That's a nicer red than the original but I agree, that last gold is kind of bland in that it's too dark.  The first was so vibrant.  Anybody else see this?

I'd like to see that first yellow on this new darker background and I think it will be between that and this new red.  Unless people like the toned down gold which is closer to orange I think.

Let's get some more opinions please.

Did the yellow/gold one just become more orange?  Kind of looks different.  I agree the spacing should match to be more pleasant.  Good catch.

I see Friction's point with the red.  We need to get the final 2 colors perfect and side by side and then do a vote.  Like friction says, we do need to think about the branding and long term.  At this point I'm not so sure which one is best.  I like the gold one best but I also see what Friction is saying.

Let's get them touched up and perfected and see them side by side and do a vote.

I did darken the background a bit. Looks yellow enough on my monitors (calibrated U2713HMs).

My version of that:

I personally like the space between the dot horizontally and vertically to be the same. Your call though.

Really don't mind at this point; both look fine.

Yes, I noticed that.

On the right side, there clearly is an arrow.

However for the left side,  I wonder want could be done with the shapes to make something more familiar come out.

latest update, made a few reds and yellows:

We can take these two?

Like them both, that red is very vibrant, but not too hardcore.
Still prefer the gold, tho'

I totally agree, that's a nicer red than the first darker one but the gold is beautiful.  Vlad hit it with that suggestion.  Thanks to the designer who made it all look so great.

Okay... so I have rebrand the website to use Gold instead?

I understand that the gold looks beautiful, but you have to consider branding too.

Key points about the reddit take over attempt ( http://www.reddit.com/r/ixcoin/comments/1w5xk4/reshaping_and_rebranding_the_ixcoin/ ):

I've been considering the feasibility of re-branding the iXcoin. Code named: Project Evolutio

...

Bitcoin will likely become a quasi-reserve currency of all virtual and cryptocurrencies due to its investment driven focus resulting in a valuation hindering its use as a transactional platform by the mass market.
The newly re-branded cryptocurrency formerly known as iXcoin would serve as a reliable, secure, stable and professional option targeted towards e-commerce, financial securities and global remittance markets with an emphasis on flexibility and mobility.

....

I will cover the costs associated with services to facilitate voting, logo and website designs.

Anyone want to help cover the cost for software development?

Is IXCoin going to be the 'white label' of all other alt-coins?

Why, it looks like the reddit guy is willing to cover a bunch of the costs.  Nice!

That is pale and faded.  I'd like to see the brighter gold with the dark background.

I don't want gold, I want "red gold".

So who's the new asshole on the block?  You guys don't think it's strange some stranger pops up with a complete plan for iXcoin and tries to hijack it on reddit?

I thought iXcoin was a dead coin nobody wanted.  You guys seeing this kind of thing happen to any other alt coin? Aren't bells going off right now for any of you?  I mean, the guy has a complete plan for iXcoin and even wants to pay for it all. This is not normal.

I expected this to happen but it still surprises me to some extent.  And it's someone with backing since he's offering to pay for a lot.

Very interesting development.  This should be on CoinDesk under latest hijacking news.

Did I not tell you earlier,  if I had VC money,  I would buy up all the coins also!

Interesting,  he didn't approach any of us.

Softened version of the above with a touch of glow:

Still looking for directions. Red or gold?

Pushing the red any darker makes it hard to read at smaller sizes; e.g.

Maybe a vote of some kind?

This looks pale and faded.

I still like the red.

Their rebrand would have to blow me away and if world dollar is it then that's a joke and it's not happening.

You wanna change it up a little to shed that bad history?

Ok, xCoin would work and it's a name that really works and I think we can even keep the new design logo as the i just denotes personal ownership.

Who here would prefer xCoin over world dollar?

Folks... no rename... if you want to preserve the fact that it is 2 1/2 years old, you have to keep the name.

Not open for discussion.

That's even better.  And I think people will find saying xCoin easier over time and the name will morph itself.  I find myself doing it sometimes so I think it's gonna happen with most people.

Okay,  name is not negotiable.   Red is not negotiable with the logo.  ;-)
