the federation and the clubs in a series push to be able to play the remaining matches given the huge economic interests at stake, but the government is hesitating the situation here in Italy as regards the virus it is still uncertain...
In Italy situation is still not good as currently 400+ deaths and its not good sign hopefully in June this all will be in some better shape and Government and Serie A officials able to hold this all without any serious trouble.

Not sure about the date, they missing "only 12 games" and if they play every 3 days it is only 6 weeks if EUFA will delay all, they can easily and probably more safety start in June.
If that true, it will potential to play a match without supporters, from current pandemic situation in Italy, I think govt, UEFA and FIGC won't take a risk to sell a ticket for supporters until end of season.
The pandemic in Italy is quite severe so if it really happens that the match will continue in June then there will be no spectators until the end of the season because to anticipate being infected with the other possible to the players also in safeguards and sterile will be even tighter for prevention.

But still broadcasting on TV must remain broadcast so that me do not get bored to see the league playing again.

Probably indeed almost certainly something related to money.
IMHO there are two possibilities.
They have threatened to give fewer prizes for this and next season, the teams take money based on the final ranking position.
They simply realized that if they refuse to play, the whole system can collapse as there is no money coming from private individuals and TVs.

Yeah, it all boils down to money, and I think you hit the nail right on the head with the first option. Play, and get what we committed. Don't play, and you guarantee less prize money.

Brescia know they're most likely out anyway, so they'll want to squeeze the most out of this.

I don't know the financial status of clubs in Serie A but judging from the fallout yet to come at Barca, you think this will be a huge reset button to reshuffle the power structure?

Yup. Solidarity here just from a day ago. Wonder how concessions were made. Brescia even wanted to forfeit before rather than play.

The quote from the statement: "The Serie A general assembly met this morning and confirmed, with a unanimous vote of all 20 clubs connected by video conference, the intention to complete the 2019-2020 football season, if the government allows it to take place," said the statement... in compliance with medical protocols for the protection of players and all professionals."

So May 4th training resumes with social distancing, wonder if they'll also go like English FA suggesting one stretch of 30 days to finish 9/10 league games, and allow up to 5 substitutes. All kinds of suggestions, and to be fair, I like some of them.

Only 12 games...
Those games are only for the Serie A right? Should we consider all other games that need to be played in European contests or the Italian Cup?
6 weeks playing games every 3 days is very tiring for the players.

Unlike what was said yesterday in the meeting that they did this morning all twenty clubs decided unanimity for a yes to the restart of the championship.

They have yet to decide how, where and when but the intention is to play the remaining games.

now it seems almost official that the a series will resume training from 4 May and will play the remaining matches of the current championship and Italian cup until their end, the minor series will instead start again from next season...
The best thing I think they need to do since it seems likely that they gonna resume training soon is to play behind closed doors till the end of the season so as to curtail this virus. The virus is not fully gone, hopefully this pandemic ends soon

You guys do not understand what he was trying to say I assume. When there is a lockdown, that means as little human contact as possible, meaning you stay at home as long as you can, is there people who go out of their homes? Sure for example doctors do that, hands down (well or go to a hotel designated for them) so are they time to time outside? Sure they are, people also do go out to buy grocery for example, those are all fine examples. However people are told to stay at home as much as they possibly can! What is it so hard to understand that when you tell people to stay at home for their own health and safety, bringing back the league would be contradicting those words? Why can the players suit up in jerseys, find a pitch and go out there and play football whereas people are told to stay at their homes? Either or Neither righth now, they can't make both of that work at the same time if you ask me, and shouldn't neither.

How could they make a statement about the lockdown at this stage? I am talking about the government here not the league.
Resuming the league does not entail removing the lockdown, matches can be played behind closed doors and minimal involvement i.e limited camera people, coaching crew, stewards etc, and also no unnecessary contact between them.
At this point, all we have is speculation, and no concrete decision has been arrived at yet, the economy needs to be restarted slowly to cushion the effect of the lockdown, but safety of the citizens have to be prioritized. It's a tough decision.

Today I have seen some news about English Premier League, they think to start championship without public! Now everything seems
so fragile, but in some time deals will be made, and probably we will watch football without fans on stadiums. For most of us who live
far away it's the same, we watch games just on TV.
After lock down we will see what officials have to say! I think that we will watch football and other sports without audience, and that
will be for entire 2020.

Think about it, they made every single person to stay at home and limited all of their contacts with other humans and allowed them to go outside only to buy stuff they need, that is the bare minimum amount of human contact they could arrange right now, and even with that it took weeks even over a month before we saw anything got better, and we are not even any better right now, we need to be A LOT better to actually talk about removing the lockdown.

Not like any of these are not enough, but we also have to consider the fact that if we do not have a vaccine, even if we have zero dead count one day, there are tens of thousands of infected, which means we could see a second wave if they remove it.

there is nothing official are only guidelines but probably it will be like this, the link is in Italian but with google translator you can read it, the football league expresses its will to complete the 2019/2020 championship http://www.legaseriea.it/uploads/default/attachments/comunicati/comunicati_m/8333/files/allegati/8426/comunicato_stampa_49_-_nota_assemblea_lega_serie_a.pdf

Players are starting to coming back, the 1st is Pjanic.

They maybe really start next month than.
The come back of players to Italy is the very first step to help the Serie A back to be actively played. The 1st Juventus player is Pjanic now let's see who will be next? Cristiano Ronaldo who are greedy to jump in stadium and train with balls. I think he will take a flight and come back to Italy and Juventus soon.

We are waiting for but still have not seen announcements of lockdown release from government.

now it seems almost official that the a series will resume training from 4 May and will play the remaining matches of the current championship and Italian cup until their end, the minor series will instead start again from next season...

At the moment nothing is official we know only that teams like Juve and Milan has pre-called players from around the world.
This is the 1st stage of calling back them, when they will back they need to do 14 days in quarantine.
Yeah nothing official. I read about the plan of resuming games at the end of May or the beginning of June but it still has to be accepted by politic. There is some resistance and criticism from here and there AFAIK.
Imo, moving to the south? and following precise guidelines could make it feasible. The problem is how to control everyone. Some players or staff members will try to sneak out for few hours trip, some (not seriously) injured players may require to visit a hospital which could be also a problem...
