Charts, pictures? People today need visual aids. Let's give them a nice, reassuring picture, inspiring confidence, conveying solidity and stability. Am I asking too much from 1-2 pictures?

As I said before: some coins are all marketing, iXcoin is all "geeks' stuff'. Let's jump the fence and give something more to the public.

Okay, final draft,  please check:

"Bitcoin Clone, iXcoin (IXC), Surges To A 3,950% Rise In Value In 3 Months"

iXcoin, a bitcoin clone that has somehow managed to stay under the crypto-gold-rush radar, has had an impressive few months with an explosion in value and network mining power. iXcoin’s market capitalization reached a high of $4.3 million in mid-December 2013, an increase of over 3,950% since September 2013 when it was only valued at $105,800. It has been ranked as high as number ten on coinmarketcap.com, which ranks over sixty crypto-currencies by their market capitalization. Somehow, it has managed this without the hype and popularity of bitcoin and other alternative cryptocurrencies such as scrypt based Litecoin and meme inspired Dogecoin.

iXcoin was released in April of 2011 in a manner similar to Bitcoin. The creator,  used the pseudonym of Thomas Nasakioto (an anagram for Bitcoin’s anonymous creator Satoshi Nakomoto) and has kept a very low profile after the first six months or so. It is essentially a clone of Bitcoin, with the same technical characteristics.

What makes iXcoin different from Bitcoin is its merged mining capability. Early in 2012 iXcoin added merged mining to boost its mining support. Some complain that Bitcoin, although revolutionary as a currency, wastes energy because it must be “mined” continuously to produce new coins and to secure it from network attacks. Mining requires significant computing power, but merged mining, it can be argued, puts iXcoin in the green category because it shares mining power with Bitcoin and other merged mined coins. Such mining allows multiple crypto-currencies to be secured by sharing 99% of their computing resources with each other. Thus the “added” computing power required by iXcoin is quite low. Merged mining is green mining.

What sets iXcoin apart from other crypto-currencies? iXcoin is in a unique position. It has a fixed 21 million coin maximum for the number of coins which will ever be created. Many of the other leading coins do not have a fixed cap. A definite maximum gives investors the ability to better gauge long term value, and removes any fear that inflation from oversupply will eat away at the value of their coins. Such has been the dilemma for decades with traditional government backed currencies, and iXcoin will not repeat such mistakes. Furthermore, about 98% of competing coins have lower network hash rates and are therefore less secure. This leaves iXcoin in a unique position of being one of the oldest, most mined, most secure, and most efficient of the crypto-coins.
The popular crypto exchanges Vircurex, Cryptsy and CEX.IO support the trading of iXcoin, and have seen increasing trading volume of late. The recent interest may be attributed in part to a resurgent development team and a new website and forum which came online in December 2013. There is also a new version of the iXcoin client program being tested to bring it up to the latest Bitcoin version. Also important is Bitcoin’s meteoric rise which has helped popularize digital currencies, of which iXcoin is a leading member. iXcoin is currently trading at 11 cents per coin compared to $820 for Bitcoin.

iXcoin’s network mining power, measured in “hash rate”, has been steadily climbing over the last year along with Bitcoin’s. It has been staying around 25-30% of Bitcoin’s, but has gone over 50% at times, meaning over 50% of all Bitcoin miners are at times also mining iXcoin. That’s a tremendous amount of support for iXcoin and produces a coin which is very secure from network attacks. In fact, it has consistently ranked among the top three to four crypto-coins in the world for years now, as measured by network mining power. iXcoin network hash rate is currently 4.5 Peta Hashes/sec, compared to 8.3 Peta Hashes/sec for Bitcoin. From September to mid-December 2013, iXcoin has increased its hash rate by 2,500%.

Proponents rightly point out that the digital currency revolution has the potential to change to world in ways as profound as the internet and the information revolution. iXcoin is well positioned to continue as a leading crypto-currency while the digital currency revolution unfolds. It has been a truly amazing story and has the potential to change the world in ways we can’t yet imagine."

Vlad, I love the SmartMoney angle and it's obvious that's where digital money is gonna be very soon.

So why don't we really start pushing iXcoin as the first SmartMoney in an attempt to be the official SmartMoney out there.

For that to be legit we need Friction to add something to the code, like colored coins, but much more simple to implement as soon as possible.  Cause 3 months is too long and I think someone else is gonna see this and run with it and we'll be the metoo coin which really sucks.

Let's make sure we do the press release right.   It's not like we have a ton of development coin funding.

Press releases should be only once every 3-6 months.   Too many, dilutes the message.   So if you need to, try to cram in as much as you can.

