I really like these 2 background effects.  I think they would look great with the red color as well.  Of course we can us different backgrounds at various times.

Anybody else like these backgrounds more than others?

I do like the left one, maybe set up some examples and give them a number so we can recognise them.

And then let the opinions flow!

The red one on the left is my choice.

Sophisticated and bold.

I totally agree with the costs suggestion.  We have a new guy who out of the blue wants to cover costs so let's bring him in.  He obviously cares enough to develop an entire plan and roadmap for iXcoin so that means he owns a lot of coins or he's been hired to develop iXcoin.

Who has an account on reddit?  Leave the new guy a comment to join us - any negotiations or discussions is gonna take place here where everyone knows to find the info on iXcoin.

I'll do it.

I will too.  Like vlad was saying, More of us should post our opinions and we should really try to keep the discussions central to one location so new investors can more easily find it.

That said, this thread is probably the best place to hold voting and discussions.

Red or Gold ...
Gold or Red ...

I don't know if you realised it, but even Bitcoin has the same problem: divided between gold and orange logos.

I say:
- Do we agree on the logo?
- If yes, should we postpone the decision between red and gold?
- Do you agree on the black color assigned to the back?

Bitcoin itself uses the orange logo check the website. For some strange reason people created the gold logo, probably because they gave some of those gold coins to early adopters.
If you check the meaning of the color orange you will find words like young, innovation, creativity. Which is probably how they seen themselfs when they started the bitcoin project.

I'm not saying you have to pay attention to this, but somebody mentioned earlier that the coin has to be perfect if we use it.

PS: the meaning of black is death.... will a black coin be the end of IXC?(hope not Cheesy)

I like the black background, it's chic and it makes the logo stand out.  I like the bright gold logo but the red as well so I would support either one.

I vote for red and black, I think it looks bold and sophisticated. I prefer the background with the dark middle, two lighter bands, two darker bands.

Key points about the reddit take over attempt ( http://www.reddit.com/r/ixcoin/comments/1w5xk4/reshaping_and_rebranding_the_ixcoin/ ):

I've been considering the feasibility of re-branding the iXcoin. Code named: Project Evolutio

...

Bitcoin will likely become a quasi-reserve currency of all virtual and cryptocurrencies due to its investment driven focus resulting in a valuation hindering its use as a transactional platform by the mass market.
The newly re-branded cryptocurrency formerly known as iXcoin would serve as a reliable, secure, stable and professional option targeted towards e-commerce, financial securities and global remittance markets with an emphasis on flexibility and mobility.

....

I will cover the costs associated with services to facilitate voting, logo and website designs.

That's much what I was thinking about IXC becoming a stand-in for Bitcoin.  I also wonder if through merged-mining or something else, a close copy could be used to supplement or enhance Bitcoin's features.

Also adding to above. I think we should take this guys plan on reddit. If he wants to pay for it all. Let him. See what happens.

What do you think friction, considering you and your schizophrenic account (lol)  are the dev/s. Do you think this fellow should contribute?

That's a nicer red than the original but I agree, that last gold is kind of bland in that it's too dark.  The first was so vibrant.  Anybody else see this?

I'd like to see that first yellow on this new darker background and I think it will be between that and this new red.  Unless people like the toned down gold which is closer to orange I think.

Let's get some more opinions please.

I think the problem with gold is depending on your display it either shows yellow or orange.

Red always looks red (unless you are color blind).

That's a good point but I'd like to see them side by side.

That said, I don't have any problem with red if a good amount of people here are also ok with it.

to vote your opinion on that reddit proposal.

People need to vote here.  This is the legend for iXcoin.

I don't care if people decide to vote there too but we should split out group up.  This is a team and a community and I don't see why we can't have a valid vote here.

Anybody else wanna chime in?

Their rebrand would have to blow me away and if world dollar is it then that's a joke and it's not happening.

You wanna change it up a little to shed that bad history?

Ok, xCoin would work and it's a name that really works and I think we can even keep the new design logo as the i just denotes personal ownership.

Who here would prefer xCoin over world dollar?

I would avoid to rebrand it in xCoin

Bastards.

Too bad for them I own most of their domains.
