they have played 19 matches, and lost only 1. If they maintain their performance, I bet Inter Milan will end up lifting the Serie A trophy this season.
I didn't doubt them one bit, I know they will challenge for the title this season.the board did a good job by not allowing lautaro Martinez leave with Lukaku that showed intent and  commitment and vision, don't forget they bought a great player and experience Dzeko to replace Lukaku and again the gamble of the coach ( Izaghi) paid off.he is truly and Italian tactician, Antonio Conte will be proud of such successor.

With these results, AC Milan and Inter Milan will keep fighting for Scudetto. Juventus climb up more on the table and Roma only have 1 point from Sampdoria (not lost). Atalanta and Napoli failed so they all together make the competition for positions from third to fourth is very interesting. Juventus are the most solid team in last few matches. They silently collected points and climbed up on Serie A table.

I think Juventus and Atalanta will be best candidates for these positions. Roma and Napoli might have to accept positions from fifth to sixth. It is not surprise for Roma but too bad for Napoli.

The Empoli vs Milan game is going on really interestingly now. It was a close game until some point. But Milan secured themselves about getting a win by bringing the score advantage from 2-1 to 4-1. And Empoli just scored a penalty. But there is not much time left for the end and Milan would secure a nice win I think. And Napoli are just a big disappointment now. They are still 1-0 behind against Spezia. And even if they manage draw with Spezia, it is still not acceptable for them.
Napoli lost today is very quiet unfortunate. The statistics and game play did not reflect on the result. That is football for you. A game of Luck and Skills. Spezia was at the lucky end today. Napoli couldn't atone the own goal of Jesus J.
But if you look at statistics, you will be so sorry for Napoli. For instance, Napoli has about 83 dangerous attack compared to Spezia's 23. Yet, Spezia stole the 3points.

This was a really similar game to the Real Madrid vs Cadiz game in the La Liga a few days ago. Real Madrid dominated it fully but it ended in a draw by 0-0. But Napoli couldn't even draw with Spezia in this game. This was a really worrying result for them. They were actually the best starting team to the season but now they are the worst among top 4 teams in the standings now. But I'm believing in them to recover and leave these hard days behind as soon as possible.