Also, we have to choose out battles.  We can't play the popularity contest against the likes of DOGE.  So time tested, mature is the current angle we have.    Hope this brings in the smart money.

Truth is, we got two main competitors  NMC and DVC.  Both have flaws:

NMC - Really resting on their laurels,  these folks really don't make an effort to push their cause.
DVC -  These folks are active.  They've already sent out their press release.  Consult it for ideas.   The problem I see with it is that 90% of all mined coins go to contributors and currently the way it is distributed doesn't have much structure.   So people who are investing will demand higher accountability.

Very good point - We need to stay focused.

I also agree about the competition.  Namecoin doesn't seem to ever do anything and not to mention they had a horrible death late last year.  I remember reading about it on their thread.  Also, isn't Namecoin very specialized - I mean, it's not ideal for a general purpose coin - it's more about domain names so it's not a good fit for other things.  So Namecoin is out of the running for global adoption in my opinion but that didn't stop it from going from .$001 (one tenth of 1 penny) last year to $1 (that's -1,000 fold) and now with the latest run it went to over $10.  So that coin went up some 10,000 fold, which has never happened in the history of the stock market (according to the Vlad).  And it did it in under 12 months, and with no marketing and with nothing really ground breaking or special.

As for DVC, it has a great community and it is a well known coin but yes, miners get very little and the dilution (infinite) turns off any new investor who knows anything about investments or stocks which where the smart money comes in.

So, out of all the classic, old school coins, the most secure in the world that only leaves iXcoin and iXcoin has so many good attributes that I really becomes a no brainier.  From it's shocking similarity to Bitcoin to its benefits with nine of the stigma and negatives which Bitcoin carries to the fact iXcoin can be molded and shaped exactly as needed to become a true SmartCurrency, a currency which can be pushed out to the masses and easily understood (because it's just like Bitcoin) and integrated (cause anything which recognizes Bitcoin can be made to recognize iXcoin) so much so that it almost looks like it was planned out all along.

I wish I had money right now to buy more iXcoin cause although there may be new "hot" coins like dogecoin, those coins honestly don't look like they'll be popular or even around in 6 months, let alone 3 years and its funny how none of those devs understand the security factor cause they all keep pushing out scrypt CrapCoins so even though there's hundreds of coins out, there's really very very few which can even compete with iXcoin and it doesn't appear that all these wonderful devs even get it.  I love it - iXcoin stands alone and all these new coins aren't doing anything to even challenge it (on the security side).  Lol.

The press release is completed.  Anyone can release it in the event friction and Vlad don't have the time.

Friction I believe has the coins for the PR fee, unless the PR was already paid for, and that's about it.

I will need a public name and address that will need to be included in the press release.

Who would like to volunteer?

Mine is already out there on my domain names so I'll give you mine.

But I don't think you need an address. Just a name and contact info.  Let me know.

What about the press release?
Vlad, who is going to publish it, you or Frictionlesscoin?

In expectation.... Smiley

I recently lost a little bit of money on IXcoin cause it was pump and dumped but i have been reading good things about it as of late.

What pump and dump?

I haven't seen any.  I saw iXcoin pop and drop some but that was due to all the alt coins going and and all dropped.  The only difference is that iXcoin dropped much less than most and has remained very stable.

The stability of iXcoin price lately would put any day trader to sleep.

Well, one of the key new features is the Native User Defined Currencies.   I think this will differentiate itself from every other coin out there.   We are still working out the details, but I expect to see it when the newest version is released,

Today I have published an article about IXC for free to:

www.articlecity.com
www.goarticles.com

Even this one is free, but you have to write an article not directly advertising IXC....
http://cryptosource.org/submit-news/

Can anyone try to submit a free original article talking about altcoins, softly highlighting iXcoin features?

Google something like "publish articles for free", I think you are gonna find a lot of online free resources.

Here they are:

You can do the same, well you can do better.

Thanks!  Brilliant!

Done. Where is the email info for BTC38?

-------------------

Can you please add iXcoin? It's one of the oldest coins on the market with one of the most secure networks in the world.  It has a new development team and it is currently the only merge mined coin to have updated to the latest Bitcoin code.

For these reasons, and others, iXcoin is a must have for any serious investor's portfolio.  Please add iXcoin at your earliest convenience.  Thank you.

Best regards,

Vlad

This is funny.  I got dropped from Sr Member to just plain member.

Do the idiots running this site really expect humans to live here?  Cause I post more than any normal person yet it seems like every time I take a little time out for a real life or for my family, I get downgraded.

This is what monopoly does, it allows for really shitty rules and policies.

I wonder how much longer before Bitcointalk goes the way of all monopolies:  belly up and quickly forgotten.
