Adding more info, today the Prime minister has spoken and to me is too early on what he is doing

  • Italy is re-opening and is going fully in phase 2
  • From 18th May, will open almost everything who can follow the social distancing protocol like bars, restaurants and more
  • From 03rd of June, people from EU can travel to Italy without doing the quarantine
  • From 13th of June will open the rest of activities like Cinemas

Now the interesting part of football

  • He said we still have not an official date when and if it will restart
  • For a new start they want a more elaborate plan

So, in the end, the intention is to start again but is not sure if they will.
If phase 2 will fail, need around 2 weeks to see if cases will increase there is no way that the season will end.

To be continued...

If they could isolate the whole teams there is a chance but they do not focus on that idea for some reason. Definitely it is not always easy to keep everyone at the same place, but that is the best possibility right now. Get all the teams in the league on the same stadium, get a place nearby very close, put all the staff, maintenance, players, security and everyone in that place, make them stay there for a month and constantly test them, and I mean like every 12 hours test them, there should be literally nobody that has a contact with outside world.

If there is anything needed, just have a place where people would make a drop off and after they leave you take it that way nobody contacts with anyone. That would 100% work but somehow nobody talks about it.

The Italian Premier League association believes the league could resume on 13 June and that by the end of the competition they could have a very tight match Schedule.
President of the Italian Federation Gabriele Gravina is worried that everything could fall into the water if even one player is positive on the corona because then all the players have to be quarantined.

@Naida_br I think you need to be more optimistic and pray that the league resumes soon, because lots of money is at stake and if the league doesn’t resume soon then many people could permanently loose their jobs. @coinlocket$ yes the situation is definitely improving in Italy, and we all should also sincerely pray that the league starts and ends peacefully without any player or staff getting infected by the virus.

In fact, many leagues are already working to return. Bundesliga is returning tomorrow. Apart from this, return activities continue in many leagues. Even in a country where the disease is watched extensively like Italy, there is a possibility now. In my country (Turkey) continues preparations. However, positive cases from many teams started to be reported. The teams continue their work, but I think there is a possibility that there will be a problem.

It's absolutely true, situation in Italy is improving and most of activities will open again from Monday 18th May.

But there are few things to consider about start of Serie A .
- most of teams are in the north/centre of Italy, in the south there is only Naples (Napoli).
- Covid19 daily cases are already too much respect other countries (despite an heavy lockdown for a couple of months there...)
- some restrictions have been removed and there is a probability that another "wave" would come in the next weeks Sad
- some players have been infected, and according our national guidance actually is to risky get teams infected (Club's president should pay a lot of money as insurance for these players...)
- no income from football stadium (it's impossible make social distance or ask people to follow this restriction)

let's see what happens at this point since there is a strong economic interest behind and they are urging to find a solution

I think that Serie A will never end this year.
Italy had so many infections all that time and it is inevitable to see that no one of the players is going to get infected during the restart of the league. As you said if a player is found positive the whole team is going to go on quarantine but also the teams that had games with the team of the infected player.
Last time I checked the coronavirus chart i noticed that Italy is doing very well, without counting that most infected people are from the North which could be an alternative to relocate teams and games to the south. I assume that the resume date will be in late June or in July unless a major event happened in another league or in Italy like a second wave or a whole team infected...

Actually the situation here is going better, it could be better for sure but it is better than other European countries.
A big thing will be on from the 18th of May when they will open more things.

From the 18th more stores will open and a new wave can hit the population but now, for example, we are under France as active cases.

Keep also in mind some people have a strange low rate of deaths because they are "hiding" or "skipping data" also if a nation is doing a low amount of tests they will have ofcouse a low amount of cases.

