Looks like it will take 100h to find a block. I can't waiting to get my reward and going to try slushpool.com I see they find more blocks I know they have higher PHS but seems this kano.is with this late block find and with such a delay of the payment wont fit on my needs.

just say  the luck sucks.  Grin

well, as you and I agreed last year "luck is not luck at all".
it worked last year, but it seems NOT to be working lately.
I have no idea why. Maybe it is bad S9, maybe it is solar wind in las vegas, maybe it is some minute difference in the software.
I remember reading something unclear about something and before that about something in software that wasn't supposed to be there, but did not affect anything then. Who knows.
I guess my point is all I can see is bottom line numbers, which i will reevaluate at the end of the month (by Phil's birthday Smiley
I am grateful for the overall performance so far, though.
Peace.

Don't make statements of ignorance based on imaginary numbers and times.

we should make 1.3 blocks every day or 1 block every 18 hours.

so make a block  and wait for it to confirm  about 18 hours.  While waiting for it to confirm  if we hit a block  it goes in a cue.

Once we hit a block with confirmed blocks ready we get paid.

I would say getting paid here runs 10 to 50 hours  way more often then 100 hours.

Now  if you want to complain  and sound like you understand the math  just say  the luck sucks.  Grin

Mine at Jonny's Pool
Hi all,

was just looking back to previous months that have similar total pool PH and see that the pool was getting numerous blocks per day with similar PH,

yet now we seem to think a good day is 1 or 2 blocks found..

Finding it hard to believe how bad our luck is recently.
Might want to take a look at how much the network difficulty has changed.  Constant hash rate will produce fewer blocks as difficulty increases.  So, when the difficulty was 196,061,423,940 in June of last year, you would have found considerably more blocks than you are today with a difficulty of 336,899,932,796.

Any chance of a few blocks in the bank before I sell my S9?? Please!!  Grin

Of course after you take a miner off the pool you will get the next 3 or 4 blocks for it because of your 5Nd Grin

That would be nice to get a string of blocks a nice flourish to the end of my "big" mining days however short they were lol

Anyone use the app on their phone?  I have "CKPool" on my iPhone 6 and I use it to periodically check my workers throughout the day whenever I'm "on the go". Today I noticed under "configuration" - "information" - "problems detected:" - "no internet access", both when using wifi and while on my AT&T LTE.  I love the app, I get notifications instantly on blocks found and payouts. Just noticed it quit working for me today. Huh

I just checked the copy I have on my iPhone and sure enough it is down.  vh will probably need to reboot it on his side.  Check out his thread at
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ckpool-stats-iphone-app-1344360 and maybe post the question there as well.

will do. thank you very much for checking and confirming it's not just on my end.

Yup CKPool iPhone app is down Embarrassed

I noticed that hashrate paradoxically disappears after we hit a couple, then comes back if we are going a day without.
Can it work? I seriously doubt it.
It most definitely cannot with PPLNS and a 5xN reward. However people out there have all sorts of strategies they desperately invent to try and increase their profits. There are many threads scattered throughout this forum for people trying to change reward by altering hashrate at particular rates vs time, different addresses, different usernames, changing when to jump into and out of a pool, leaving during times of bad luck, or good luck or somewhere in between and planning to come back when X happens, renting expensive hash just to "keep their 5N high" etc... they're all futile. The only thing that matters is the total number of hashes you contribute, how much it cost you to contribute those, and how lucky the pool is at the time you contributed them. In the days of proportional reward system pools, there were plenty of ways to game the system. Luckily no bitcoin mining pool today uses such a system (except for newbies who appear out of nowhere and think they can create a pool with no experience, slap together whatever software they can find and announce it, thinking it will make them a fortune.)

On a more somber note, people are trying to "play" this pool.
