You right.
The only solution then will be to do some cool off breaks in the middle of the 1st and 2nd time.

In addition to that keep in mind, they will probably, not confirmed yet, 5 substitutions up from 3.

I hope they can play all the games in the evening but in the last month if I'm not mistaken they were talking about 3-time slots/windows (I don't know the right term).

As the teams return to training, the Premier League announced that six positive tests for coronavirus were found among 748 players and the staff of 19 clubs.
Efforts are being made to resume but it seems unlikely to happen.

Premier League isn't scheduled to restart before ~month and if we take on consideration that it requires approximately 14 days to heal from the virus, those players still have 2 weeks to reintegrate their teams + their number (pourcentage) isn't that high nor significant so no need to exaggerate thing imo

I think all football players should have isolated themselves the right way during this period. Thus, a 14-day period is not required for the teams to start their training. However, it is still necessary for everyone to comply with social distance at the beginning.

All footballers, technical team and all personnel must be completely isolated during the return period of these leagues. There aren't many matches left anyway. It may have been concluded quickly in the summer.
We will find out, once leagueS resumed, who will be the irresponsible idiot(s) that ruined a whole league(s) for fun (partying and other stupid unnecessary things). For the moment I am aware of one in England...
Hopefully there will be no one in the future.

I think the decision of the government to be more entitled than the FIGC is because the government has more power in issuing this pandemic rule, Italy is really heavy and large that is infected by Covid-19 so it will be more difficult to continue before June 13th.

I think Serie A is really hard in making decisions if it is too fast then it is feared that more and more will be infected including staff and players.

Yup, that's true, even FIGC has exact date, if government doesn't give any permission, Serie-A will be done (canceled or based on last standing to choose the champions).

Anyway, there a news if sports minister Vincenzo Spadafora will be doing a meeting[1] on May 28, 2020. Also, there a rumor [2] if Serie-A must completed on August 20, 2020. The new season 2020/21 will be starting on September 1.

I was thinking the same BUT since if they play they will play in an empty stadium they can play a later hour like 22.00 Local time when the temperature is lower.
I don't think that will happen due to television rights and agreements that were previously made on that front. It's also late and viewers might not want to stay up to watch a match that will end at 00:00 or 01:00 if they have to work in the morning. Revenue from TV coverage will be vital at this time since they wont earn anything from ticket sales and fan merchandise.

Most of you probably are not Italian, and not have idea.
Playing football in some places/cities will be literally crazy due very high temperature even in the afternoon.

A small addition on what people wrote here if the season will stop again when and if it will restart, it will probably be completed with playoff with the first 4 teams.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
^ There is still not a final decision, if conditions in Italy more better, maybe they will start the league before 13 June. But, the problem is, FIGC not the only one the decision maker to continue Serie-A or other sports league, they needed confirmation from prime minister too, as you see on @coinlocket$ post, prime minister banned any sports until 14 June, it's will hard to resuming Serie-A before 13 June.

I know this is a discussion only about SERIE A but has been announced by FIGC that they will not restart other minor league except Serie A/B/C.
About major leagues, it has been announced also the date of 20th August 2020 for their completion.

I am still curious to see how it evolve ... and probably this could be a bias for the whole competition.

New week, new drama.
The recovery of football in Italy is turning into a comedy.

  • Last week the president of Italian sport said that football will start 99% on June 13th
  • Yesterday the prime minister made a law that banned team sports games until June 14th
  • Today the Minister of Sports said that the 28 Goigno will meet to decide if and when Seria A will be able to restart.
  • The scientific and technical committee gave the go-ahead for team training and changed the protocol in case of contagion
  • The president of the players' unions wants at least 4 weeks of training

To be continued...

13th June is a long way in order to start the league.
Possibly all ends are going to be met and the league is going to start in the beginning of June - Maybe 5-6th June.
In case an infection happens then the league might be possibly canceled again.

This is little weired as it seems their is lack of coordination among the respective groups to come to the same date or identify just the month and give a go ahead which may be tentative only. But good part is that things are looking back to resume which is vital and making progress towards it is the beneficial. Hope we can see the action back on ground as quickly as possible .

Finally, I think they will come to an agreement to resume the Serie A. Only some discussions on matches and solution for quarantine if players infected with the virus. They are all talking about the resume, it is good, generally.

Maybe 2 weeks of individual trainings and next 2 weeks for group trainings before bringing the Serie A matches to real life. I think the training schedule is good and help to increase the general match quality. I have a feeling that they all want to delay the resuming day for next 2 or 4 weeks later than previous schedule just to reduce risks of infected players. It's their hope and it is a good way to make sure whenever the league will be resumed, it will have as biggest chance as possible to finish the season.

Technically there are all talking about resuming Serie A which is a good news, the problem is when! They don't have the courage of Germany nor the cowardness of French and others (pissed for their retreat retreat, abort abort!!), so it will take a time for sure but hopefully at the end we will know who gonna grab that title!

Bundesliga games were quite good and without incident, that's true but if you are referring to Coronavirus then we have to wait for 7-14 days to see if there was an incident or not.
It is a good restart for Bundesliga but things will become clearer next 2 weeks. I hope that at least there will be no serious incidents next one month, then if something happen, Bundesliga will have great chance (with so little matches) left and the season will be able to finish.

Even if the players are tested negative, this couldn't exclude with 100% the possibility of carrying the virus under the detection level.
Anyway I am personally happy to see things going well and hope it will continue like that. What perplexed me is that Italy is opening its frontiers a little bit soon which is a risky move imo, even if European countries are having a slow down but well...
There are two ways to end the pandemic: from health perspective and from social perspective. Don't let the virus and the pandemic destroy the world completely on many aspects of our lives.

Today the Bundesliga is running normally there is no problem at all it's just that without spectators in the match, but I'm sure Italy will also do the same thing where they will implement like Germany so that the league runs smoothly, of course with optimism and pray I want the Italian league match continued because many bettors were waiting for the match.

I hope that in Turkey it will also be resolved soon because this is what we hope for by praying that God will grant it.

You mentioned Turkey, i think it will take much more time there since the spread of the infection was delayed few weeks in comparison to Italy and the daily positive rate was higher.

The national Ministry of Health said that a new wave of infections is expected during the months of September and October. Hopefully this prediction is not fulfilled and that there is an advance to counteract the virus.
Because the measures you are saying are being taken to avoid infections. Italy like all countries needs to resume their economies safely.

@Naida_br I think you need to be more optimistic and pray that the league resumes soon, because lots of money is at stake and if the league doesn’t resume soon then many people could permanently loose their jobs. @coinlocket$ yes the situation is definitely improving in Italy, and we all should also sincerely pray that the league starts and ends peacefully without any player or staff getting infected by the virus.
In fact, many leagues are already working to return. Bundesliga is returning tomorrow. Apart from this, return activities continue in many leagues. Even in a country where the disease is watched extensively like Italy, there is a possibility now. In my country (Turkey) continues preparations. However, positive cases from many teams started to be reported. The teams continue their work, but I think there is a possibility that there will be a problem.
