That's because UEFA wants every major league to resume their activies in the summer. They're like "we moved the Euro 2020 to next year so you guys better sort things out asap so we can resume Champions and Europa league in August". I'm starting to believe that the top 3 leagues (LaLiga, Premier League, SerieA) are set to resume in the next 2 months (covid19 infection curve will be going down by then), and right now the leagues are: 1) waiting for the govt to give the green light, 2) discussing whether games will be played behind closed doors or not, or if they'll play abroad.
All major leagues should finish their seasons to avoid more complicated things for them and for UEFA.
1. Governments have to shed green lights to open necessary activities first and maybe 2 or 4 weeks later, sports will be repopened.
2. I vote for playing in stadiums, behind closed doors. It is safety for players, and communities.
3. Play abroad, I don't think so because we have been in a pandemic and each nations can not rely on the others like that.

- To Juventus
- Decided in 2 matches between Juventus and Lazio
- Not assigned but keep the position for next Champion's League
I think Juve said a few days ago that they wouldn't accept the title without competing. Option 2 is possible. Option 3 could be controversial, there are a lot of teams with good chances of qualifying to the european competitions (Roma is 3pts behind 4th place, Milan and Verona are close to 6th place).

It is better that there will be no championship as the number of patients are increasing on a daily basis in Italy and the number of patients died is staggering and it will take a long time for everyone to come out of this physiological trauma that everyone went through. Right now you cannot tell that situation will be sorted out by June but we might see matches with empty stadiums if the graph goes down for a while.

As for the season continuing or not I don't care about that as long as it is safe for the players to play even if it is in an empty field, but judging Italy's daily infection which is always thousands daily it won't really be safe for any team to continue their games right now and the Serie A board knows that. Yes they are losing money everyday as long as the league is suspended but they have no choice but to wait this out. We are not that far back from other leagues such as La Liga, EPL as well as Bundesliga still don't have any news about resuming their season so I wouldn't really demand or expect anything from Serie A to resume their league as early as possible.

It is clear the above news that the Serie A league will continue at the time of this pandemic they say it will continue in June (I hope that there is no change) in this season there will still be a championship which will not be as festive as the previous season due to limitations in the crowd so that this will maintain its safety.
Just a little difference with Lazio is not impossible that Lazio will overtake with their victory and let's wait for the next match in Serie A.

Not giving a title to anyone makes more sense. I know that it is very very possible for Juventus to win if the league continues but look at premier league, the title definitely belongs to Liverpool, they would have been the champions without a doubt, they were 20+ points ahead, but right now they haven't decided on anything but I think they are not giving anyone the championship.

Best case would be let everyone on their place to go to europe next year when this is all over, that way we are sure about which team goes to europe but at least not giving any team any extra credit where it is not due, just allowing them for european cups and thats it, nothing more, not even money for their place because there is a lot of money lacking this season.

@efialtis  random but, is that Milinkovic Savic in the cover? If Gazzetta was going to have strikers on the cover, why didn't they include a pic of the league goalscorer Immobile? lol

And yeah, looks like the Serie A executives want to resume the league asap and they're going through different options. I found this one: https://www.football-italia.net/151894/extreme-idea-serie-all-rome
*Play all the games in Rome.

And this one: https://www.repubblica.it/rubriche/spycalcio/2020/04/08/news/la_serie_a_ora_copia_il_piano_della_bundesliga_-253473276/
*Play behind closed doors. Less than 300 people in stadiums including reporters. League could resume in first week of June.

Yes every day they are coming up with new ideas but it the end IMHo they will not play and the title will go

From the given news, Serie A has been under considerations to be replayed in the South, at Rome where there are less problems with the virus. And the Serie A might be replayed in June, it is one month later the plan of Bundesliga. But it is a plan and nothing will happen if the nation won't fight well against the virus and the government won't lift the lockdown order in the nation. From those plans (of Serie A and Bundesliga) we know that they really want to finish the season if there are opportunities to do that.

wow... I wasn't expecting this! I think the Serie A won't be started that soon even is another city.
Currently Italy doesn't have a good situation with lock-down and government won't change the lock-down rules. But, on the other side of the story Bundesliga but much better chance to start soon.
In my own idea the Bundesliga can be replayed in the begging of next month maybe.

