First, it was 30k, not 300k...

Second. Someone probably wanted to cash out BTCs from CEX due to yesterday's (and today's) problems and sold all IXCs he had artificially dropping the price. Solds were only 30k, not a big amount

Now you have the opportunity to get cheaper IXC on CEX. Price will go up to 17k-18k easy today. Cryptsy will push up the price of CEX again. Current prices on CEX are not real Wink

PS: Price went up while I was writing this Wink

Who's walking the price down now?

I thought once mining was over then the games would stop.

Not sure what's going on here.

CEX.IO was down yesterday, however when it opened gain I noticed a ton of IXC getting sold off.

After the carnage, there was a massive sell order of around 300k+ IXC at aroung 16500 satoshi.  I did not have a buy order to take advantage.

Then next thing you know, CEX.IO goes down and apparently it is still down (for the past 5 hours).

Here is the announcement from CEX.IO:  https://support.cex.io/hc/en-us/articles/204098173

Waiting for CEX.IO to open before I make any trades.

I sell IXC at 1$ each.
Anyway, on Cex there is a bite of 65k IXC at 20k satoshi.

Man, why don't I have 10 Bitcoins right now to eat that order?  I think it's a steal.

As for $1, if IXC can do $1 then that's the hard part.  If it hits $1 on its own merit then $10 would be a near certainty.

I'll sell some at $1 to diversify a little but I won't be selling any meaningful amounts until [[if] my $10 target is hit.

To each his own, it's hard to hold an investment once you're up 50+ fold - that's a rare opportunity to not cash out.

Good luck to all...

BTW,  would you like to sell me some IXC?

I'm working right now so I have no need for selling anymore coins.  But if anything changes I'll let you know.

I hope you didn't sell your IXC trying to trade it.  That's why I never traded mine, I was sure when things started happening they would happen quickly.

There are no more miners dumping coins now so I'm curious who is selling this low?

Are there people who wanna take profit off the table after a 400% run or what's going on?

Cause all the coins keep getting bought just to have thousands more being sold.

Or do we have some people here thinking they're gonna sell at 19,888 and then buy back more when it drops?

Usually that has been the case with IXC but this time we have real partners and real developments so I really don't think the price will drop and on the contrary, I think we'll keep making new highs.

Short term speculators.

Also, I think people are looking at the order book and can't see the buying.  It's all stealth buying right now.  People have their asks but it is either too low to even be filled.   Meanwhile, I look at the order book and also can't see anyone selling in bulk.

BTW,  would you like to sell me some IXC?

I wonder when the Bitcoin whales are gonna wake and see what's really going on here.

Maybe after iXcoin launches its own full blown ecosystem along with an in-house IXC payment processor.

UNBELIEVABLE

You know, I was at a Cryptocurrency convention back in April.  Nobody every heard of IXCoin.

Even with stealth marketing,  this coin continues to impress.

That's the most shocking thing - IXC has been so strong with zero articles or marketing.

Just the other day some guy on CEX who actually bought some IXC asked me:  How do you explain the short mining (PoW) period for IXC?

Hahaha, I laughed so hard at that.  When I told him IXC is the oldest alt [besides NMC] he didn't believe me and asked for proof.

And this was a guy who had actually bought some IXC.

Given there are no more "free" coins to be dumped on the market, any marketing or exposure that's done for IXC will lead to a massive jump in price [as in my $10 target being reached].  lol.

I can't believe how many worthless hype ShitCoins are in the top 25.

Some coins IXC has surpassed (these where promoted like crazy a couple months ago):

Primecoin - lots of articles all over the place.
Zetacoin - supposedly has a footprint in Africa.
Vericoin -
Monacoin - supposedly popular with the Japanese
Novacoin - Russian coin traded on BTC-E
Megacoin - Supposedly created by Mega (Kim dot com)
WorldCoin -
VertCoin - A different kind of PoW algo
AnonCoin - One of the first "dark" kind of coin
InfiniteCoin - One of the first coins with billions minted
MaxCoin - Promoted by Max Keiser
Devcoin - the other merged mine coin (266k market cap)
TerraCoin - Traded on BTC-E
Freicoin -
AuroraCoin (68K) supposedly iceland's cryptocurrency
I0coin - (60k) supposed out to destroy ixcoin
Securecoin -  I guess it didn't secure one's wealth
Bitbar - super rare... 25k
Mincoin - $10k yes....
Stablecoin - $6,180 -  not very stable in price

UNBELIEVABLE

Guaranteed to overtake the following:

Quark
Boolberry
Xcurrency
Uro
Bytecoin
Nubits
Feathercoin
BitcoinDark
BlackCoin
Monero

That would make it #14 in the list.

That's pretty good position.  Now consider this,  IXC is the 3rd oldest coin after Bitcoin and Namecoin.   So it really is hanging around long-term!

Yeah, what happened to all those other coins that were so popular a couple months ago?  All dead or dying.

The IXCoin community needs other pairs, not BTC/IXC Wink. We all have IXC because we believe on it, we don't want them back to BTC, that's for other people who don't have IXC yet.

So I strongly suggest to add other pairs and we all then make the exchange grow.

Besides that, you should add a lot more legal info about the company.

I've been checking out the ixco.in website.  Volume is very good for a new exchange, over 100,000 IXC in the last 24 hours (if I'm reading it correctly).  The exchange is clean, simple and responsive.  As members of the iXcoin community I think we should try to support them.  We should all have accounts, even if it's not your primary exchange.  They are doing more than just run an exchange for iXcoin.  They're doing iXcoin development too, the Electrum wallet as a start and hopefully much more.  The least we can do is give them some business.

In the end there will only be one crypto!

Nice war cry, but I personally don't think that's true - there will be a small collection of cryptos that end up being adopted in the wider world that fulfil a number of specific niches, IXC is doing well  Smiley (I hold a large quantity myself) but I don't think it will ever topple Bitcoin, to make that IXC's primary goal to paramount to planning to fail.

Don't get me wrong, IXC supporter here - we just need a bit of a reality check

If you think so then you fail to understand how the world works.  For decades China, Europe, US, etc have tried to make 1 global currency but failed.  Now the tech is here to make it happen.  There are many economic and political reasons why they want one global currency.

So the questions is:  will one currency work?

The answer is:  Yes.

Scalability is the only problem for Bitcoin from becoming a global currency.

In the short run there will be multiple major currencies and some smaller niche currencies but eventually [in the end] there will be only one.  Maybe it won't be IXC but I see IXC as having more potential than BTC, tech-wise.

And that is the true reality check.

BTW, I've never seen you; how much [large amount] of IXC do you hold?

Welcome aboard!
