Poloniex.com has started testing IXC wallet on their platform. I sent them some IXC to test it properly. When all the testing is completed, the exchange of IXCoin will be up and running.

Mintpal is slipping away: we are now in 5th position.
Don't give up. We can make it!

Swisscex seems having good chances, but continue voting (ask your friend to use the phone to cast another vote  Grin)

I don't know, Friction, maybe you're right, maybe Thomas lost his login credentials again.

We're like 1 day from launching the new website and he's MIA.

Thomas the Twin,

What's going on with the dot org site?  It's still down.  Luke is gonna have the website done by tomorrow so it would be nice to have it ported over to the proper [.org] domain.

Thanks.

Still waiting for my bounty for upgrading the client.

Well, I think our Thomas is here to stay so your bounty is coming soon.

But I'd like to see Luke's new website up on the .org site.  That would be nice to see.

Well done guys!

We have collected more then 22k votes. We are in 3rd position!

We can vote every hour with several devices connected to different internet connections.

https://www.mintpal.com/voting

I think it's an exchange with a future. It's located in UK.

We are now on Cryptsy (USA), Vircurex (Canada), C-Cex.com (Ukraine).
We need something in the Western Europe: UK is perfect: a stable and dinamic enviroment.

Can you make an extra-effort to get ixcoin on this exchange?

Is this reliable? Can we get onboard? Otherwise, can we copy it?

And this one? Nice experiment.

Question: why is the website ixcoin.org not yet mirroring ixcoin.co?  Angry

Please Nasakioto, do it.

Work hard as IXC was your own coin... Ah! But ... It is your coin...  Grin

Have we decided whether or not to put a Latin Phrase on the coin like Bitcoin et al?

Oh shit, Thomas has returned to iX.

Been a few days since i posted on this thread, welcome and glad to have you back.

lol, yeah, that was my reaction as well.

It just wasn't gonna be a proper relaunch without the dot org site and without the original dev, so I'm really thrilled the guy came back.

Definitely, this is more good news.

Anyways, take it easy Vlad best of luck to you.

Thomas, we've had debates for months now as to what the meaning, if anything, was behind choosing iX for the coin name.  Cause besides the number 9, it doesn't really stand for anything.  And also, there were a lot of ways to mix up Satoshi's name to get an anagram; why did you choose Thomas, which is not Japanese, when you probably could have jumbled the letters together and gotten some Japanese sounding name.

Brilliant move BTW - in choosing a Japanese name and having it be an anagram of Satoshi - a twin for a coin designed to be a twin with a hidden meaning of twin - blew me away when I saw that the first time.  Not sure if that was planned or a mere accident but that's Brilliant.

If this coins takes off, the media will want to know these things as well so we're all eager to hear more about this coin's early days.

Thanks in advance.

Luke,

Glad to hear the site will be ready this weekend.

But any word on the android wallet? Cause we still can't launch without that.

Also, you mentioned SMS functionality in your roadmap, will that also be done when we launch or is that something much farther down the road.

Thanks.

I'll be finalising the website this weekend. I can't say as to when the other wallets will be completed as yet because I'm still in the initial stages of arranging their development.

Regards, Luke.

About the website: I hope ixcoin.org will simply mirror what ixcoin.co will be. The reason is simple: I made an effort to convince websites to update the address of the official website, while others did not do it. Having both it will give anyone the chance to be updated to the last developments.

The previous host for ixcoin.org wants $85 because of the bandwidth over-usage charge. I had no idea a $5/year hosting plan could generate $85 without blocking the account way before for over-usage. I'm not sure it is worth going back to this host if such things are possible. I'd like to find another cheap host to host the old ixcoin.org page. I'm fine with ixcoin.org mirroring ixcoin.co if everybody else is. ixcoin.co would need a bit of cleanup first though. Can we use the old logo?

Hi,

Thanks for offering to split the bounty between a few of us. It will certainly help us all take ixc to the next stage. The community voted on the logos among other things here https://tricider.com/en/multiBrainstorming/CNvk

Factoring in fake or double votes, results from voting determined that the linked IXC symbol within a thick circle was the most desired logo with the option of retro theme in future.

The community website you've seen is almost finished and is hosted and built using wix.com

The site should be finished this weekend. I wouldn't bother with that existing hosting firm. Can you point the domain to the community website DNS or is ixcoin.org locked until they receive payment?

Regards, Luke

Will check if I have the same problem.  What version of Windows?

Wait.... the .exe file for iXcoin 0.8.6 is named ixcoind.exe and the client is iXcoin-qt.exe ... so it appears you are running the old client using the new database!

Yes, I am using the old client with the old database. It crashes on startup.

Information about the new client is at www.ixcoin.co under downloads section.
