Roma was really lucky at first against Leverkusen because they were awarded penalty kicks which ended in 2 goals. However, unfortunately the apposition was not able to be maintained by them. Because on the other hand, Leverkusen also became much more aggressive after Xabi changed his tactics and squad composition. Though whichever way it turn out bologna and Atalanta will still qualify for champions league.

The Europa League is unpredictable but the higher odds belongs to Bayer Leverkusen since they've maintain unbeaten to this very level of the tournament. They're currently losing 1-0 to AS Roma and its 2-1 on the scores aggregate, we all expects for an epic comeback for Leverkusen since that's typically what they're best known for. AS Roma are not behaving like a club that's desperate to fight for major position on the Seria A table this season. Roma are 6th position on the table and they still have chance to fight to enter the UEFA Champions League next season because FIFA have made it five qualifying team for Seria A and Bundesliga.

Lazio will still have a point left to overtake Roma even if they lost the match to Atalanta. This is a very crucial match and both teams won’t take it lightly but will play their best in order to get a win. We are already coming to an end of the season and they both have a chance to book a spot in the champions league next season. This match is one that can determine the fate of these teams, so I expect the best performance by each team. Tonight, Roma have  Leverkusen to face and if they lose the match, they won’t be so confidence of winning the next one against Atalanta. They need a three goals difference in today’s match to qualify for the finals of the Europa League which in all ramifications looks impossible to achieve.

I doubt that Bologna can maintain fourth place until the end of the season, because they still have tough opponents in the remaining three matches, Napoli and Juventus. Of course, this match has the potential to make Bologna lose points again. Bologna made mistakes in the last few matches because they kept losing points due to draws, from the last 5 matches they only won once and drew four times.

So in my opinion, As Roma and Atalanta have great potential to replace Bologna in fourth position, but the one with the most potential is Atalanta because there is still one match left, As Roma has played 35 times while Atalanta has played 34 times. It seems like Roma might have a tough time securing a top-four finish this season. They have two challenging matches left against Atalanta and Genoa, and it's uncertain if they can emerge victorious in both. If they manage to win these games, they might still have a chance to clinch fourth place, especially if Bologna, their closest competitor, struggles in their remaining fixtures.

And Bologna will also faces formidable opponents like Napoli, Juventus, and Genoa, making it difficult for them to gather enough points. Considering the number of matches remaining and the strength of their opponents, Atalanta appears to be in a better position to secure a top-four finish. With four matches left to play and facing relatively easier opponents compared to Roma and Bologna, Atalanta has a higher probability of claiming a coveted spot in the top four of the league standings.

Roma doesn't have to finish top four. The fifth position gives them the Champions League qualification as well. That will be new from next season on. This still gives them a fair window of opportunity although Atalanta played one game less, but it is not a hopeless case. If you look at the whole score that De Rossi achieved with Roma, he is still doing quite well. They started dropping points in the wrong moment, but overall he has been doing better than Mourinho. It is still Roma and not Inter Milan or Manchester City. There are limits to what you can do with a team and what not.

Even though Bologna is ready to extend Motta contract, Motta will definitely start considering coaching another club. If Porto is not willing to let Conceicao go, then the next Milan target is Motta.

If Bologna do not extend Thiago Motta's contract or perhaps, Thiago Motta will accept the offer of another team then I believe Thiago Motta's departure will have a bad impact on Bologna next season. Because after all, Thiago Motta's own contract expires at the end of this season and also, based on rumors circulating at least Thiago Motta is also targeted by other teams such as Juventus to replace Allegri's coaching chair.