@tomahawk9 I’m really surprised to know that Italian League is planning to play again so soon, considering the fact that Italy is one of the worst effected countries due to Covid19. Furthermore Italian League model can be replicated by other leagues too, as I’m sure that they’ll be able to find some stadiums which are coronavirus free and then they can arrange to play their remaining games there.

Just if leagues' managers want, they can sort it out (with good support from the pandemic). Some nations in North of Europe has began or planned to reopen their kindergartens and schools. Even in most affected nations like Italy, there are regions less affected by the virus and they can finish the leagues within a number of very limited closed stadiums. It won't make fans happy but it is probably the last option to finish leagues. Better than nothing, and better than worst. And if national leaugues get finished we will see the Euro 2020 (now becomes Euro 2021) next summer. Are they what we all waiting for?

The media isn't reporting the news about Dybala's tests properly. Dybala was never cured. His 1st test showed that he was positive on COVID-19 while he was in quarantine. He felt bad for a few days and was out of breath and then he started to recover. He then underwent a 2nd test and he was still positive on COVID-19. He never recovered in the sense that he was tested negative. He just felt better and became asymptomatic but not cured.

It's highly possible that there are a lot of people walking around that could be feeling 'alright' but are carriers of the virus.

Anyway what's the latest about the Serie A?  I heard training will start again soon at the Bundesliga.  That's good in the sense that we get distracted for a little bit.

That is the biggest problem the world is facing, the carriers who do not show any symptom of the virus and go out thinking they are all good.By doing so these are the most dangerous persons to other persons health.

Serie A if it starts soon it is a big risk for another reopening of another massive virus spread so I hope they rethink about it.Italy still has not recovered although number of deaths are a bit smaller it needs at least another month of lockdown in order to contain the virus.

I don't know if this is really a "plan" or is just one of those updates from the Serie A to make it look like there is a development for the resumption of the league. I don't know why the FIGC is doing medical guidelines right now without even saying if the league will resume or not but I think it is better to be prepared then not. Also I've been seeing news about teams will be playing the games in Rome so that they have a controlled environment for all players, which isn't really a bad idea considering that they'll also be testing players affected by the virus if they are fit to play.

None knows what happened exactly with him and his girlfriend.
I think that he is the one who tries to keep this information private and we cannot learn what is going on with him.
At least we can pray that he is healthy.

There is nothing new about Serie A because the situation is still like this. I think it is still far from the word of training because some of the players are still infected with Covid-19, which means it is still too heavy for Italy to start sports activities including Serie A football. Still waiting a long time (maybe)

If the Bundesliga training will start soon then I think the situation there has begun to be conducive so Germany is still brave enough to start sports activities.

I have actually just read a Greek article stating that even though the Covid-19 situation is unfortunately not really getting better in Italy, the Serie A season might resume in the next month, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

There seems to be an agreement between the clubs to resume play in between May 24th and June 7th. Trainings will start around May 4th.

If that really works out, the season finale will be in July.

The curve is decreasing in the "overall increase" in Italy but we are not at the peak yet, we will be at the peak during this week we hope.

Deaths and serious condition are already decreasing and this is the 1st step, IMHO there is no way they will start again in 1 month.

...
There is one month to go till the scheduled day to begin training sessions for clubs and will the plan be real we don't know at the moment. It will depend on the Italy's epidemic progress next one month. From reports of ISS, the new infected cases have still been in the downwards trend and the same for severe patients who need to be treated with ICUs.

Looks good for now and we have reasons to hope that news will eventually turn to be real and we can enjoy matches in May. The race to Scudetto between Juventus, Lazio, and Inter Milan will keep going. The fight for Champions League and Europa League slots will be between Atalanta (they still do their jobs well in CL this season), AS Roma and AC Milan.