R0 should be around 0.6-0.7 now here.

in fact the only certain thing is that group training will begin on Monday, if Lazio has transgressed this rule by starting them before it should be penalized in some way, the serie a would like to start the championship on June 13 but the government has not yet decided, if a player is found positive the whole team must make a 15-day quarantine as recommended by the scientific committee, but the serie a suggests in the event of a similar situation only a 7-day quarantine to be able to play the next matches anyway, in my opinion it wouldn't be fair to people who were forced into a 15-day quarantine

hmph..
Adding more info

  • Lazio violated the protocol of social distancing on sports letting player training as teams of 3 players (hiding the training sessions)
  • Inter told to media "we will not go on games if the protocol remains as described".
  • Ibra is back in Milan
  • The president of the Italian sports (CONI) told this morning, SERIE A will start with 99% of odds on the 13 of June

To be continued...

It is very surprising that lazio does such stupid things when they already have a good position in the standings. The action should have received a warning from the FIGC for this action which certainly could provide negative things for the health of his own team.

Welcome back to Ibra, ac milan fans can't wait to see him play again.. Grin

Good news, i wish it will be an official statement from federation

^^ Not only the whole team is going to be quarantined but all the teams that have played against the team that has one player infected will be quarantined as well.
In other words, this means that if one infection is going to be detected all the league is going to be postponed as well.

Not your keys, not your coins!
We have some info.
  • The minister of sport give the ok for team training from the 18th of May.
  • The scientific committee imposed a period of 15 days of total isolation before the first game.
  • The president of the SerieA wants to start on June 13 in this way, according to him, it will also be possible to complete the Italian Cup (2 games missing).
Good news for Serie A from the minister of sport and the president of Serie A. With such news, I think we will see the league resumes soon.

But now the part that makes you think and that perhaps will not start the Serie A
  • In the case that a player is infected, the whole team will have to be quarantined, what happens if a team will go into quarantine?
  • the team doctors can be penal prosecuted in case of problems, from here they are organizing to say strikes
If one player is infected, and the whole team will be quarrantined, let's assume that solution will be applied. Some clubs have matches with the quarantined team will have to wait for rescheduled matches with the team or if there are more than one quarantine team, reschedule matches for rest healthy teams can be considered. It is good to finish as many matches as possible and the troubling ones with quarantined teams will be solved later, I think so.

    • The scientific committee imposed a period of 15 days of total isolation before the first game.
This should include all the personnel involved in matches; players, coaching staff, medics, ball boys, stewards, referees, in order for it to be really effective.

    • In the case that a player is infected, the whole team will have to be quarantined, what happens if a team will go into quarantine?
I guess their matches would be postponed for the 14 day mandatory quarantine period. If there are no contact cases, they'll likely throw in their misses fixtures into a short time window to ensure the season remains on track. However if more than one team has a case, this could lead to the season being put on hold again.

So all of this must be the responsibility of the doctor where they have to do the testing in a team if they fail in doing this it will be prosecuted? I think it certainly cornered the doctors where they had to be prosecuted if there was negligence, it would definitely be a strike for fear of what was expected.

Could this be in a hurry if there were still infected teams that had to quarantine themselves before and before the match began in the near future.

unfortunately contradictory news arrives regarding the resumption of the championship, with certainty the collective training will resume from next Monday 18 May, the championship should start again from mid-June but if a player proves positive the whole team should do two weeks of quarantine and the doctors athletes will have a criminal liability if they do not make the appropriate checks, in these conditions the resumption is difficult

Well ok. The three shirts have the same colours but they are not the same!
At least the third kit is totally different designed that Real Madrid's one. Orange is one of the most used colors for the third kit and why Juventus not to use it.

Coronavirus: Italian government to allow Serie A clubs to start team training from May
Great news, team training will be resumed by May 18, in case of a positive case, all contacts will be quarantined for 2 weeks which is very risky for teams of Serie A  (not like Germany where only positive cases will be quarantined)
    Plus this...  Lips sealed

Since the return to training last week, Fiorentina and Sampdoria announced 10 positive tests. In addition, a Torino player tested positive
