The virus is already all over the world, they are finding a lot here in Italy cause they are doing tests to everyone near the "patient 0-1".
The term of patient 0-1 for outbreak and the identified of specific patient 0-1 for specific outbreak is only relatively. Identified patients 0-1 are not completely exact in some cases.

80% or more of the cases are positive with no symptoms for now.
Not correct. Around 81% [1] of confirmed cases through NAT (nucleid acid test) have mild symptoms but no one knows how many percent those confirmed cases account for in real total infected cases. There are so many infected cases (with or without symptoms in communities).

I bet it will be the same already in other countries or it will be soon when they will start with tests.
Sure. We have come closer to a pandemic. WHO only has tried to delay announce an official pandemic Covid-19 to avoid over-paranoid globally.

At least if this proposal gets approve we could still watch the games online
Which professional footballer will go out there to play knowing that the virus is on the loose  Grin
I personally think everything may come to a standstill if there is a pandemic which will be quite sad

Wait wait...  So somebody could be positive without knowing they're positive?  How long til the symptoms start showing?  Pretty sure it should appear within two weeks of catching the virus.

And how did Italians get some many infections?  I'm hearing Spain is too.

Yeah they already confirmed this last two days ago. Due to it's complexity even if there are no symptoms showing the person can already start infecting other people even if they look healthy. What the Serie A president suggested is already the best alternative we have aside from cancelling the games entirely, this is the only option we have for Italy not to spread the virus due to crowded matches. A lot of conferences and events worldwide are being cancelled already so it's really understandable for sporting events and leagues have these precautionary measures not to worsen the outbreak. At least if this proposal gets approve we could still watch the games online

Yeah. It's airborne and it's earliest signs and symptoms are like for a common cold and could be ignored. Therefore, before the infected person realizes that the infection is serious, s/he will have spread it already to other people who will also be having no idea that they have already contracted it.

It's very hard to contain than the likes of Ebola

It's so sad that the Footballing world will feel the pinch very soon due to the masses that attend the matches

Playing matches in closed stadiums don't protect players and clubs' staffs. If one of them infected with the virus, it will be spred out very fast over clubs, and over nations.

I hope that Corona virus is not going to destroy this amazing Serie A league that we are experiencing this year.
We had a lot of seasons to watch such a competitive championship and it will be so sad to see the top 3 teams being affected by the Corona virus epidemia
Currently world is facing some very quick effects of this Coronavirus because today I read its already spreading very quickly in India, Iran, Afghanistan, Korea and Pakistan so authorities fail to control this look like we have to pay for this something big because too many peoples and deaths happening in very quick session.

IF they will play, for now the most probable situation is to play the game without people at the stadium.
Exactly. According to Italian SKY, the Serie A President has sent a letter to the Italian government asking that matches shouldn't be postponed because of the tight schedule. Instead he suggests that they should be played with empty stands.

And this will be applied to all matches in Champions League and Europa League for Italian clubs, for next days?

If the Covid-19 pandemic won't be controlled next weeks and keep spreading in Europe, soon we will see all matches in Europe through our televisions or smartphones. All of matches from now on have been under high risks of will be played in closed stadiums.

Overspend is an unavoidable and terrible issue for giant clubs when they try to come back as fast as possible, in rush things like you discussed. Look beyond the Italy, in Europe, recent seasons, we have Manchester United. They bought superstar (Pogba), youth talents (Bissaka, Daniel James, etc.), very normal, average defender (Harry Maguire) at very expensive transfer costs. It's unbelievable to see they bought those players at such overvalued prices. Milan should avoid this approach, I agree with you.

Not all clubs especially outside from the EPL needs to spend money in order to be competitive next season. Look at clubs like RB Leipzig and Ajax they don't spend that much money in order to stay and remain competitive in the league or in European leagues. However what AC Milan is trying to achieve in chasing a UCL spot in the table is something they'll be overspending at since to be frank their players are not all Champions League quality and they might not even make it pass the group stages if they continue with what they have even if they replaced Pioli for another manager.

Rather than focussing on stars, superstars, they would focus on finding a good manager. I don't know who is Ragnick but Allegri is a good manager. He had some good seasons in Milan before transfered to Juventus. He understood core values of Milan. It will be good for Milan if he accepts the Milan's coach position.

Rangnick is currently the head of sport and development for Red Bull but he previously have managed several german teams including Schalke 04, 1899 Hoffenheim, and the most recent one which is RB Leipzig. Milan did hire a quality manager under Vicenzo Montella and to tell you the truth he didn't made that much difference for the team to move forward. Having the right manager is not the only key here for Milan to be relevant in European football again. They also need to overhaul their team next season if they want to do so.

On a Milan fan's standpoint (my standpoint) I don't think we need to rush things just by qualifying into the Champions League next season. Because to be honest being a fourth, thirds, or even in the second spot of the Serie A table right now doesn't show any good competitive advantage when it comes to the Champions League. If Milan rush things just to be qualified their next transfer window would be a mess for them trying to overspend on everything just to somehow "improve" their chances of winning some games in the CL.

The unbelievable come back to the top of AC Milan after the free transfer of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has changed the race to the last spot for Champions League. Now, it is the race for Atalanta (they temporarily have taken the lead position), AS Roma and AC Milan.

With all due respect to the excellent history of winnings in Champions League of AC Milan, I wish they will appear in Champions League next year.

Zlatan has not been in his best phase (he is older and older) but his effects on the whole AC Milan team, their mentality and ambition in particular, is beyond my imagination.

On a Milan fan's standpoint (my standpoint) I don't think we need to rush things just by qualifying into the Champions League next season. If Milan rush things just to be qualified their next transfer window would be a mess for them trying to overspend on everything just to somehow "improve" their chances of winning some games in the CL. Aside from that there is still an issue about the future of their manager, Stefano Pioli, with both Ragnick and Allegri being suggested to be the next manager next season their will be a new system in place that majority of the players aren't aware of. In my opinion as a Milan fan I'll be more than happy to see them qualify in the Europa League and see if they are worthy enough to be in the Champions League.

This is really tricky situation for big clubs as season is going to end and champions League is also in knock out stage and they are facing this empty stadiums just because of Corona Virus hopefully this will all go ahead peacefully for all players and spectators.

a lot is on the stake here, it is not just Serie A, they have to stop Corona spreading, or their entire tourist season will be shut down, so empty stadiums are only solutions for now, could not see that anyone will allow to have 40+ thousand people on one spot, with this rate of virus spread

This is the best option to make sure the season would end as at when due and also to avoid a packed and rushed schedule when the end of the season is close. It's sad, but we have to live with this, the virus we hope is curtailed quickly enough, but also people's safety comes first, so an empty stadium would work, even if it'll make the match boring and unspectacular, but in this situation, it's unavoidable.
I really hope that Ronaldo is able to score again in the next game but in the next match Juventus will face Inter on (2/3/2020) and I think this will be a fierce match..
Ronaldo is on an impressive scoring streak of late. Top of the table clashes always come with its difficulty, but if there's any man worthy of overcoming that, it's Ronaldo.

Omicron is another FUD
3 games are now postponed and many more probably on the next 2 weeks, safety 1st.

Juventus won yesterday and CR7 scored, if he will score again on his next played game on SerieA he will do an ALL time Serie A record for goals on consecutive games.  Shocked
