It has 81 confirmations Lips sealed

Oh well, must be because you are setting up bitcoind.

This is caused by the BlockChain API not responding to requests meaning the script doesnt know when the new deposits are confirmed. Once the bitcoind instance is uptodate this will be fixed, meanwhile I will confirm them manually Smiley

My deposit is not found: 954f0f5d78642fe241e2d2706244986ef40831e6a5c083c9c4e97f3e5369959e

It's in there now. BlockChain seems to be going screwy bot their API and WebSocket. I'm bootstraping an instance of bitcoind now which will stop these intermittent faults once and for all Smiley

site down

It's seems to be a bad time to be using their services, considering the amount of problems most exchanges are having.

Once my local instance of bitcoind has imported the blockchain, it should be much more stable. No more relying on 3rd party APIs, and only me to blame if it goes wrong then Cheesy

Hi guys, these look to have been deposited around the time the script was getting 503 errors from BlockChain's WebSocket stream. As such they will have been missed - sorry about that. This was all covered in a post this morning, and I am moving away from BlockChain to RPC to prevent these crappy errors.

I will add your transactions now Smiley

We need a big deposit to get this game going again. Come on guys, let's get this party started!!!

Probably screwy transaction IDs again - https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_Malleability

I'll check the wallet transactions and get back to you with the correct ID(s).

yea what do u make outta all of this? do u keep whats in the wallet when transactions cant go through anymore? also can u make a signature for the site?

A service fee is taken to cover hosting costs ~$20 a month (AWS is quite expensive Wink), but as you can see from the wallets transaction history, nothing has been withdrawn for this yet and I will continue to pay for the hosting personally until the game takes off again. See: http://bitvestment.co.vu/about.php

Due to the logic behind the repayments, the wallet will never be left with large sums of coins in it. The script systematically goes through each deposit, in deposit date\time order, and repays what it can, meaning every possible deposit will be repaid leaving the wallet with a few satoshi at best Smiley This was an intentional design requirement to be as transparent as possible with you guys.

My main reasoning for building BitVestment was my frustration of other Ponzi games, waiting for the owner to pay out, or at worse the owner to run away with everyones coin's. Also, being a "techie", just learning a new coding language is a huge benefit to me professionally.

that was my thoughts exactly i like how its so transparent..u should postr that in the starter thread, i think ppl are afraid to give it a shot but if u put that info out there n they can check it (which they can) they might be alot more willing to give it a try...i kno i was!

Optional sig added to the starter post. I'll update it with some more info too.

UPDATE: I've created a new page where you guys can check your own transactions; http://bitvestment.co.vu/checkTx.php

If you think the results are wrong, please let me know!

Are you going to make a new ponzi after the death of this one?

It's not something I've thought about yet, I'm hoping we can keep this one going for a while yet Smiley
